Hey everyone! Steve from Mattel here.
I just wanted to pop in and clarify things with this program a bit.
Mattel isn't "sponsoring" anyone. It's simply an influencer program where we'll send out a few early samples of select figures to some talented photographers and YouTubers to give you guys an early look at product along with accurate information to steer you in the right direction when they are released soon thereafter. It's no different than what many companies do with providing review samples for social media, TV, and print or screening movies early for review. Think Pixel Dan and ToyNewsI on YouTube.
These sneak peaks along with the Elite Squad program, presence at events like Axxess, and the work we do with great partners like Ringside are positive steps towards us getting more directly involved with this awesome collecting community. More good stuff on the way guys.

I still think it's funny that people think Bill quit the forum in December 2017 over a post I made in like October of 2015, lol. From what I understand, Bill had an aneurysm over somebody posting a pic that they found on AMAZON of the best of Attitude Era figs.

This is fine and a wise marketing move on Mattel's part. No reason to get worked up.

Long time collector first time caller....Any chance you can steal the One Man Gang proto and let me "review" it...I would greatly appreciate it and your pockets would as well.

I think it’s a great idea. Steve Action Figure Attack from mattel is a great fellow collector and has been really pushing some great ideas to get us excited for new releases. And it’s working lol! Keep up the good work buddy. Like any one of us I’d love to be an influencer for mattel but the guys they chose take some great shots and work hard. It’s def work building up your page and trying to post pics that ppl find interesting and entertaining. I’ve been at it for a constant 5 years now and you have to get creative with posts to keep your page growing. This benefits us all. ***Shameless Plug*** check me out @mattelelite4life

From what I understand, Bill had an aneurysm over somebody posting a pic that they found on AMAZON of the best of Attitude Era figs. He had a meltdown in your thread about the sting figure, which you basically had a stroke over... yet ended up buying several of anyway. The thread was filled with you and other posters criticizing his dedication and calling him lazy...that’s what pissed him off and why he stopped coming on as often as he once did

TBH, I'd prefer Mattel just send out info on here instead of handing out free samples to brownnosers like Pixel Dan (who just panders and ends up chucking his stuff in bins never to be heard from again). I just hope to GOD Mattel doesn't send that hack Grim any samples, he won't even review it properly and just chuck the figures in cow manure and play out a "moist towellete on a pole" match.

Give me one of each Mattel figure and doubles of every Sting figure ever made and I won’t put you in the Scorpian deathlock. On a serious note, I think the guys getting the early releases are a good thing. We do get to see what the figures look like etc before we commit to buying them. And some of them like the Squated Circle Photography guy just posts damn good figure pictures.

You are just jealous and delusional. This is marketing. The influencers are people with a following. This has nothing to do with leaked line ups or scalpers. Most toy companies do this.

Interesting you lead with a personal attack. Just looking for others opinions, no need to get personal... And yes, I said I was jealous...
