Can Almas have a bad match ? I think his last lackluster one was against Roode. But Roode is always lackluster. |

He’s a midcard act with a main event manager. Good worker, not great. Quite easily the worst NXT Champion to-date. I agree on the manager part, Vega is fantastic. but I do think Almas is great in ring, some of the matches he's had over past few months have been great. He's been an awesome champ to me. My issue with him is I don’t care about the moves. He’s good at the execution but I don’t have any emotional attachment to him. That stops him from being great for me. I don’t know if it’s a lack of charisma or if maybe he’s just so clean in the ring he makes it look too easy, but I personally need something that makes me love or hate him and I don’t get that from him. Gargano is kind of a perfect example of this. I like him but he’s not my favorite guy on the roster by any means. When I watch him though he’s got that weird intangible of making me feel his pain and emotion in a match. I think they gave Almas Vega to pull that “it” out of him but all it’s done is make me a fan of Vega. I need more character from him. |
