John Cena probably never wanted to propose to her in the first place. This whole thing sounds like it was Kevin Dunn's idea.

Seeing a lot of responses on social media of "time for Dolph to cash in!". Am I missing something here?

Seeing a lot of responses on social media of "time for Dolph to cash in!". Am I missing something here? They apparently dated for like a split second and at least in a Total Divas episode, Dolph tried to get her back in some overly dramatic scene where they acted like Cena was going to get him fired over it. It was all probably fake.

I never know what's real or what's part of Total Divas/Bella's anymore.

I know the Beaver has a job for life, but let's say these articles aren't exactly painting the poster boy for WWE in a positive light. If it was truly Bucky Beaver's idea, it may be time for Vince to ship him to a more manageable job, like something in the mail room because if this plays out poorly in the public sphere, it could do some damage to the goody goody nature of John Cena, which will hurt merchandise sales and marketability. people.com/tv/nikki-bella-devastated-over-john-cena-split/

Mania last year was very obvious what they were gonna do, I'm wondering how much of it was Cena's idea, and if WWE poised the idea to him...

And that's not a good look for Cena. Like many of today's current stars (who made their marks recently), a lot of their profitability rests on their image and brand. If WWE's brain trust thought this would be a great angle to run with because of Nikki's involvement in E! shows, they really needed to think hard about what would happen in a break up. Is it worth the risk of having their poster boy (who I concede is on the way out) look bad? I know this is crass, but I don't hear a lot of stories about Make A Wish Kids wanting to meet anyone but John Cena from WWE. The whole reason for never turning Cena heel was to avoid negative portrayals so that WWE could profit and run with his spotless rep.

Meh. Brie is obviously the better choice anyways. I think Brie always came across as a much nicer person than Nikki and her relationship with Daniel Bryan always seemed more loving than Nikki Bella & John Cena.

Steve Austin beat his wife, it didn't hurt his marketability.

If his divorce with his ex-wife didn’t do anything to Cena’s image or brand, or Ford suing Cena for breach of contract did nothing. I highly doubt calling it off with Nikki will. Kids aren’t going to care.

Seems like a work to me. Especially how it's an announcement (a second hand person) yet it's posted on her Instagram. Besides it's also Nikki's fault too. I bet if Nikki gave up wrestling then he would be more inclined to have a kid with her. I understand his mindset, and how can they have a baby and both be on the road raising it. She doesn't want a kid any more than leaving the company. She def doesn't want to ruin her body with one either. So I wouldn't put all the weight of that decision all on Cena. I really doubt this considering Mickie has a kid and is still wrestling..

Does anyone know a specific reason why he doesn’t want kids? I heard once it’s because he works with make a wish so much and he wouldn’t want to witness his child go through what other children go through. Cause he has a lifestyle that would keep him away from being a father. Some call it selfish, I call it being honest. I respect someone that can make a decision like that instead of trying and failing as a parent. I don't know, the roster has many fathers that still manage to make time for their kids. I don't buy this.

I don't buy this. Maybe he can’t be the father he would want to be. Yeah there are plenty of fathers on the roster. How many miss birthdays, school plays, soccer games and everything else? And that’s a lower tier guy. Cena does plenty more with all his appearances also
