WFWF presents:Second to NoneLIVE from The United Center in Chicago, ILThe Main Event!--------------------------------------------------- Frank Lynn vs. DrakzAt Breakout, Frank Lynn scored a hard fought victory over the tenacious and quick-rising rookie, Mesh. A post-match celebration between the two competitors, forged over a fire of hard won respect, was quickly doused by the arrival of WFWF General Manager Lila Sleater. Even an in-ring hug, it seems, was not warm enough to envelop the authoritarian's cold, black heart as she launched into what some are calling a baseless and unwarranted tirade against the validity of the International Champion's recent string of accomplishments. Suggesting that the one time revolutionary had grown complacent in his spot following the outcome of his personal vanity project of a show earlier in the year, Sleater declared that the time had come for Lynn to step up his game, positioning him in a direction that would see him taking on a caliber of offense more in tune with the bar he seems to have set for himself. First up to bat? Drakz! There's nothing to suggest that there's any love lost between Drakz and the WFWF's chief authority figure, who has spent the past several months keeping him at arm's length, denying him a contract renewal and, perhaps more abrasively, the opportunity to seek cold-served revenge upon the elusive Michael Kyzer for his singular role in shelving Drakz's storied career. While the story is still out on exactly what it was that ultimately moved Sleater's hand in inking a new deal with the record-shattering former champion, it would seem, at least for the moment, that the door has been thrown wide open for Drakz to right the wrongs that have been levied in his direction. It would seem that the internal war within the former ranks of The New Epoch that many thought had been finally laid to rest at End Time has simply turned a new page, but before he can begin work on the next chapter, the newly minted biggest return of 2018 will first need to get past the downed and kicked hornet's nest that is Frank Lynn. Will Frank Lynn be able to silence his biggest detractor and carve another notch in his self-proclaimed New Epoch bedpost, or will Drakz dot every last 'i' and cross every last 't' on his newly forged contract, violently firing the world's loudest warning shot with a victory over the reigning WFWF International Champion? This could be the spark that ignites Chicago's next great fire! The Bloodied Eagle versus The Dragon!--------------------------------------------------- Ante Whitner vs. Tugarin ZmeyBreakout saw the world-stage debut of the latest chapter in the storied, violent career of Ante Whitner. The self proclaimed "Bloodied Eagle" has reemerged a man of God, driven down a path of redemption as he seeks to atone for his past transgressions the same way he first committed so many before - within the confines of the squared circle! Though he brandishes a new-found outlook that many would agree casts a much more positive light than that with which he once strode through the ranks, Whitner showed the world that the fighting spirit that first solidified his spot among the WFWF elite has not taken a backseat to his spirituality, as he punctuated his return with an impressive win over fiery newcomer Reina Kenshin. Tugarin Zmey hasn't changed a bit. Whereas Whitner's return to the ranks of the WFWF saw the former National Champion turning over a new page in his life, the personal dragon of Michael Kyzer, in the conspicuous absence of his supreme keeper, demonstrated no deviance from the familiar brand destruction that follows in his wake. Though operating outside the confines of the bell to bell measure, Zmey still managed to make a deafening statement, steamrolling over the WFWF World Heavyweight Champion and laying him out to dry. David Brennan has long demonstrated an unwillingness to go quietly into the night, and as such, his indefinite shelving should speak volumes to the stakes of this match for Ante Whitner. The returning star is no stranger to Kyzer's ilk, having once stood alongside the dragon's handler, but standing across from the beast himself is, as it were, a whole different beast. The War Between Darkness & Light Rages On!--------------------------------------------------- Mesh vs. Chris PricelessTenacious. Perhaps no other word could better encompass the phenomenon that is WFWF's brightest shining, newest rising star, the incomparable Mesh. Through both triumphant victory and near-miss loss, this rising young talent has demonstrated an encapsulating spirit that is impossible to ignore and foolish to deny. Breakout saw the blue beacon of positivity and inclusiveness receive the seal of approval from one of the WFWF's toughest eggs to crack in International Champion Frank Lynn. Many in the industry have now begun treating the discussion of Mesh's role in the title picture as a question of not 'if' but 'when', and that alone should be cause for all talent, young and old, to afford themselves time to take pause and notice. The WFWF, of course, is full of changing variables. It's been several months since the enigmatic Chris Priceless signed his WFWF contract, but the time has come for him, as all others are afforded, to have his say on which way the page turns on the next chapter of Mesh's career. Many would call the uncertain nature of his person a decisive advantage - Mesh's circumstantial unfamiliarity with her opponent this time out defies the very teachings of Sun Tzu. Nevertheless, Priceless would be fool to rest on the foundation of such a dynamic alone. Mesh has proven numerous times over that a pall of darkness is hardly enough to douse her light, neither in victory nor defeat. As the cliche often goes - this one is anyone's game! Whitner and Kyzer weren't in the KoKaine Konspiracy.

Whitner and Kyzer weren't in the KoKaine Konspiracy. Well, f*ck me, right...let's just pretend that never said that. Anyway, here's the card. I didn't think I'd get it up 'cause my kid's ankle strain has kinda been f*cking with his sleep routines, but there it is. I'm inevitably going to be a useless, walking pile of human waste for the next week or so as I return to work tomorrow having only had a new hire to pick up my slack for a week, so don't count on much of anything out of me for the moment. I went short on the deadline to keep it to a Sunday without enacting a two week writing period 'cause after our little break here, that would have been nuts, but if anyone comes down to the wire and finds the need for a bit of flexibility, hit me up and we'll make arrangements. Usually, I consider signups to be one's personal commitment to keeping track of this place, but since we had a little time away, I'll offer up call out tags to Drakz, King Richius, Kyzer, The Gangsta, @ballparkb0b, and Kill Em' All to remind y'all that you signed up and that we're back as close to full Voltron mode as we're gonna get anytime soon. See y'all on the other side.

Good card. As far as I'm concerned, the short writing period is a non-issue since I've known my opponent for several weeks. Already have a good bit of my RP done. There will be a flame thrower involved. That's all I'm saying. Drakz has had over a year to prepare for this RP so he had better get his in on time too. As for the rest of you, expect extra leniency on extension requests seeing as you did not have the luxury of a pre-arranged match. Let's get some segments from the non-competitors too, please. Just because you don't have a match doesn't mean you can't appear on the show and help fill it out.

Whitner and Zmey should be interesting based on the Konspiracy history. Know Kyzer said Kyzer wasn't in it, but I know it was me, him as Zmey, and I can't remember if Ante was officially a member or just a recruit of sorts before the collapse, regardless there's history so that should be fun. Sorry boys, that's my most looked forward to match.

It only needed to be mentioned 'cause I absentmindedly invented the notion that Kyzer was in it. As owners, we reserve the right to revise history as suits our whims. As such, I'd like to announce that Billy Broom is now a former 4 time World Heavyweight Champion.

Sorry boys, that's my most looked forward to match. It was Zmey, DMK and you. Plus the other random people I invented to be DMK's entourage. Ante was with Kyzer but neither were associated with the KoKaine Konspiracy. Kyzer and Whitner was a separate thing because I wanted to do something with Ante.

This is going to be a good one!
I just want to say that Zmey might stand a chance against Whitner, considering he's not a little Asian boy.
That is all.

Until my co-owner puts his graphical skills to designing a proper show poster, I threw together something that should at least please one person (I'm looking at you Drakz).
