Want some advice please guys.
Is the “Hollywood Rules” RSC Hogan the best nWo version we are ever likely to see of him?
Or is it likely that Mattel will make a better/different version of him?
It’s arguably him at his nWo peak.
Of course, when he resigns with WWE Mattel will have to give us more of him. But will any nWo figure top that RSC?
In the past, have Mattel gone and made a figure in a similar attire as that released in a RSC? Like would they make an elite version similar to that figure with maybe a different headscan and minus the shirt?
I bought the Nash RSC but didn’t like the headscan and ended up swapping heads with the Mattel version of him in the nWo shirt. If there’s something I don’t like about the RSC Hogan its the head too.

The figure you speak of is not a mattel figure, it's made by storm collectibles. It is a very good looking figure and is very close to the same scale as a mattel. It blends in nicely with the mattel figures on a shelf or display. It is not a good figure if you plan to play with it mostly because of the wierd crotch piece.

The Nash figure is a Mattel figure. The Hogan is a Storm Collectibles figure. Until he signs with WWE we won’t get any Mattel figures of him. The one they were going to make was the same parts as the Target Hall of Fame one from WM9. They just added boas, sunglasses, and changed deco. Many people have made customs using that as a base.

If you plan on playing with it, then I suspect the inevitable Mattel Elite will be your best bet. If you just plan on posing and displaying him, then I'd go with the Storm Collectibles version as Mattel is quite a bit behind when it comes to contemporary articulation for the most part.

I hope we get a Hollywood figure sooner rather than later.
I'm sure once Mattel gets a green light on Hogan, Mattel will rush to get the figures out.

The closest thing they've done to the Storm Collectibles is the DM which was never released. In all honesty, I don't see Mattel topping Storm's version. The Storm Collectible had a higher budget since it was more expensive, the cloth shirt, feather boa's butterfly joints, stand, and all the other accessories. The attention to the glossed boots were a cool detail as well. There's some stuff I don't like about the storm collectible, but imo it would be the better figure although I never bought it because I'd want a Mattel version to fit in my collection. The Mattel one on the other hand was sort of a mash up of stuff he wore, I believe from like '96-'97. The torso choice was horrible and they should of, at the very least made a unique flabby torso instead of giving him the Sheamus torso. I think if I'm not mistaken there was a proto of a new Hogan made too for that figure shown somewhere. Hopefully, if he does sign Mattel could take a lesson or two and upgrade their Hogan. That Sheamus torso has no business on Flair or Hogan...

Hmm ... from what you guys are saying I may wait for Mattel to make an elite nWo version of him because I do plan on playing with the figure rather than just displaying him. It’s a damn fine figure though.

Here's the RSC/Storm one: And here's the Mattel prototype from a few years ago (unreleased): I do not agree that it is the same as the HOF figure - the boots are different, smile is different, and there's not enough to tell if it's the same scan or not. The HOF scan looks too friendly to be NWO Hogan: I would snag the RSC/Storm one now in case production were to stop in the future. There have been rumors that Hogan has been in talks with WWE again, but this has been going on for a couple years now. Who knows if we'll ever see that Mattel version or a different Mattel version of NWO Hogan.

I say get the Storm Collectibles versions, cuz you can get them in a week's time. You might be waiting a VERY LONG TIME if at all for Mattel version.

The Hollywood scan is absolutely not the same as the HOF scan. We've already seen unreleased proto type head of it confirming this.

I have not seen that head, but I do know once people swap boots and calves and paint the beard it looks just like the figure shown

Nirvo is correct, the smile (HOF) head is shown in the render which I’m assuming was just a placeholder but the test shot that was shown a while back had a closed mouth and beard stubble. I would post a picture but I don’t want to get a slap on the hand for it lol

Get the rsc one. If Mattel makes one, get that too. If any 1 figure deserves multiple takes, it's Hollywood freaking Hogan.

I don’t think there’s anything Mattel could do within their budget to ever top either of the Storm figures. Only thing we’d get with Mattel is an authentic nWo logo instead of hWo.
