I really loved One Night Stand 2005. It brought back so many memories of the original ECW. It was such a great show. At the time, I was hoping they would bring back ECW as the 3rd brand. I really liked One Night Stand 2006. It made me anticipate what WWECW was going to be. I was hoping for the return of the ECW Television Championship Title Belt, the ECW Tag Team Championship Title Belts, and the creation of the rumored ECW Vixens Championship Title Belt. Oh well. I'll give em credit on ONS 05 as it did feel like an original ECW show. It should've been here in Philly at the Arena but besides that it was good.
06 was terrible IMO. The WWE Title as the main event? Big slap in the face to original fans.
If One Night Stand 2005 was here in Philadelphia, I would have been there for sure!! As far as One Night Stand 2006 goes, prior to the event, Paul Heyman mentioned that if Rob Van Dam or Sabu won in their Championship Title matches, they would also become ECW Champion. I was really hoping that both of Bill Alfonso’s Stars won the WWE and World Championship Titles. Then a unification match could have taken place to crown the new ECW Champion, with Fonzie as the special guest referee. Of course there would have been 2 tournaments to crown a new Spinner Belt Champion and a new Big Gold Belt Champion, but that’s for another topic.

Just having Cena in the main event of a supposed ''ECW'' show left a bad taste in my mouth. You think NY was harsh on him? imagine if it was in front of the Philly faithful!

Honestly? Every Pay-Per-View. Even watch ECW TV episodes, if you wanna get fully invested into the storylines and whatnot.

Heatwave 1998 is my favorite ECW PPV. From top to bottom, really good show.

I remember them running a show there right after launch but I had no interest in going as I knew it wasn't going to be the same. A fan almost got attacked? Not surprised there.

Yes because he was wearing a Cena shirt. This was the height of the Cena hatred from smart fans(and even casual ones)

Unless it was in the parking lot in front of the arena.

Would have been awesome to be a part of and experience at the time though I can imagine. Glad there's such a big fan base on here. I honestly never knew it was so popular.

McBlake I started watching some of the old ECW ppvs towards the end of 2015 and just fell in love with the crap. I haven’t watched as much as I would like to but I love it. I actually bought an ECW shirt and have been getting it signed by every ECW original I meet just cause i can’t get enough of the crap. I love talking to the guys that lived it about ECW too. Every one that I’ve been able to talk to about it has just lit up when I told them I was into it. I think partially cause of what it was and cause I’m only 16 so a lot of the guys probably think “wow this kid is into the crazy crap we did 20 years ago. We must’ve done something right” it’s just great. Especially Mikey whipwreck, Shane Douglas and Jerry Lynn. I had a good conversation with all of those guys about ECW when I met them. That's genuinely one of the best things I've ever read on here. Awesome story. Maybe one day with enough time I'd have a similar experience. I hope you meet everyone you want and get that shirt full of signatures. Obviously so dedicated, and I'm sure they'd love to hear how you fell in love with the company too.
