WWE really can’t do anything without someone making a thread bitching over nothing can they?

Eh I'd be elated if I was them. One less night of taking bumps and being on the road. I feel like the women should get something for being forced to sit out. Maybe their own ppv special. It's not beneficial to go that gimmicky with the Womens Revolution. Its not beneficial for WWE to go to a country against Women's rights but yet here we are. I still think The Women deserve a special.
I'm sure the women are delighted to miss a day of pay..... not.

If it makes you feel any better, you can imagine WWE went to a country that restricts women’s rights in the hopes of one day changing their backwards way of thinking. I’m sure at least a few of the top brass have that in their minds.... just behind the giant dollar signs that sit in the front.

I’d much rather stay home anyways than go to Saudi Arabia. Besides this I the wrestling business. Don’t hold your standards so high when it comes to wrestling lol. It’s their way of life over there. If you want a big payday then you play by their rules.
Besides this is the same company that is writing weekly fat jokes at Nia Jax while always promoting anti bullying here in the US. Why does this surprise you?

It absolutely is hypocrisy, and I for one will not be watching this event. I'm shocked by the responses in this thread, to be honest. I expected most people to have a problem with this, but instead I'm incredibly disappointed. If being appalled by WWE's complete lack of morals whilst promoting a movement that is completely contradictory to Saudi Arabia's beliefs is "moaning over nothing", then I'll happily moan over "nothing".
WWE is a business, I get that. They were paid a lot of money to go over and do this show, I get that. But they cannot promote women empowerment and then go over and happily put on a show in a country in which women have virtually no rights at all. It is absolutely hypocritical, and anyone disputing that is flat-out wrong. It's disgusting, and a company with so much influence that a lot of people look up should be better than this. By happily putting on this show, they're essentially promoting discrimination against women, while simultaneously trying to promote women empowerment. How are people not seeing this as a big problem?!
As far as I'm concerned, Saudi Arabia does not deserve this, by any means. They're a country with laws stuck 2,000 years in the past, and those laws do not deserve to be respected. Until Saudi Arabia's laws begin to catch up with the rest of the world, WWE should not go there. Why anyone believes that their culture of treating women as inferiors deserves to be respected is beyond me.

Its Saudi that dont allow the women out there not WWE, WWE wouldnt get the law changed if they said "Women arent wrestling so we aint performing" and judging by the card its gonna rake in a lot of money... its only going to make the WWE a bigger machine and overall everyone will benifit... including women, so take that Saudi!!

Lets be realistic...Nobody is actually upset that WWE is going to Saudi Arabia and women cant go. You know why? Because they've gone to Saudi Arabia nearly every year for 20 some odd years and women werent allowed and you didnt bitch once. What people are mad about is that they're making this a HUGE show and its "not for us"....They're not catering to some mark city like Chicago, Philly, NY or wherever. The spoiled ass wrestling fan isnt being catered to. Boo ing hoo!

Yes, I don’t agree with the way women are treated in the Middle East and think somewhere else should have gotten a network special like maybe Japan or Mexico or something.
And is no one going to mention the god awful name and logo? The name sucks and the color choice to the logo is terrible and lazy.

I read somewhere that the Greatest Royal Rumble is actually part of something to modernize Saudi Arabia socially. I feel like it's a step ahead for the country because they need to start somewhere and even though it hasn't really been that forward this is a step in the right direction.

Get your logic out of here! This is a WWE event/news item, so we must complain about it constantly until the next thing to complain about diverts our attention from it. To do otherwise is to disrespect the Wfigs culture.

The point is the people who went into outrage mode about the name of a damn pre-show battle royal have gone into hiding.

Celebrating Moolah who pimped out & stole from her students is wrong. WWE isnt celebrating the Saudi's social stances. They're not parading their women around the ring like pieces of meat. They're holding a show there. Nothing more, nothing less...Just as they've done for years and years. Also if it was only about social issues then Id like to know where everyones bitching is at when WWE works in other Muslim countries where being homosexual is punishable by death.
