So I went to the inside the ropes show with heyman tonight and heyman was asked about how him and Brock got put together.
And he said “here’s something nobody knows” and he said at wrestlemania 18 he was supposed to come out with Benoit and be paired with him. Well that didn’t happen cause Vince saw what heyman was doing with Brock after he started doing creative for Brock’s matches, so the thing with Benoit got scrapped and heyman got put with Brock.
Also he planned to make Benoit ECW champ and have him died with Fued but they both left for WCW so it didn’t happen.
Just thought that’d be something cool to share.

benoit was clearly being booked to be ecw champion, that’s no surprise. who else man handled sabu?

Kind of cool to read and interesting to think of what would have happened if Benoit stayed in ECW and became champion in the mid 90's and also what the WWE would have looked like in the begging stages of the brand split with Benoit & Heyman together,would have been a hell of a team up and I assume would have made Benoit the #1 heel on whatever brand and more then likely World Champion a few years earlier then when it actually happend at WM XX.Also got to think of where this would have left Brock in terms of his career ? maybe you could have made stable out of the three and had Benoit as the world champion,Brock as the IC/US Champion and built long draw out storyline like Batista/Triple H with Brock turning on Benoit and going for the title at lets say WM XIX or XX.
