The only thing that could make this better would be seeing a rhythm & blues Greg Valentine at SDCC. That would be a disappointment. IC Champ, Dream Team, and shin guard I wanna see before R&B. I still can’t find Macho Man or Shawn Michaels ... probably gonna need help from Space Force to locate these 🇺🇸 My local gamestop has macho mans in stock however they put the giant ugly white price sticker on them, so if you are MOC they probably wouldn't do you any good. Can't wait for this HTM, I may have to buy 2 so I can open one and display him. As a MOC collector, this worried me at first, but, I bought the Retrofest Macho Man and Elite 43 Jim Neidhart from gamestop and both times the sticker peeled off easy leaving no sticker residue. |

Not necessarily, if they finally signed Hammer to a deal and made figures for him, I doubt the only one we would get would be the Rhythm and Blues version. It would just be nice to finally see a Hammer figure in the Mattel line. I bet if they signed Hammer that we would get a few figures of his, most likely the traditional look (black and yellow with shin guard) first. That would be a disappointment. I guess so. he got mad a year or so ago because we saw a ton of stuff before the actual reveal. He came on and was like "Dont get mad when you dont see any new stuff at SDCC" lol I don't understand his hostility towards the forum- is one of the members here responsible for the leaks?! Sure people posted the images or lineup info but you have a rabid fan base here that is starved for information on upcoming releases. If Mattel doesn't want stuff to leak out them they should find a way to clamp down- perhaps limit the number of people who are exposed to new lineups before they are officially announced or have a system in place that tracks who has access to lineup info so they can figure out who is doing the leaking. As for the HTM figure, it looks great except for the head which is off IMO. Anyone else find it interesting that Mattel does not want to release figures of new faces like Greg Valentine or Haku yet have no problem releasing 4 HTM figures!?! Why the heck do we need 4 Honky Tonk Man figures?! |

I bet if we ever do get Valentine it’s gonna be one and done or a very long gap in between releases. Hammer is in the Tito category where he had most of his success pre and early on in the golden era and spent most of time being a jobber to the stars during the height of the era. And he doesn’t really have flashy attire other than a robe to make the figure more appealing. |

I won't buy it but it's a nice figure. Can't believe they did a second one of him and didn't put the belt on again haha. Feels like a figure more deserving of that price point.

The hostility started years ago when he left the forum for a few months over the Elite 39 thread where some people questioned his work ethic and took things too far. His responses were always short after he started posting again. As for stuff being revealed early, he replied to a thread a few months ago claiming he would no longer post on this forum or do Q&A for Ringside because they allow "leaks" to be posted, even though the "leaks" in that thread came straight from a public Amazon listing that anyone and everyone could see. Notice in the last Q&A, the other Mattel employee answered almost all of the questions. I understand it's annoying from his perspective to have things leaked or spoiled in advance, but there's a big difference between finding something on a public Amazon/Walmart listing and sharing images/info of stolen factory prototypes from China. Frequently the info is all over social media sites before being posted here, so it comes across as unnecessary collective punishment when the entire forum gets cut off because we want to discuss new info that is usually already being discussed everywhere else, even more so when the "leaks" came from a public source like Amazon. |

I echo the sentiment that while the packaging is neat, it's extremely lacking proper exposure for the figure. I thought the Macho figure was hampered by the exposure, but WOW, it is a crime that that awesome Honky Tonk jumpsuit isn't more visible. Much like the Entrance Greats box, I think it's time for a re-design. Love the idea, not the execution.
