Only reason I caved was the TRU sales. If it wasnât 50% off I would have never bought one. Curious to see if any retailer is going to pick these up moving forward. That was my plan too but they were sold off here before that. So I still have yet to bite the bullet and wonât unless I find it cheap.

No offence intended but to add a first time figure to a ring that costs $100 seems like a moronic thing to do by Mattel. They should add figures that don't sell, not a figure that would sell really well on it's own. It's just idiotic No, it's actually VERY smart of them to sell the ring with Goldberg. The moronic part is the design of the ring and heavily relying on the figure of Goldberg to sell the ring. It should have been the other way around. If im gonna spend $100 of my hard earned money, I better feel justified I'm spending the money on a damn good ring with a bonus figure, not feel like I'm spending $100 on a Goldberg figure.

I was hoping to run into this ring during the TRU sale. They're cleaned out by now.

It's just idiotic With respect, I think it's the opposite - they put a highly requested/first-time figure with the ring as an incentive for people to buy the ring... there are a lot of people who don't actually want the ring, but will buy it because they want the figure.

How would using figures that âdonât sellâ help sell a $100 ring exactly?

It'd help clear figures that don't sell So... the expensive ring is made even more expensive by adding random figures that were somehow returned to Mattel because people didnât buy them, and somehow it all becomes a more attractive package than this ring with Goldberg? I donât think you thought this one through very well.

Therefore it could be in fact cheaper. So yeah, I have

I donât think you thought this one through very well. It wouldn't be as expensive as it wouldn't contain a brand new, freshly tooled, first time in the line elite figure. Therefore it could be in fact cheaper. âHey guys, how are we gonna sell these old Daniel Bryan and Adam Rose elites that nobody wanted and have been magically returned to us instead of clearanced at the stores?â âLetâs add a big light-up ring to them and charge $90!â âWait, the Main Event Ring that we need to be a big attractive item and package with a highly-anticipated figure?â âYes! But we donât need it to be that! We just need it to somehow magically sell these old Daniel Bryan and Adam Rose elites that have been magically returned to us instead of being clearanced at the stores! If we put it with a figure nobody wants and make it $5 cheaper than it would be with a figure that people want, it will magically be very smart and profitable!â False.

I can see Mattel's thought process for the Goldberg ring, now for the Mahal ring... even as a big fan of Jinder, i will not purchase a ring for him

Many trash it but the ring is great; I think it's my favorite and I've had all the scale rings thru the years. The Goldberg fig is great as well

It feels better, overall scale-wise, having fig matches for me when compared to the last few WCT rings which always feel slightly oversized.
