No use for butterfly joints (ditto toe hinge). I like articulation, but I also like balance. That’s a joint that distracts too much.

Can't stand butterfly shoulders or double jointed elbows on Marvel Legends so no thanks.

Face printing technology seems to very prone to paint errors which makes figures look pretty bad but when done right looks good. Buying without examining faces is likely going to leave a lot of people disappointed. Seems paint apps errors in general are more prominent now then initially in 2010/2011 😂 what the hell are you talking about OP was praising the face print technology. I’m saying it’s good when done right but when you gotta look through 10 of the same figure in store before finding one that isn’t splotched then maybe it isn’t that great.....

I hope they never give the figures butterfly joints. I hate them on ML.

I'm excited for this new line. I hope we get some legends and flashbacks and I agree, no need to change the articulation -- it's pretty good as is.

Drastic changes to figures turn more people off then turn them on. The perfect example is the overly stocked pegs of female figures after the basic loss of articulation. Its killed basic women unless it's a first time in line figure. Looking back, I didn't mind the change because the men never had it so whatever. But it can't be coincidence that after basic 83 I decided to purge me women's collection down to 1 of each except favorites like aj, Sasha, alexa, etc. I'm with you on this one. Even short packed women were still hard to find at retail. I have one Walmart that has Nattie, Fox, Sasha and Bayley figures in stock and been there for a while as well. I dont even bother with women now unless they're elite or I can use an updated head.

Hollywood Hogan Ultimate Figure with removable bandana, white sunglasses, white boa, necklace, nWo cloth shirt, Hollywood weightbelt and nWo title.
That would be my Ultimate Ultimate Lines figure

Not knocking you for wanting what you want...BUT... They just took away articulation on basics. When dms came back they had noticeably less accessories. "Budget" concerns have shown up in several areas like painting torsos. They won't be adding anything. They don't care if you buy or not. Others will. With all due respect, bye. They're adding hands to Elites. Why wouldn't the update the bodies to include some neccisary articulation that EVERY modern 6" $20+ figure has? Elites were a 'high-end' brand of figure that has the ab crunch, rocker angles, etc. Why not double jointed elbows or butterfly shoulders? Would make a huge difference. Mattel NEEDS to freshen the figure lineup. Maybe they could get rid of those useless display stands that no one asked for and take that money and put it back into elites and they could add some more articulation like you want. It would be nice but i don't see it happening.

I think the idea behind the change was the make a bigger distinction between the women's basics and elites, increase the number of female Elites, and then assume that collectors will pay a premium for added articulation and accessories. I know there are some very vocal hardcore collectors of the female wrestlers. But I think Mattel is badly misreading their market. I was happy to pay $10 for the older women's figures. They were a little flimsy, but it still felt like a decent value - less plastic, more articulation. But at $20, I have almost zero interest. I'm not going to pay double the price for the same articulation and a shirt or belt. I just don't see the demand being there. Charlotte is one of the better figures in recent memory, and I can easily find her at every store in my area some 6 or 7 months after the series first landed. Stephanie and Becky Elites were around $5 or $6 last year. The value just isn't there for me, and I don't see there being enough buyers to purchase the figures at that price point. Maybe I'm wrong. But I guess we'll see.

Where they are screwing up is crap accessories with female elites. Signs, plastic cocoons, aj's necklace, whatever you hell those things were with alexa and bayley. And I think they shipped too much of the Charlotte series.

If Asuka is the first then i'll pass, as i am not a fan of hers. That being said i do see a lot of potential for this series though.

I think the face print tech and extra hands is the the excuse they are going to use when prices jump to $25 per regular elite line.
