Hey Guys
I know this has probably been put up here so often as it was during the Jakks line but do you think Mattel ever approached his family about the possibility of making figures of Owen?
I know in the past his wife said she would not want anything to do with WWE after his death, but that was note such a long time ago.
Fans of his have never gone away from wanting figures of him.
Will it ever happen?

As far as I know, nothing has changed. His wife doesn't want WWE to profit off of Owen, which is why he's not in video games, figures, etc. I seem to remember there even being a big issue with the DVD they put out a few years ago.
I don't think it's ever going to happen.

I don't think it's ever going to happen. Martha will die eventually. The rest of the Hart family isn't as irrational and based on what Bret has said, they all want to see Owen have his legacy honored, not hidden.

She could easily live another 40 years, and there's no saying that her children will look at the situation any differently than she does. By the time Martha dies, WWE may have gone bust. Even if it hasn't, people will have long moved on from remembering Owen after she's spent decades burying his legacy, sadly.

We have to teach our kids about Owen, and they'll teach their kids, etc.

I'd really want an Owen Hart figure too, but it's really slim that we'll get one anytime soon. Unless if Martha says it's okay for WWE to produce Owen Hart memorabilia, there won't be anything produced of Owen Hart. I really hope we do get an Owen Hart figure at some point in the future

It would be cool, but It’s not gonna happen man. Martha hart will live several more decades. Maybe she will change her mind but that could be a very long time. Maybe when Vince dies she might be more willing to talk.

Well she just lost a case against the wwe using their video library of him on the wwe Network within the last year or two...so I would guess her feeling haven’t changed

She sounds like a total bitch. Yea she lost her husband under the most horrible circumstances BUT would Owen really not want his legacy embraced by WWE and the fans? My only idea about why she is so bitter is the court case surrounding his death must have gotten really nasty and we dont know the full details of what exactly went on and what was said.

Martha would only agree to it if she gets 100% of the proceeds

We will never get an Owen Hart figure. It would have happened already.

Thanks for all the comments guys did not know about the case taken by Martha against WWE Network video of Owen she is defo not changing her mind anytime soon. It is such a shame as he was one of the best. Its crazy that Owen died tragically doing what he loved and she is going all out to destroy his legacy because of it. Or the above is harsh. She lost her husband/father of their kids no doubt it was tough

Best option is customs. At least I'm only into Hasbros/Retros and there's a few pros out there that do wonderful Owens.

Saw one on this forum with I think a Zack Ryder head hair changed and it was unreal and was an elite figure. Some very talented people out there for sure. Anyone that would like to make a custom PM me

I always wondered if WWE approached Martha and was like, "listen, the fans still love Owen some 20 years later. We would love to do an "Owen" line of merchandise with all the proceeds going into a fund for his children and grandchildren. We don't want to profit from this, but we want Owen to have his rightful place in the annals of history" and see what his family says to that...

That would be the way to do it but WWE and MATTEL are greedy so will never happen.

Every time Ive ever seen pictures of Owens family, his kids always look like they're being brain washed & held hostage by their mother.

He was supposed to be the defining moments figure that got cancelled a few years ago and it kinda makes sense now with all the chase slammy awards that was put into the basic line after that happened

He’s been off limited since before Mattel even had the license. So why would Bill have his team waste time and money on a figure he knew since day one they couldn’t make? That makes no sense. Has Bill ever publicly stated that Owen was the canceled figure? Because I don’t recall that.
