If a store wants an exclusive line they should be contractually obligated to stock it as soon as it comes out. In EVERY store. And if they don't, their exclusives should be shipped to other stores that can. But they do stock them. Here’s the catch though. The NXT line of elites just like the hall of fame series, have the same item numbers. So the employees stock the shelves with say item WXYZ. Their inventory shows they have ten WXYZ figures. But they fail to differentiate that said item number has different items corresponding to that item. It old stock isn’t moving they won’t restock with “new” items because they think they are the same items. I feel that the system worked better when stores had ONE exclusive. Take Rocky Maivia for instance. One exclusive at a time. It comes and goes and then they order new items to stock.

Same upc...well then, I don't know, don't do that. Say HOC 2 is ready. Mattel ships it out. every target needs to stock it. Clearance old stock and put up the stuff you are literally begging them to give you. Just no excuse not to. I see crap get clearanced all the time, but wwe stuff doesn't seem to, at least not in central VA. Tito for instance should be 99 cents by now. Still full price.

I’m pretty sure there’s at least two in every Target toy isle in the country. Mine actually had 5 as of yesterday. I agree with what your saying 100%. A new set should have new item numbers or at least some identifier to let staff know to restock the shelves. What’s interesting about NxT basic series 3 is that it didn’t roll out with NxT elite series 3. Assuming they were intended to be released together, why one made it to shelves and the other didn’t is quite confusing. And from what Bill said it’s not a matter of Target not stocking them, but whether that lineup will see the light of day at all.

We know these stores are paying to get these exclusives. Then they barely stock them until a year later, if at all ( none of my wal marts got tnf elite series 3) and they put such small quantities online, if any. It's like they care more about keeping other stores from making money than they do about making their own.

The Targets around me usually did a good job of stocking this line and I’m all for new facea showing up more regularly so I guess that’s why I like it so much.

What hurt the line was them overstocking series 1, I think I only seen series 2 at 2 stores lucked out and got the only Rezar I ever seen, and putting diy with even more series 1 was the worst decision they could of made with series 2 being so scarce in shipments.

Best move would be to kill the basic line and replace it with more retro figure line's just to get more of a build up for the series and roster they both are at the same price point. and I would rather purchase a retro over a articulation less basic

I have never understood it. Target is great about clearing stuff out too. It seems like they go from 50% off to 90 in a matter of a week or two. They want that crap GONE baby gone....but not WWE figures. I think I've seen WWE figures go on clearance two or three times since the Mattel line started.

Marvel legends rarely get clearanced too.

Unless Mattel exists to please you and you alone.
