I've always been a Sheiky baby fan but no way he was going to be a long term champ. Vince was all pro babyface during those days. That being said if he did have a decent run with the belt I for one wouldn't have complained.

That being said if he did have a decent run with the belt I for one wouldn't have complained. Yeah New York wasn't fond of babyface chases, but would've been something if the Iron Sheik was champ even for less than a year. He could continue feuding with Bob Backlund, thereafter a program with Sgt. Slaughter and Mr. USA Tony Atlas before dropping the title. |
