I watched he movie yesterday. I loved it. Wasn't crazy about the ending. But the Scene with Spidey and Iron Man was heartbreaking. Can't wait for next summer! God that was such a gut punch. That whole ending was a massive gut punch, but Peter and Tonys hurt even more.

Why the hell didn’t they just cut Thanos’ arm off?? Lol, and I loved the movie! Would be down to go see it again in theaters!! Anyone can give me a brief history on the super lady that gets beeped at the after credit scenes??

Saw it Saturday and still crushed by this film. An experience I won't forget and I wish the year would hurry up already.

Anyone can give me a brief history on the super lady that gets beeped at the after credit scenes?? If you’re referring to the scene on Titan, it seemed like as soon as he felt pain he’d wake up based on Starlord hitting him in the head. They probably didn’t have anything that would guarantee a clean chop in one go. If you’re talking about when Thor threw his axe at him, yeah I agree that Thor had a shot to take his arm off instead of aiming for his chest. Though based on Thor gloating in Thanos’ face, he probably felt that the shot to the chest would be enough to incapacitate him.

If they had the rights to the X-men, I know a certain mutant who could get the job done.

I think Iron Man could have easily cut his arm clean off in that scene. But it's a movie. Pulling off the gauntlet follows the narrative and makes for a better visual conflict. I actually think they let the gauntlet come off a little too much. It made Peter look like a total dope after he was already the punching bag for the entire first half of the movie. Thor too, but at least Thor thought he was going to stop Thanos in his tracks. Stormbreaker could have easily lobbed off his entire left arm, though.
I hate when the bad guy needs the good guy to act like an idiot in order to evade a situation. That's a basic "run upstairs and hide in the closest instead of running away from the house for help" trope. Thanos is an amazing villain and he had the gauntlet. He's obviously more vulnerable in the Titan encounter but both of those situations could have been avoided. That's where dramatic effect trumps common sense in storytelling. Sometimes "because movie" has to be a good enough answer.

Great film. Still trying to get over the ending.
Small bit I loved was the bit in Scotland where the sign in the shop read ‘we will deep fry your kekab’.

Saw the film for the second time this evening, with my gf this time. We'd both seen it separately over the weekend (I needed to see it in 3D and 3D is no good for her as it messes with her eyes) so it was nice to go again together. Obviously when you know what's coming the events aren't quite as hard hitting but it's still an amazing watch. You're free to focus on something different in a scene and see things you missed the first time around. Like blue Tobias Funke.

So quick story... I work with kids. And I was talking to one about the movie and how much we both loved it. The kid looked at me and says, "but how did Thanos know he wouldn't be part of the 50%?"
To which I had no answer. I was kinda dumbfounded, cause he sorta has a point. I assume it was because he had the Gauntlet, but I don't know that for a fact.

That would be the ultimate thumb in the eye though, wouldn't it? He snaps his fingers and kills himself. I guess going from a purely "don't question it" story aesthetic, he's probably safe because he's the initiator...but man...that's heavy.

I think you're probably right about him having the Gauntlet so he was safe but that kid is brilliant I never would've thought of that .

After the finger snap, when he walked up to little Gamora and she asked if he had done it and what it had cost him, my first thought was that he had died.
