I was so pumped for this PPV with all the positive press the UFC has been getting over the last week. My biggest fear was that the PPV would be a disappointment in the eyes of many & I think it looked that way. A lot of fights ending in the first round kinda took away from what they usually do. So I can see people upset for paying $40 for fights that were so short. You think the PPV looked a dissapointment? Are you joking? That was a great PPV and i got it for free but i would have happily paid £15 just to watch it. 5 awesome fights, some great knockouts and then 2 fights then went the distance which were both fantastic. One of the best PPV's in a while, Overall there wasn't one bad fight that i saw. I kinda feel bad for Chuck though but i'm sure he'll be back, I'd like to see him fight Forrest if Forrest wins at UFC 72.

Shogun is already signed to the UFC, he's hoping to fight at UFC 72, which would totally turn that card around.

chuck wont see the gold again!
starnes got a simple victory there, leben was more aggressive, but kalib was more technical.

You can quote me Chuck will see gold by or in 08 I don't see it happening. There is simply to much new talent that I don't think Chuck can hang with. Shogun, Henderson, and Rampage are just a few. Not to mention how phenomenal Houston looked. Wow. Knockout over Jardine was shocking. Very raw brawler who looks hard to deal with in the cage. Interested to see how far up the rankings he moves. I hate Chuck. He is a one trick pony. I would love to see him use his wrestling since he is supposedly "world class" instead of always wanting to stand-up. I mean I guess use what works. But in the same right I would say it should be the fighters main concern and objective to entertain the fans. And Chuck has yet to have a fight that entertained me besides the 2 against Tito and his loss to Rampage.

I don't think Chuck will be LH champ anytime soon, there is too much new blood rising up that's got too much for him imo. Chuck's a good fighter, but it's gonna take a bit to rebound from a loss like that. Also Quinton is generally a stand up guy. And I think generally a cocky attitude comes with all MMA & Boxers generally, they all think their the best. I hated how Chuck tried to argue with McCarthy about the decision. He was cleanly down and out and Liddell wouldn't be arguing if it was reverse situation. It'll be up to his likely encounter with Silva to see if he's still got it

Right now would actually be a perfect time for the Liddell vs. Silva dream match.
Both are coming off of championship losses, so it could be hyped as a battle for each man to redeem himself following devastating KO losses.

Also Quinton is generally a stand up guy. True. A couple of years ago he put his phone number up on Myspace, my friend called it and he actually talked to him for at least 15-20 minutes. Thats all for the fans, and he puts on a show for the fans as well.

I'm not a huge Chuck Liddell fan and I was certainly cheering for Rampage to win to give a "new look" to the LHW division, but I don't see how you can say Liddell isn't entertaining. He's one of the most exciting fighters in the world. People always complain about fights going to decisions and that the judges make wrong decisions... Well, Liddell doesn't let it go to decisions. He hasn't gone to a decision in over 5 years and I think most people love it.

Chuck wearing gold again in 2008? Chuck is one of my favorite fighters and even I know that there's no way that that's going to happen. the UFC LHW division is getting a huge makeover now and getting a crapload of new contenders... Chuck is getting old and there's no doubt that he can hang with these new guys, but I don't ever see him being the unstoppable force that he's been the last few years.. Especially with guys like Silva, Shogun, Rampage, Hendo, and apparently Houston now in the division. First I'd like to see Chuck fight Wandy, of course, and then jump weight classes to HW. I think it's more likely that he'll win HW gold then LHW now.

I think Cro Cop and Liddell would be AWESOME. Or Arlovsky(sp?) and Liddell Chuck would knock out Arlovski. I was a huge Arlovski fan a few years ago but his last 3 or 4 matches have been boring. And he seems to have been exposed to having a weak chin. Cro Cop and Liddell would be an amazing fight though. I think both fighters would balance each other out. And when I said Liddell is a one trick pony..blah blah blah. I meant he is such a talented and well rounded fighter. Why he always wants to keep it as a kickboxing match is beyond me. I mean I understand doing whatever you feel comfortable doing to win. But what about entertaining the fans? I still have no idea why he was so popular. He is an amazing fighter. But the poster boy for MMA? Ehhhhhh, I could think of 5 names off the top of my head that deserve it more than Liddell.
