Okada was too at one point. Interesting though, seeing them have Nakamura, when he was IWGP Champion, and they put him on an Xplosion match.

Decisions like that explain the downfall of TNA Between the talent they had, before they got to their best (Okada and Punk come to mind), to talent they had, that they just let leave, like Joe, AJ and Roode, it's amazing how they keep putting along

They also had Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tiger Mask IV, Tetsuya Naito and Yujiro Takahashi. Now those guys along with Okada made New Japan a hot property. Sometimes the next big thing can be right in front of you and you wont realize it.

This is a bit unfair. As I recall the partnership with NJPW was supposed to showcase some of their talents for short periods of time. Okada was just a young lion and didn't have a fraction of the charisma or ability that he has now. No Limit and Tiger Mask IV didn't really wow crowds much. IMPACT botched big time with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Jushin Liger though.

I had high hopes for him when hogan and bischoff initially showed up, as they advertised Daniel’s return and were only referring to him as his last name - which seemed to suggest a bigger direction for him. but it all crashed down. at least we got that iron man match with aj.

If theres anything good about Okada's time in TNA, its that he said he learned character development from there and stole Pope DAngelo Dinero's entrance

Just look at WCW, they had Austin and Jericho who they didn't do much of anything with who moved on and became two of the biggest stars ever.

You can't really say TNA botched it with having Nakamura there. The Nakamura I just watched in that video and the one we see weekly on WWE TV are two very different people. He had like zero charisma in this video, and now he is full of that and then some!

He had like zero charisma in this video, and now he is full of that and then some! You could make that argument for pretty much everyone mentioned that was in TNA for a short time during the relationship. TNA wasn't going to make any of them the wrestlers they are now. Now i disagreed with Okada being made a goof at the end of his excursion, but i read interviews of him saying he learned charisma in TNA and used it for his Rainmaker character. A lot of these guys that came from NJPW were there simply to add some International flavor to the X Division and TNA roster.
