Ugh. Sting fans want his iconic surfer look — BADLY. We have already gotten the crow version. It wasn’t perfect but it was damn good. If they can produce Ron Simmons, the Shark, Harlem Heat, etc. — how can they not release an iconic surfer Sting? That makes no sense. The conspirator in me thinks they still spite WCW and don’t want to please their fans — and instead we get version after version of some current wrestler that will never have the impact on the business that guys like Sting had. But this is just a dumb theory, lol. lol at saying no one now will have an impact close to Sting Dude - Hammer Head? Thunder in Paradise? Don’t try to deny this man’s legacy.

AoP, Styles, Owens, Dude Love, Sting are all must buys. Maybe Braun depending on attire and head scan

This is from Amazon’s system for E61 and 62: WWE Shop also has Sting replacing Enzo Amore. Man I hope they snuck in a surfer Sting this year.

I'd say the 2nd Defining Moments Sting was a pretty iconic Surfer Sting... I would like more though.

I still believe that there are plenty of crow Sting looks Mattel could make. The problem is they keep releasing the same crap without actually changing up the molds. Sting had many variations of the crow attires, from boots, to singlets to hairstyles. I want a proper surfer one as well, but I REALLY want a definitive crow version in his '98 look. The Wolfpac Sting was halfassed and I wish we could get a remake. Mattel really needs to take the time to create a singlet mold for those stumpy legs they made for him. The Eddie Guerrero torso is far too thin and makes the figure look unproportional. I believe that was one of the reasons why Mattel couldn't get the nwo logo in the correct place. I'm not getting my hopes up, but man Sting was the last guy to sign with WWE. As far as the surfer Sting goes, Mattel has the Austin torso, thick dolph ziggler legs and could either use the current Sting boots they're using or the ones from the crow. No excuse as to why they keep giving us the Batista torso and chicken legs.

And why on Earth have Mattel not redesigned the legs with the pads? They've had a lot of time.

Sting I'm only guessing to save money on costs because people wouldn't really notice the difference. I think they should of went with this approach, made a unique torso, padded legs, tall boots for anything 97-98. The starrcade torso was fine (the boots were the only problem). The surfer Sting has the same short boots as the Wolfpac Sting which could of been used for both had they shared the same leg thickness. Then for anything 99ish- 01 just swap out boots. He wore a variety of boots from laced to laceless. The only time they would have to mold new calves would be for the white boots he wore during 1999. He also wore padded leather pants during his feud with Bret in 1999 as well. Then for a modern day Sting use a slightly smaller version of the mold I referred to, Sting wasn't in the same shape he was in 90s let's face it and add glosses boots (which toybiz got right).

If Enzo was replaced by Sting last minute I wouldn't hold my breath on it being anything remotely mind-blowing.
They haven't had a flashback in the elite set in quite sometime so it isn't like this Sting was planned far in advance for something else.
You know what would have demanded relatively low deco and effort? ELITE GOLDBERG.
Just saying.

Quite some time? E59 Kurt Angle and E57 Scotty. I know, it’s not the type of flashbacks people want, so they don’t count.

Seeing Sting listed in an Elite line makes me happy....however knowing Mattel they're either gonna it up or make it a crow sting that we dont need. All you gotta do is use the Network Spotlight head, Bulldog torso, ripped Cody Rhodes arms (think Ziggler may have hand them too) and I dont care what color scheme you go with at that point, Ill be happy.

Oh yeah forgot about Andre. Now if E55 Taker had been the latest Flashback, then I could agree that 6/7 sets would be a while without one.
