He should definitely tone down some of the awkward, obscure pop culture references, but, aside from that, his passion is really something to be admired. It's easy for the fan to become invested when he is so clearly invested himself. It's something Michael Cole has never been able to replicate with any success at all, and something JR lost quite a long time ago. I like the stupid pop culture references. It's part of his charm for me

How come they allow him to do the boxing events, as well?

How come they allow him to do the boxing events, as well? Because two months of NXT shows are taped in 1 night, so he may only work twice in three months. Not including re-recording/voiceovers, that is a super light schedule.

I saw the video of Mauro Ranallo. I like his passion and enthusiasm on commentary. I even saw Joe Rogan praise it

How dare he suffer from depression soft as baby crap Please don't comment on mental illness if you don't understand what it's like to deal with it. Be thankful that you can wake up every day happy and content without having to suffer from something you have no control over.

How come they allow him to do the boxing events, as well? He's been doing them years before he went to the WWE. So he negotiated for him to be able to. To call boxing/K1/WWE.

He's mentally weak. Fact. I have manic depression and have spent time in an inpatient facility before against my will (gotta love the army) but let me not go to work or not do my job because someone is mean to me. Better yet, let all the other soldiers stay home because they have depression and PTSD. Wouldnt work. You gotta develop thick skin in this world, especially in a business like WWE. Also fact. Getting hurt over my view on a mental health issue I also have, does nothing to me. Either way I said he was a great commentator and hopefully he can be on the main roster again calling classics. Not gonna say hope he gets better because you don't just get better but regardless hope it gets easier for him.

Him and Nigel McGuinness are brilliant commentators; I think they are a great pairing. Percy Watson is awful though, he’s the David Otunga of NXT.

Mauro is awesome and he works well with Nigel, it helps that the nXt product is so good that the announcers can really get into it without it sounding forced.

Love Mauro on commentary shame that he had to leave his place on raw, but glad he's still with the company, looking forward to his eventual call up to main roster commentary.
I get the feeling that he would be hard work to chill and watch the show with though lmao.

I thought nobody would ever come close to JR again, but Mauro is exceptional. How I would love for some of these big Wrestlemania moments to have his voice on. He'd have no doubt kept everyone invested in Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns, and the finish would have been incredible with his backing. It's such a shame that his style of work doesn't fit what the WWE want on programming, which I think need to be revisited. Raw is a 3 hour show, there is plenty of time to plug, hype, sell, promote during that Show. Special segments and Main Event Matches deserve uninterrupted, Mauro style wrestling commentary.

He probably still could be if he wasn’t the ultimate ventriloquist dummy for Vince. Listen to Cole call Mankind winning the WWE title, his commentary helps make that moment all the more special (best moment in Raw history, IMO)

I have had MH issues in my teens/early 20’s and now work as a healthcare assistant at a community rehab centre for MH patients and this is the worst post I’ve ever read. A load of bollocks if I’m honest.

In the meanwhile Michael Cole: - "Vintage [name of the wrestler]!" - "for only $9.99 on the WWE Network" - "Here comes... THE BIG DAWG!"
