Awesome news about both Mysterio and Rousey being pre-order bonuses. I hate to say it, but as glitchy as 2K18 has been I've still been playing it since it's release and I still thoroughly enjoy the gameplay for most matches. I'll undoubtably be pre-ordering the standard Deluxe edition around September as well. I know it's a high hope that this year won't be as filled with bugs, which is crazy considering 2K has the entire year to figure their s*** out, but I'm a sucker for these games and am already looking forward to picking this up on October 5. The roster this year is going to be insane, which is a major feat considering 2K18s roster was pretty epic in it's own right.

There's a rumor that there will be a Daniel Bryan Showcase mode.

Yeah, the last day or two sites reporting on Daniel’s contract situation have mentioned him being the Showcase as it pertains to him potentially re-signing.

If they did a Daniel Bryan showcase, on one hand I'd love to get multiple versions of Bryan with different hairstyles, facial hair, and attires but as for Arenas/Other Superstars/Moves and etc I don't think we would get anything too interesting; At most probably different versions of Kane, Miz, Sheamus, Reigns, Rollins, Ambrose, Big Show, Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista, Big E, and Dolph Ziggler.

A Daniel Bryan Showcase mode would be pretty cool, starting with the whole Nexus thing and going all the way to his return, would be a fun story to play through.
I still want an arcade mode where I pick any wrestler I want and try to win a series of titles.

Here’s hoping that seeing they are using Piper’s voice for the Rousey commercial he’s back in the game this year.

Awesome that Ronda is in the game, and like PJ said, hopefully since they used Piper's voice in the commercial that it means he back in the game, too. For a Legend like Piper it's hard to understand why he's hardly ever in any of the games. He needs to be in every year.

i'm saddened that there is no Switch version, but people must've known this well in advance since the tech specs of the Switch aren't particularly powerful

Can you preorder, pick up the game, use the DLC codes, and then return the game for a full refund? Every single WWE game has been on sale for $30-$40 within a month of its release. I refuse to pay $60 (or $48 with GCU or Prime) for a game that I can get for half the price by waiting a month.

Wouldn’t plan on opening the game. The preorder DLC code wouldn’t be in the packaging so no need to open. But wonder if they would revoke the content if you returned the game or if was even possible. Or would they only refund you a portion back minus the value of the DLC.

I think the code would be on your receipt not inside the game. But I think the game needs to be on the system for you to activate them. So unless you rent the game the codes wouldn’t work. And I think if you waited until the game went on sale once you returned the game the code wouldn’t work anymore.

What's with all this talk of DLC codes being on receipts? They've always been inside my game box on a piece of card, every year. I apologise for not helping, but I'm just puzzled as to why it's different for the rest of you. Is that just how they do it in America?

I'm in Canada and I've had some games with physical cards inside with the Pre-order bonus codes (WWE 13 for sure) and I have also had the codes printed on my receipt before (2K15 I remember).
I want to say it's usually on the receipt these days but I haven't bought a physical game in years now so I'm not totally sure.

Preorder code for the preorder bonus wrestlers from past years such as Hogan, Sting, Terminator, Angle, etc all had the preorder code printed on the receipt.

I've never pre-ordered a WWE game, usually bought it some time after release but I've always had the pre-order codes slip inside the box.
