Incredible mail day. Just got this piece in today. It's a WWF Wrestling Superstars LJN George "The Animal" Steele Bendies Hand Painted Prototype. A little back story. This piece was sold on eBay a few years ago by a woman who also had a handful of Unreleased WWF LJN Bendies which included Terry Funk, Bruno Sammartino, Tito Santana & Don Muraco. She never grasped what she had in her possession and ended up selling all of those for mere peanuts with a bad listing title. Her husband worked for LJN and these were among some of the pieces that he had kept over the course of 30 years.
This piece was found in a bucket of sprinkler parts, hence why it is beat up a little. This figure was shown in the JCPenney Christmas Catalog from 1986. It does differ quite a bit from the version that was actually released too. Happy to add it to my display.
