Sup guys - definitly a fantasy football expert, but I just always like to get other outside the league opinions on certain tempting moves I'm capable of making.
I've got the 5th pick this Sunday in my main league. A regular yahoo 12 team league. Anyways , a lot of experts on espn, roto and what not consider the 5th pick to be one of the worst picks in this years draft - due to the Portis injury and of course all the 1st round rb question marks. So I'm thinking I should trade my 5th pick for either the 8th or 9th or even the 6th or 7th. All have been offered to me - and I'd be doing it, to simply gain a better choice at my 2nd round pick - which in this years draft, is almost as good as a 1st rounder could be.
Help guys - Im sure a lot of others who are playing this year have a similiar predicament.
Thanx

I would definitely suggest trading down. You're right - the Portis injury is scary. I was able to pick him at #7 overall, which I considered to be a solid pick. At #5, though, it might be a huge question mark.

I like Ronnie Brown, but I dont know If I like him enough. I'm thinking going with Cadillac if Im gonna pick that late, and try to snake around and grab Reggie..... Love this time of the year....

If you would like to check my fantasy record in WF leagues then go ahead, I know what Im talking about.
So what if I change my name? what does that hafta do with anythoing you loser.
Here is my real advice:
Portis is much better than Cadillac or whomever you would take that late...McGahee or whatever, so why not take him and the 7th or whatever pick you have coming back and grab Bush.
Take Portis or Edge with the 5th pick poser
Also I dunno how you can trade picks in a Yahoo league

I won my fantasy football title the 1st year I played. Nuff said. Portis was definitly my #5 pick - I was gonna take him for sure. Until he got his injury. An injury that might of course effect his season play. Duh - I'd obviously snatch his ass if he was at 100 percent, but im not gonna makeroll my season on whether or not Portis is gonna stay healthy. Plus Wash. just cuffed Duckett - So obviously they're concerned as well. If it comes up before Sunday - that Portis is progressing well - then I'll stick with the pick...... As for our league - we get together and draft together. If we wanna trade picks , we trade picks. Simple as that brah......

In the 4 drafts Ive done this year the #5 pick has been
Brady, Brown, Alexander and Portis.
In 3 of the leagues Portis/Edge/Barber/Jackson were all there past 5
Brady and Brown were reaches and Alexander fell, the point of my story
Tiki, Jackson, Portis and Edge are much better than the Dom Davis, Cadillacs and McGahees of the world

I've never played Madden a day in my life..... If Brady is going in the 1st round of your leagues , that tells you what kind of leagues you guys are in LOL What # did Rod Smith go in your leagues - 12th?

If I trade down to 7th , 8th , or 9th - I should still be able to grab a Jackson, Rudi , Brown , or Edge

He's not even a 2nd or even possible 3rd rounder

He is arguably the 3rd best QB in the draft, Ive seen him go in the top 2 rounds in every draft Ive been in. Especially with the question marks around Palmer, hes gone pretty high

My personal opinion is that if you trade down, you should be looking to land someone like Rudi Johnson.

I think taken Edge/Tiki/Jackson/Portis is better than Rudi Yeah I definitly don't like Rudi. There's so many damn question marks this year around the board. Its hit or miss I guess. So all in all - you guys would stick with #5 and take a shot at Portis or what? Tough call fa sheezy
