Why couldn’t they just repackage him is my question lol they write him off and get rid of him for a storyline piece they wrote. They could have repackaged him, and probably would have, but he quit while he was in developmental waiting for a new gimmick. He was bullied a lot by the usual suspects (Benoit, Bradshaw, Holly) during his short run on the roster. Sounds about right.

Awesome! Really do miss that guy. The guy was like 23 at the time he left the company and was absolutely amazing on the mic. I think of what could've been every time I see Jinder Mahal on my screen, who is essentially just a poor, watered down imitation of what Hassan was.

I thought that he didn't want anything to do with the Wrestling business anymore

Couldn't believe when he was released and the fact that another company never picked him up and that he hasn't wrestle since 2005.A someone else pointed out just 36 right now and a company like TNA could really use him.I am guessing that his short year run or so on the main roster really soured him on pro wrestling in general with how badly he was handled and the fact that he was bullied at such a young age in the business. He quit. I am very sure other companies called him, but he turned them down. He is now a school teacher I believe. He didn't quit he was released. That's straight from him. He did say that TNA contacted him but he had enough of the wrestling business and moved on.

He was a really good promo and had a great look. I wonder if WWE let him do something like come out right after the controversy and get on the mic and said "My name is Mark Magnus, you might have known me as Muhammad Hassan. *boos from crowd* Yeah, the stereotypical Arab Terrorist character. Well, I'm not a terrorist, I'm not even Arab. I'm Italian! But WWE in their infinite wisdom said 'Kid here's what we're going to do with you' Well, you might have heard about the horrible attacks last week in Britain. What did WWE do after that? Did they drop the gimmick? Did they let me be me? NO! They WANTED TO FIRE ME! When things got too hot for them. THEY WANTED TO FIRE ME for something that was completely out of my control! Well I'm not going to let those idiots fire me for something I have no control over...yadda yadda yadda..." Have him become a pain in the ass that randomly attacks people, cuts a good promo and you have a good mid-carder that gets over. I don't mean to be an armchair booker, but I think it might have worked out pretty well. Funny you mention that because Mark said that was Triple H’s idea for him I truly wish they would have went that way with him then. He was a good talker and absolutely had the look. It wasn't his fault what happened to him.

I was a huge fan of his and felt he had a ton of potential. Great talker and solid in the ring.
The sad thing is that his character was never a terrorist to begin with. He was portrayed as an Arab-America who was treated poorly because Americans stereotyped him as a terrorist when he was just a normal guy. The beauty of it was that the fans were proving him right by booing him. Then the WWE botched the whole thing by making him a terrorist, the very thing that his character was never suppose to be when he first debuted.

Woah, he looks great! If only NXT was in his future. (Yes, I selfishly want a Mattel figure of him).

Guy looks great. I’d love to see him get another shot in the WWE but it’ll never happen. This guy had so much potential. I thought he’d be bigger than all the other prospects that came in around that time like Kennedy, MVP, Carlito, Masters, etc...

Bring him back and have him beat the Undertaker in his last match because he didn’t deserve to lose his job the way he did god dammit 😤 I’m exaggerating of course but I would like to see Hassan back, he was an incredible heel.

I would bring him back and have him instantly win the U.S. title and start his gimmick again.
