Finishers that never beat anybody such as the Lionsault (only time I can think of is the pseudo WWF title win against Hunter in 2000), the Worm (I know it was a comedy move and really should never have won a match but it was still a finishing move), Benoit's headbutt.
Can you think of any?

Was The Ho Train The Godfather's finisher? I don't remember it winning matches.

Can you think of any? I think these moves were more signature moves rather than finishers. I’d say Jericho’s finisher was the Walls of Jericho and Benoit’s was the Crippler Crossface. Too Cool tended to finish their matches with a top rope leg drop from Christopher,if memory serves me correctly.

I swear the WORM did beat someone once, I can't remember who but I think it was on Heat - Essa Rios? Kaientai? I remember being shocked by it.

The fact that Jericho and Benoit had primarily submission finishing maneuvers makes me say that the two moves mentioned were their back up finishes in instances where they won matches against people who may have been too high up on the card to tap. Benoit sometimes finished matches via pinfall with a bridged german and Y2J has had a few non submission finishers over the years like the Breakdown (2001-2002) step up enziguri (2004) and of course the Codebreaker since 2007.

Benoit used to beat wrestlers in WCW with the flying headbutt.

undertaker’s chokeslam, although it did sometimes serve as a finish.

The reason it's called a finisher is because the wrestler has beaten at least one person with it. But I'll throw this out there, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, Mike Sharpe probably never got a televised victory after 1986ish with his forearm finisher.

Tito Santana’s flying forearm never seemed to be that effective. People tended to get hit with it and roll out the ring (apart from jobbers). Also Valentines figure four was a finisher that never seemed to get the job done

Also Valentines figure four was a finisher that never seemed to get the job done I’ve seen Santana pin The Warlord and Harley Race with the flying forearm and a few others too. It was treated with the same deadliness as the DDT, like a knock out move, he didn’t even hook the leg! After he became El Matador though, I noticed it became ineffective and wasn’t even acknowledged by the commentators as he had a new finisher by then. Have never seen Valentine win with the figure four. In fact the only time I seen him get a submission from a ‘superstar’ was Blue Blazer at Survivor Series ‘88. Actually, the pins I mentioned above were in Survivor Series matches too......’90 & ‘88 respectively. Hmm...... 🤔

How many matches did Flair win with the Figure 4? I can't recall many... If any...
