Shame it's TTL, but I still love the Taker

This is my favorite series in the whole CS line...... sit tight because it is time for a totally unnecessarily long story!
Back when this set was released I was in my third or second year of university, I think it was second. Anyway, I had just gotten my student loan cheque for that semester and I had to get the train to a city called Newcastle to go an put this cheque in the bank. Newcastle had a store called Forbidden Planet which back in the day sold a ton of WWE figures, I went in and saw row after row of Classic Superstars series 3. I was blown away and right there and then I picked up Bret Hart, Ultimate Warrior, and Jake Roberts.
I went to the bank to put my student loan cheque in. Now as well as my student loan, I did also have a job so on this day I was feeling pretty flush with cash, so I said, "screw it" and I went and bought the other three figures from this set. This is one of my favorite figure memories from back when I collected and I also think it is the only time in my toy collecting life that I ever got lucky and was in a store the day they put out a fresh new series.
All six figures are fantastic, even TTL Undertaker, but for me there is two that stand out above the rest and those are Bret Hart and Ultimate Warrior, I just wish that back then Jakks had started making their classic titles. I think I am giving the win to Bret Hart here as I always loved how it says From WrestleMania VIII on the packaging.
One other thing about this set I want to mention is that if you displayed them loose two figures were a bit of a nightmare. Jimmy Snuka as his ankles made him really weak to stand up and Undertaker, Undertaker was a really heavy figure and I learned pretty fast that you needed to have him at the front of a shelf as if he fell, he would take everything around him down with him!

I always wished I picked it up, but my vote goes to Bret for this series. I remember passing on Bret and Warrior since I had the Wave 1 versions to get Snuka and Dibiase. Love the all pink attire on Bret and the inclusion of shades and elbow pads this time around makes it superior to the Wave 1 version, even if they did give him the wrong belt... AGAIN!

I picked Bret Hart because that attire is awesome and it comes with the shades! Ultimate Warrior comes in second followed by Ted Dibiase

They loved giving us the TTL treatment with Undertaker early on.
I voted for him though because the figure is awesome.

Jake Roberts is my favorite by far. I don’t see how it’s only 3 series in and they include Hart, Taker and Warrior in again! Plus the fact that Taker is a TTL AGAIN! Man they dropped the ball heavy in this set.

Bret, that was my first CS figure ever. Warrior was pretty good too.
