I’m really surprised there isn’t a thread about this but is anybody else looking forward to the new game next week? (April 20th) I’ve been a fan of the franchise since 2011 and got all 7 platinum trophies:
God of War
God of War II
God of War III
God of War Chains of Olympus
God of War Ghost of Sparta
God of War Ascension
God of War III Remastered
so I’ll definitely be buying this although I’m not sure whether to pre-order it or just wait till the price drops because I’ll only play through it twice to get the platinum. The reviews so far are REALLY tempting to make me pre-order 😩

Definitely looking forward to it. Like the switch to Norse mythology for this one. I know there are some God of War 'purists' that don't like the changes made to the game, from the rest of the series, but from what I've seen, I think it looks great. From what I hear too, his son is supposed to be a helpful AI, kinda like Elizabeth in Bioshock Infinite.

I was always looking forward to it but the rave reviews are really pushing it over the top. I do hope there's more weapons than just the axe though.

I’m open and looking forward to kicking some Norse mythology ass, but the only thing that’s going to annoy me is if the camera angles are like Ascension because those were distracting as hell at times and judging by the gameplay trailer it is. |

Pre ordered the game from Smyths for £43 (cheapest I’ll find it on the first day release imo) and just drew this. lol I’m so excited.  Kratos kinda looks like Tomasa Ciampa with the beard lol |

Played a little bit, today, and I'm loving it so far. I like how early on, you can see Kratos is trying to keep his anger in check. And man, the stuff with the late wife at the start, who knew the emotions could be there for God of War.

I’m really not feeling this game with the different controls and camera angles. Graphics are great but I feel like there isn’t as much violence etc compared to the previous games.

Been playing the game a lot since my last post and I’ve changed my mind. I’m kinda shocked God of War has never been a free roaming game until now. I’m not sure how much I have left of the main story till I finish (judging by the PS Trophies list I’m close) but I find myself straying away from it and completing favours, artifacts etc which is pretty cool. There’s definitely a whole lot to do in this game! There’s a really nice throwback to the first game which made me happy as hell lol (I won’t spoil it though)

I have to say, every game you get minor characters that are just too good, and I have to say at least at the point I'm at, Brok, is the best one for GOW. He's freaking hilarious. And I love some of the dry humor with Kratos: "what are we hunting?"
"you are hunting deer."
"which way?"
"In the direction of deer."
