Hi there, I’ve had no experience in customising anything so forgive me for asking what’s probably a basic question.
I have some old “penny” versions of the Tag Team Championships that I want to paint to look like the current RAW and SmackDown titles, what paint do I use?
Sorry for asking such a simple question, I just don’t wanna go out and buy a certain paint only for it to crack or smudge etc.

Citadel paints will go on smooth and will have minimal cracking.

I use Citadel for all my customs, it's great stuff.
Having said that I'm trying out some Revell glossy acrylics for my next custom and so far so good.

Fan of Tamiya paints here. Always gave a good even coverage.

Would those paints eventually chip away off the titles?
Should a gloss sealant be used on top?

Tamiya paints aren't beginner friendly, but they're more durable than Citadel, etc. Testors acrylic is a good choice. Testors enamels are even more durable, but you have to make sure they don't get tacky on the material the belts are made of.
Paint is going to rub off no matter what if you're going to be playing with them, etc. Sealer is only good for protecting them from everyday handling, it's not bulletproof.

Hey question on citadel paints. I see they have diff types. Like Shade and layer and technical. Whats the difference.
Im also looking for a good brown for hair color and a yellow that would match a realistic hair color, like lex lugers hair.
What size brushes are best to use to paint on a face for eyes and eyebrows.

I wouldn't do that if I were you. I don't think Mattel will be making and releasing the Penny Tag Team Championship Title Belts again. You'd be better off buying figures that come with the current versions. I'm sure the red and blue straps will be included with future figures.
This reminds me of when this guy on YouTube painted his left handed Infinity Gauntlet with the Ironman color scheme. A few months later, Marvel and Hasbro unveil the right handed Nano / Power Gauntlet.

On the Games Workshop (Citadel) website, there are tutorials which cover the types of paints (base, layer, dry, etc.). For everyday painting, I spray a dust coat with a white primer (flat), then paint with Citadel layer paint. You'll go through a lot of spray, but its inexpensive compared to the Citadels. I also buy resealable paint cups from the dollar store and mix the yellows, browns, whites, etc. to make the hair color I want. Then, you're able to store the color and touch up the paint without having to remix. I do find a lot of people who want straight out of the tub colors, but mixing is a better idea to get a more approximate color to what you're looking for. Trial and error, as well as mixing a small batch at first is key. Lastly, for the eyes and eyebrows, I use a 10/0 sized brush. It takes time to get used to it, but really works well with small details.

Im just looking to touch up some hair and body parts and paint the edges of curb stomp custom decals.. do you have a list of your most used colors for hair and skin? All the names are weird im just looking for like a black, brownn white, blue, yellow ect.
