Just a thought I’ve been entertaining to help create more space and get rid of books to help complete my Mattel/Hasbro collection. Not sure I’d do it though. Thoughts?

Are you trading your comics for other people’s figures?
I’d say do it. As long as the value of what is being traded is equal or in your favour then why not.

If you can get fair value, sure. But you may get a better return selling the comics and using the funds to but the figures you need.
You may have trouble finding trading partners who both have what you want and want what you have.

Only problem I could see with trading comics is assigning a value. As a comic book collector I know that a lot of the value comes from the condition of the comic and people can vary widely over what is mint, good, fair, or ready to be recycled. Unless you're going to get them professionally graded and sealed in plastic you could end up with a disgruntled trade partner if their idea of the comic's condition is different from yours.

Selling comics flat out is a hassle. Unless they’re key issues, you never really at least get your money back and break even. Richius is correct. Everyones opinion on condition varies unfortunately. I know what I have condition wise and I’ve collected for more than 20 years so I’d say I know my stuff but there’s always someone ready to question you on it.

I wouldn't, personally. But like others here have said, it has to be your decision. If you want to do it, you do it brother.

I sold off my comic collection when I got into Jakks figures. They were simply taking up space and I wasn't reading them, so no need to keep them around. That being said, know that you're going to get hosed when it comes to selling them. You will NOT get what you put into them back out of them.

I’ll give you a Tito Santana for an amazing fantasy 15. Elite 39 Sid for an issue of action comics 1 And a DM ultimate maniacs warrior for an amazing Spider-Man 300. I’m just in with you man. I’d say if you can find somebody that wants to do it do it. Just don’t expect any deals like I just said. Lol

I don't read comics. So I'd definitely trade comics for figures, if I had an overstock of comics.
