I thought it was a great night of fights despite a few of my picks lost. Manny was my pick from the start of the season to win and if he didn't blow out his shoulder, he would've won that fight for sure. He dominated the first round and he would've eventually took Diaz out. No question about it. Actually, there are a lot of questions about that. All Manny does is bury his head into someone's chest and throw short punches. His fight with Joe Lauzon was awful. They both should have been stood up several times due to Manny just not even trying to work at all. I'd personally be happy not having to see Manny in the UFC again.

I think Nate would have won the fight with out the injury to Manny because the fight was similar to his fight with Gray and I think sometime in the three rounds he would have caught Manny and made him tap.

I thought it was a great night of fights despite a few of my picks lost. Manny was my pick from the start of the season to win and if he didn't blow out his shoulder, he would've won that fight for sure. He dominated the first round and he would've eventually took Diaz out. No question about it. I hope Manny gets a contract anyway. He deserves one and another chance at Diaz. And how about that no contest?? That fight was very controversial to say the least. I mean, it was over when Rob tapped. Gray being knocked out after the tap shouldn't have mattered. It was after the fact, so in my opinion, Gray won that fight regardless if he was knocked out or not, which I think he was. I'm not denying that at all. The tap came first and you can clearly see referee Steve Mazzagatti wave off the fight due to Rob's tapping, not because Gray is out. The referee is looking at Rob the whole time and waving it off. Gray got ripped off in that fight for sure. Woah woah woah. First of all, Manny cheated Joe Lauzon out of being in the Finale. He took him down, and pulled the lay n' prey card during their entire fight. Go back and watch it again. He lays on Joe, and you can count the punches he throws on your hand and feet while being on top for 3 rounds. The only thing Manny did good during that fight (besides sleep on Joe) was guardinf his neck during Joe's choke attempts. I highly doubt Manny would've beaten Nate. The only way I see it going down was Manny laying on him to get a decision. Even then, though, Nate is a BJJ specialist. He came to the ring with his purple belt, and in my opinion he would have caught Manny is a submission before they hi the 3rd round. I won't disagree with Manny getting a contract, as I think he will get one. I was hoping Nate would win, but I have to say I wasn't happy with how it happened. As far as Emerson tapping out ending the fight? I disagree. Sure, Emerson tapped out about 1.4 seconds after the take down. But that's my point. After the take down. Gray, on impact, was knocked out when he DDT'ed himself with the slam. It should have been done right then and there. But since that's not the way it went, I have to say Steve Mazzagatti handled it perfectly.

Apparently it was the Athletic Commission that instructed Mazzagatti to rule it a no contest.
That makes the ending make a LOT more sense.

BJ is baaaaaaaaaack. As mentioned in another post I'm not a huge BJ fan which me & Kliquid have discussed at lenght, however I will say that BJ looked great here against Jens. If BJ would have come in with this level of fitness against Hughes & GSP I've little doubt that Penn would now be the Welter Champion. I was surprised though that BJ is jumping back up in weight as for me he looked great, yeah he wants revenge for his last two losses, however taking the strap from Sherk & then defending against several decent fighters would be just as impressive in my eyes. Gutted at how the TUF5 Final ended but in my eyes the better fighter won, Nate Diaz has looked class throughout, hopefully now we'll get the fight I was hoping for as the final in the first place, Nate vs. Lauzon I was pleased the Warrior Wang got put down again, I love how he talks so tough & has legit grappling skills but then forgets to use them whenever the bell sounds! Maynard vs. Emmerson, WTF! I agree with the ending being made a N/C which I always thought should have been the ending to first Matt Huges/ Carlos Newton fight. Bring on TUF6, Matt Hughes & Matt Serra are going to be funny as f**k.

Dana had an interview on ESPN and said BJ in the title picture for Sherk's title and may get a shot at who ever wins at Stacked, or atleast he will be in the discussion of the next challenger.

Well the first fight doesn't exactly show that did it & if Penn would have had any sort of cardio in the rematch he'd have won as he was freaking owning Hughes until he gassed.

BJ Penn whooped his ass in the first fight and DID knock him out in the second fight. Hughes claimed it was a thumb to the eye that caught him, but if you watch, it was clearly a punch to the orbital bone and Hughes was out on his feet. Matt Hughes is an amazing fighter and he went on to destroy Penn in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, but to just say that Hughes is so much better than Penn is ridiculous. If Penn gets in better shape for that fight, like he was for this last fight, he ends it in round one. No questions asked. Why do you think Jens Pulver is leaving the Miletich camp that Hughes is a part of to go join BJ? Because he realized that BJ Penn is an amazing fighter and that he will get better training with Penn.

I am not taking anything away from Penn, but I think Hughes Is better. And Matt's a good guy on top of It all, plus Matt will actually give you an interview after his fights are over. Both guys are great, but I think Hughes > Penn .....

Matt Hughes is nowhere near the fighter that BJ Penn is. They're not even in the same realm. And Matt Hughes is a nice guy? He's one of the biggest dicks in MMA, haha.

Clearly you don't know about Matt Hughes' out-of-the-cage attitude. The guy is a ing dickhead. BJ Penn loves his fans. If you want to cheer for a "nice guy," cheer for Penn. Just because he didn't want to do a post-fight interview doesn't mean he's not a good guy.

Yeah, I've heard that Kos is a jerk.

The guy is a prick.

Matt Serra said it best.
"Matt Hughes is a dick. He's a talented dick, but still a dick."
