that fight was the exact reason why i will not and refuse to buy ppv's instead, i go to my uncles house to watch it. thats the thing with the UFC and MMA and most any other fighting sports, you dont know when its gonna end and its always a crapload of money to shell out. i enjoyed watching it though

I almost watched this tonight, but planned on going to sleep early (ironic as I am typing this at 2:10am). Now I wish I had gone, I would have loved to see Liddell lose.

Rampage made Liddell his bitch. For the second time. About time Liddell lost , I was tired of betting on the other guy and them losing. Chuck should have thanked Big John for stopping it when he did becuase Quentin was landing straight blows to the face on the ground and Chuck's hands were at his sides. It would have gotten ugly real quick. Congrats to Rampage , dude is great. Hopefully with the recent hype for this fight , he will get some interviews on ESPN next week which knowing him will be awesome.

DAMMIT! I missed Dan Henderson getting in the cage!
I left the restuarant as soon as the KO happened because I needed to go home and go to sleep. (I'm already up and at work with just a few hours sleep)
For those unaware, the belts Dan had with him were the Pride Welterweight (183lb) and Middleweight (205lb) Champion.
What's awesome is that we are now finally getting a UFC vs Pride championship fight, granted only one of the belts is on the line, but still a history making fight.

yeah you should try to YouTube it or something, it was a pretty good moment, I think Rampage (though it could have been Dan), said something about it being good for the fans because they are finally getting to see who the best fighters in the world are.
On the flip side, with Henderson coming over, and rumors of Shogun and Wandy.. Pride seems to be on its way out. UFC looks to be harvesting all of the good guys and letting it die. Which sucks, but was expected.

I don't think anyone expects the Fertitta-ran Pride to be the same as the past.

I never thought I would say this, but I like ufc better than wwe. Although I do like pro wrestling better than mma in general. If I had a choice between watching TNA Impact or an Ulitmate fight night, I'd probably go with the former, but I'd take UFN over any wwe show these days.

chuck was right, he said the fight would end in the first round by KO but he got the winner wrong.. and to think that right before the fight there was an article on yahoo that said Liddell was prob the greatest MMA fighter of all time..but its clear, there is nobody like Emelianenko..

I guess I left a little early too cause I left right after Chuck got on the mic. It was so loud in the bar that I couldnt hear anything. I might be wrong, but did I hear Rogan say something to Chuck about a rematch clause in his contract?
I was so pumped for this PPV with all the positive press the UFC has been getting over the last week. My biggest fear was that the PPV would be a disappointment in the eyes of many & I think it looked that way. A lot of fights ending in the first round kinda took away from what they usually do. So I can see people upset for paying $40 for fights that were so short.
Also, I had been saying I couldnt bet against Chuck until he lost, but will all the press stuff he did this week, I had to think there was no way he was 100% prepared. Not to take anything from Rampage, but I dont think Chuck was ready. Congrats to Rampage & I think we are going to be in for a great title reign.

They talked to Dana on ESPNews a few moments ago about the future of UFC and he stated that Chuck Liddell is going to have to work his way up to a title shot.....he also made clear that Dan Henderson is the number 1 contender

Indeed , bet Dana was kicking himself for making that one. First Jardine beats the poster boy Forrest than gets ko'ed in the first minute by a UFC newcomer.

Rampage vs Henderson should be something good.
Congrats on Rampage winning I think he deserved. I loved how he just threw his arms up egging on Liddell to come at him. Liddell was well out of the fight at the end.
It seems like all the champs are falling recently and upsets in every main event starting with Couture over Sylvia. I haven't picked one of those winners since but did pick Rampage mainly because of bias probably.
