Just out of curiosity, anyone here...do other things? I feel like it's taboo to sometimes talk about what you like aside from wrestling when amongst wrestling fans (especially amongst WWE hardcore fans, even some wrestlers and employees that I've seen and known) so it's challenging to really be open about how much is too much. But for me, this pretty much looks like it would set up a hardcore WWE fan to do pretty much nothing else with their time and to fully indulge? Not so bad for them, extremely challenging for the rest of us. I'm curious to find out who balances their time and in what way with where the product currently stands (which for me is already way too involved so I am mostly disconnected). I've started to skip a lot of RAW's and Smackdown's, and even PPV's. Watching any of it live these days just seems like a daunting task. I've been DVRing RAW and Smackdown, then fast forwarding through it the next day and just skipping any of the stuff that doesn't appeal to me. Same thing with PPV's, I'll skip them live, and then the next day I'll just pull up the show and fish around for the matches I want to see or if people on here gave something particularly good reviews. Last Monday I watched the X-Files marathon on BBC America instead of RAW. Last night I watched the Yankees instead of RAW. Tonight I plan on watching the two episodes of X-Files on channel 9 instead of Smackdown. I'm really just not feeling it lately. I don't know what it is. I don't think making the shows longer is going to help, though.

I don't think making the shows longer is going to help, though. I have been doing the same. The quality of the tv shows has been so poor that I feel that I can devote that 2-3 hours to something more enjoyable like playing a video game, watching a movie, or really watching anything that isn't mediocre to bad really. The only reason I watch PPV live at all right now is because I have a few friends who come over to watch them so it's just an excuse to get together honestly. The last few months it has been a struggle to even just watch the highlights on wwe.com. The last thing I want is more wrestling from the WWE. I am already starting to think I should start watching NJPW instead of still wasting my time hoping that it will get better. Because after that check Fox just wrote Vince, things are not getting better any time soon, or ever. Just more watered down, milquetoast, vanilla, sanitary, safe, and borderline boring sports entertainment. You really can't call it wrestling anymore.

Watching WWE takes up more hours than a full time job.
Back when I was a kid we had 2 hours of Raw and 1 PPV a month and that was quite enough to digest as a wrestling fan. You even enjoyed WWE more then and looked forward to it weekly.

There is so much talent that won't make the 3 hour cards so for that reason it is a good thing.

If they start at 7 and end at 11 that's fine. Still a bit overkill but eh

Making the shows longer was bound to happen with the dual branded PPVs. Personally, I'm just relieved they are starting the shows an hour early as opposed to going an hour later.
I will say, there is NO reason to continue with the hour long pre-show. Cut out the matches and just make it a highlight video after highlight video to hype the matches and to fill in for fans what they may have missed.

People saying 4 hours is too much, when we were getting 2 3 hour PPVs a month, simple maths. we're getting less than we did last year. Chill....

i dont mind this...but then all the need to do is make sure if they are starting the shows at 7, then end at 11 or a little before like they used to
this crap of starting the main event at 11:10 is ridiculous.
personally i wish they would just move the start time to 6PM for the actual show, then if you're going to run over at least its only at 10. but that wont happen im sure for a lot of reasons....so you want to give me a 4 hour show, make it 4 hours not 4:25 or 4:30

If I go to summerslam that show may be over 4 hours. If that's the case and they put another Reigns vs Lesnar match last, I should leave before that. I'm afraid that will be the main event of summerslam.

I personally rarely watch RAW, SD or even PPVs unless I'm watching them with friends or family tbh. It's too rare nowadays for me to find time to watch an entire show of WWE on my own lol.
Not really a knock on the product, but I'm just too with priorities and enjoying life, plus the product is trash most of the times... 🤕🤣

This would be great news... if the creative booking wasn’t completely awful.

Not really lol. I work nights, so when I get home in the mornings (about 6AM) I watch Raw and SDL from my DVR. On my weekends I catch up on NXT, 205, and when in season Lucha Underground. Aside from wrestling I pretty much watch sports, and that's largely it unless something special is planned for a day or weekend. As far as PPV's go, if I take the night off work to watch it, then I really don't care how long they are. If I work and have to watch in the morning, then maybe depending on the card I may look at results and pick out what I want to watch, instead of going to asleep after 10AM. With 3 hour PPV's going to sleep after 9AM isn't terrible, but an extra hour would make a different when I wake up later in the day.

I expected this was they all became co-branded, I’m fine as long as they start an hour earlier. I wake up too early to be up an hour later watching a PPV.

in 1998, if all wrestling ppvs were going 4 hours i’d think it would risk overkilling it and having excessive content. in 2018, while wwe’s popularity diminishes, it’s frankly an absurd move from my perspective. must make business sense for them to do it though. Um, it's more popular than ever lol

They want crowds leaving during Roman matches to be a trend.

I've been getting into podcasts pretty heavy these days. I'm also playing the crap out of my PS4 and Switch.

That's what you get for wanting co-branded PPV's
