If this leads to bigger things I’m down with this. It’ll be good for Itami and it’ll be good for WWE having a WWE name in Japan. Now I’ll just patiently wait for the NXT vs NOAH show

Read this as Hideo’s release and non-compete with NJPW for the foreseeable future.
Not to be cynical.

This is kinda crazy. I love how Triple H is willing to work with other promotions. I really wish we could have seen the conversation between him an Vince.
Vince used to let guys go to Japan back in the 80s. It wasn't until around after Wrestlemania III I wanna say is when Vince stopped allowing talent to wrestle in Japan.

Yeah I know but that was long before the days of cable and internet. Things changed a lot. I'm just curious to see how he was convinced to change them back.

Well this just came out of left field.
While I was working at the WWE international media day WM34 week, I can't help but remember how low Itami's confidence seemed. He was clearly bothered at the fact that other Japanese stars that came after him (Auska, Nakamura) have had more success in even less time. It was border line awkward and sad to hear. But when he moved over to the Japanese media table, he seemed to be having the time of his life. It would not shock me if he's excited for this. I loved his work in NOAH with Marufuji.

I don't really watch 205live but Itami has spent most of his WWE career injured or not being used, its not like their missing out by loaning him out.
