I'm not going to start quoting individual posters, but I've got an honest question to pose to those few who I've seen claim that Nia Jax is only in the WWE and winning matches like last night because of her family relations: when you hear entire crowds chanting "you deserve it" at one individual superstar, is that not enough proof that they've gotten where they are on their own merits?

They chant you deserve to everyone nowadays... The same way they chant “This is awesome” to every match that runs over 15 minutes Or 'you've still got it,' for someone gone for a while, when they hadn't even done anything yet. Even taking into account how overused certain chants are, if a large section of the crowd chants "you deserve it" to a single individual, it means that the audience have still engaged with that superstar and become invested in them. And that's what pro wrestling is all about. So clearly they must have done something right, all by themself.

And that's what pro wrestling is all about. Yep. I feel that there's absolutely an argument that certain chants ("CM Punk!", "This/We is/are awesome!", etc.) exist in spite of themselves, but I still feel that "You deserve it" is still directed enough in that it's not going to catch on if there isn't a general feeling of engagement from the collective crowd toward the subject. The former chants (though maybe not "...awesome!", at least to me, are indicative of a sense of apathy from the crowd at what is transpiring before them. At least with the latter and some of its distant cousins ("You've still got it!", "Thank you, X!"), the viewer at home gets a base line sense of response that correlates to the product being delivered. I'd chant "you deserve it" at Nia. Hell, there's a decent list of potential winners I'd have chanted that at, were I in attendance.

I didn't watch it live... too much other good stuff on like Dr. Who, Walking Dead, WS game 5, and football. Caught a replay this morning. It was a good show, better than I expected. Becky and Charlotte stole the show imho. Ronda continues to improve. NXT Women's championship match was really good too. Shayna B is going to be a major heel on the main roster one day. One complaint; why do they keep pushing Nia into the title picture while more talented wrestlers like Asuka and Ember Moon are left hanging with nothing to do? AGREED! Nia had her huge Mania moment when she won the title. Why can't someone else get a rub at this show? Ember would have been perfect and fresh. Ember could put up a hell of a fight against Ronda and would make both women look great. It would continue to build Ronda as a competitive and fighting champion, and establish Ember as a legitimate and deserving contender. Nia vs. Ronda again does not excite me, and wouldn't do anything for either woman.

Sasha Banks botching the flip over the rope onto the Riott Squad was awesome though. I don't like Sasha at all, so when she messes up, it makes me giggle a bit knowing she really isn't the best like she thinks she is.
Renee Young's legs too were on point last night as well during that spot near the announce table in the Charlotte vs. Becky match!

Its great you inspire to be the best, everyone should but shut the up telling us about it. If you want to be great then go out and show us you're great. The old saying goes, If you have to tell someone you're great....you're not.

This may sound stupid. But whatever. I would love to see Nia become more polished and become the first women to wrestle and solely successfully wrestle in the men's division. She has the size, strength, and speed to do so. Talk about truly breaking barriers. But What the do I know, right? And I know Chyna did. But I'm talking about on a larger level.

I don't think that was a 'planned botch' at all. I think the spot of the Riott Squad catching her, was planned, but just look at the way she goes over, she clearly didn't hit the jump right, in going over the ropes. The way she goes over was just so completely clunky.

-- The 1 thing that would've been great on the PPV... a Tribute to "Then".
Sensational Sherri, Ms. Elizabeth, Sapphire, Nicole Bass, Chyna, Bertha Faye, Mae Young, Fabulous Moolah (she's a major part of history, like it or not), ect.
Very similar to the video package at ECW: One Night Stand - but with a modernized, fitting tune.

I really enjoyed this PPV. I’ve wanted to see something like this for so long and even with the poor booking/promotion, I think the women definitely delivered.
I didn’t expect too much from the opening tag match, no disrespect to anyone involved. But since it got changed kind of last minute and two of the four women haven’t wrestled full time in nearly 12 years, it pretty much was exactly what I thought it’d be. It was a nice opener. I felt happy for Alicia Fox. She’s been there forever, it seems and this was, as she said in an interview, the biggest match of her career and I think they all did a good job.
The Battle Royal was exactly what everyone would have expected. My only gripe was that I would have liked to see the past women get a few more shots in. The Iiconics promo was decent and I figured they would get thrown out right away. I wish Ember would have won...especially after she finally one upped Asuka, but she’ll get her time to shine. I hope they do a tag team between Nia and Tamina...that would be the best option for those two.
The finals of the MYC was one of my favorite matches. I wish they would have gotten more time but it was a fairly stacked card. I honestly expected Io to win but I’m happy with the result. I was pulling for Toni Storm two years in a row now. Really happy to see her get that win.
The 6 women tag match...I thought this was going to get no time and just be a typical Raw match. The Riott Squad is one of the best things in WWE right now in my opinion. They all looked great here tonight, Liv was a stand out in this match. Sasha took such a brutal beating from them all throughout the match. She really is a great performer and I’ll never understand the hate she gets. I honestly didn’t notice Nattie and Bayley much because the other four women were shining so much more. I think the Squad should have taken the win in this one. But still, it was a very enjoyable match.
The NXT Womens Championship match. I don’t really think there’s much to say about this one. They both did just as good of a job as always. Love both of these two...I expected Shayna to advance to the main roster after this but it looks like they are adding more depth to her character by giving her some stable mates. It could be really interesting to see what the...Three Horsewomen have to offer in NXT.
Charlotte vs Becky should have closed the show. There was really no following that match. Both women are great. The crowd was hot for it...the story was there...it was just a really great match. I don’t follow Raw or Smackdown regularly but I was surprised by how much the fans have turned on Charlotte. I loved the spot when Becky buried her in chairs to keep her down. I was really happy with this match and the result. I hope they don’t take the belt off Becky for awhile.
The Main Event was probably my least anticipated match. I don’t care for either women...I get the Bellas contributions to WWE, but I don’t care for them. I don’t really get the hype around Rousey either, I don’t know...it’s cool that she’s a fan and she’s trying but I’d rather see almost any other woman getting the spotlight for their hard work in NXT/the main roster. It was an okay match though. It was entertaining, I just didn’t care for it personally. I don’t really care to see Rousey vs Nia either so I hope that women’s tag division starts sooner rather than later.
Just a really fun show overall. One of the best PPV’s so far this year.

I guess Kevin Dunn did not work this show. It was the NXT crew that ran it. Thus why it felt completely different. I for one loved the feel of this show.
And while I'm here...
I hate when people credit AJ Lee for starting the Divas/Women's revolution. She played her part, like so many others, but I think NXT is the catalyst for it all. Paige & Emma were tearing down the house while the main roster Divas were still in 30 second matches. The fans saw that and demanded more.

Now if only we could get less and less of him with the product in general. It still bugs me to this day, that because of good his father did, he's been allowed to infect the product for all those decades. It really is sad how Emma doesn't get enough of the credit she deserves for her part in every thing. I think because of her awful run on the main roster, and how she was just part of one of those bulk releases, people don't realize she had a role to play in the building of the 'revolution.'
