They said on ESPN that they sold 200 ticket plans since Donnovan was announced as the head coach in Orlando.
It would be HILLARIOUS if the Magic don't let him out of his deal.

Donovan is an ass hole.
Be a man and make a decision and stick with it. This is not picking a date for the high school prom.
If the Magic let him out and Florida lets him back he's making a mockery of everyone involved. Ridiculous.

Yah Donovan is a douche, he was gonna be a piss poor NBA coach anyways, but hes not gonna be fantastic @ Florida anymore either.

Better change your name to "I WUV YOU BILLY" Amac If Billy does return to UF it would be bittersweet because although I want him back here it sucks to know that he did try and leave.

I think this makes him look like a giant ing loser. He's never gonna get this much love from the NBA and he wont have a great year at Florida. Hes just a ****, at least Pitino and Calipari tried it.

I agree with my main man Ralpho. He's a dumbass. You're an adult, learn how to make a decision. Honestly, I hope he fails miserably wherever he goes. If I was UF, I wouldn't want him back.

This doesnt surprise me at all, but it kinda reminds me of the situtation that UNC was in after 2005. The whole team was pretty much gone & they had to rebuild. It should be interesting to see how they rebound

Donovan really is a chicken crap, like most of you said. He's a grown adult who's capable of making a decision. If he really needed more time, I'm sure the Magic would have given it to him rather than have to go through this whole deal.
The Magic really have their hands tied. The way I see it, they can't keep him under contract because his players will have NO respect for him now that they're fully aware that he doesn't want to be there. This entire situation is just absurd and unfair to Orlando.
If they let him out of his contract, they're talking about fining him or something. I say, what's the point? Florida University would just wind up paying it anyway. If anything, take him to court to at least embarass him and send a message to the fans.

He is just a giant cock, the Florida fans are gonna blow him too now. The hatred towards him for leaving was a joke, the man can not accomplish anymore at Florida, he is never gonna be as valuable as he is now, people bitching cuz he wants to further his career and his financial situation are stupid.
Good luck failing next year Billy boy

From Gatorzone.com:
Gainesville, FL "I have had and will continue to have the highest respect for the Orlando Magic, its organization, and its ownership. I realized in less than 24 hours after signing a contract with the Magic that I had made a mistake that had nothing to do with the Magic. Instead, I realized that, in my heart, I belonged in college basketball. As soon as I realized that, I contacted the Magic immediately to let them know. I have enormous respect for the Magic – including the DeVos family, the management, the team and the fans. In these circumstances, it would have been entirely unfair to the Magic and their fans to have continued on. Although this has been a difficult time for everyone, for which I am profoundly sorry, in my heart I know that this is the right thing for the Magic and for me. It’s my admiration for the whole Magic organization that led me to this course of action. I believe that the Magic has a great future ahead of them, and I wish them all the best."

I can't blame him for going with what he wanted to do. People screw up all the time. He thought he wanted to do something...but in the end he felt he wanted something else. He's human. It happens to all of us.
