I remember how happy I was to find E16 Nash in the wild one day when they were up to 70-80$ online, back then I remember how hard it was to find the flashbacks. Stores would only get so many shipments for each series so if you missed them you were ed unless you wanted to pay super scalper prices

I met Chris Jericho at a signing once and had his Entrance Great figure for him to sign. He freaked out when he saw it because he hadn't see one before and played the music and went crazy lol. I also met Demolition Ax at a small independent show and he had a case of his own figures for sale signed before they had even hit retail and of course I got one so that was cool. I guess my best story like this is when the Legends line was going to debut Mattel did a special promotion at a K-Mart in Gastonia, Nc. It was the debut of the Hall of Fame line. Also, Sgt. Slaughter was going to be there signing autographs for the event. I drove maybe 3 hours to get there. We were maybe 7th in line and the crowd starts growing. We start talking to people in line and some people come around giving out tickets randomly. Well we didn't get one so a guy I was talking to yelled at the people handing them out telling them how I (me) had been there for like 2 hours or whatever it was and I should get one so they gave me one. I didn't even know what it was or was for. Come to find out it was a raffle that only like 4 people won. They lined us up behind these tables and put brand new unopened Legends cases in front of us and let up open them. So not only did I get to do that I got my picture with Sgt. Slaughter and an autograph. That was a good day. Matter of fact I found this: www.actionfigurepics.com/2010/08/hall-of-fame-series-collectors-events-2

I guess I have two.
Went to tru(which is in another city from mine) and went to the WWE isle. It was pretty bare and I was pretty disappointed as I had all the ones on the shelf through my Walmart in my city. This is when I restarted my collection after about 5 years so I mainly had jakks figures. The employee came over and told me he just got a full shipment of new stuff. He came out with some bps of Austin and rock and flair and Cena I took them both cuz I only had a jakks Cena and none of the others. Looking back at it.. it was still very depressing lol.
The other story is when I went down to the states last year(Canadian here). I really wanted to get the NXT series 1 elites. Went to target and couldn't find any so I left. Thought I might aswell stop at Kmart to see what they had. They had nothing but as I was about to leave another guy came and was looking and we started talking about how bare the shelves were and about rsc and other stuff. I then mentioned how disappointing it was for no NXT figs at target. He then pointed out that they were not near the WWE section at target and told me where to go. I was very happy to pick up the Rollins and Bayley figs.

Yes...., My memory is a funny thing you know, sometimes it amazes me how I recall stuff. But it seems to be out of my control. For the most part, I can’t remember yesterday.

I don't live anywhere were, where there are (was) Toys R Us or Target. I got WalMart so for me finding figures in stores is few and far between. I got into wrestling because of Warrior so when I found the flash back Rumble one I was pretty stoked and I had the same feeling finding the hasbros back in the day. My last trip to the nearest Toys R Us I found the Fan Central Brain and HHH which I was happy to find and made for a good last purchase. Anytime I can find a figure that brings me back to my childhood I always get a little more excited.

Here’s another good one for me.
So TRU is going out of business and it’s about a month or two before this particular store closed completely. They were currently at 40% off at the time and hadn’t gotten any new figures in months. I was pretty bummed because I REALLY wanted the Bobby Heenan Fan Central Elite and I had come to the conclusion I was either never gonna get it or I was gonna have to shell out on eBay for it. I was checking the place every other day at that point as it’s really close to Wear I live. So I go in one day at about 11am as I wasn’t working that day and was passing by. I go in and see Fan Central Elites. First it was Mark Henry and then Big Show. Even though I didn’t want them I figured I might get them for trade bait for the Heenan. Then my eyes open wide as I see another FC Elite in the corner and unfortunately it’s Triple H. So I grab that one too and just look thru all of the other elites they have. Then behind some tough talkers I see another FC elite behind it. BOOM, Bobby Heenan. Not to mention I got them all for about $12 each. This was also my childhood TRU that this happened and it was my last ever purchase from there too.

My stories are usually a lot sadder. For example reading about he millions of Tito Santana elites warming, yet having to pay over retail to get one cos I’m in Australia 😂

- At the end of 2009 when Jakks was exiting and Mattel entering, i remember seeing images of the new Mattel figures and being a bit sceptical about how good they'd be, their scale and articulation. But i ended up liking them and couldn't wait to get them in 2010 (When i thought they were coming out because of the Ringside Videos). But in November i ordered Elite 1 CM Punk and while waiting for it to arrive, i went to my local Toyworld and saw the entire set of Basic 1 except Cena and Bourne, i got the rest of them and thought i was ultra lucky and had them earlier than anyone in November.
- In April 2011, my family went on a holiday to the Gold Coast, we went to Toys 'R' Us because my area didn't have one, so it was always my favourite place to go. They had a good selection but had 2 things i wanted badly, that being the original Elite Scale Ring and the Signature Series Edge (In the white attire) was so happy to get those, also got 2 TNA Deluxe 2-packs while there, Beer Money and the Nash/Steiner set.
- (Not Mattel) But when i went to Sydney in 2009 for the Raw Tour, i went to Toys 'R' Us there and it was Heaven for me because at the time, my area only had Toyworld, Target and Big W and they never really had anything special. So i went into this TRU and they were loaded with stuff, some of it being old stuff from 2006-2007 that i wanted too. They had RA's, DA's, Adrenaline packs, Classic superstars, the lot. Ended up getting Deluxe Aggression 7 Sabu (a big want of mine), Deluxe Aggression 12 Paul London (another big want of mine), Classic Superstars 2-pack Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant and the WrestleMania 1 Official Scale Ring. I would've got more but it was either the ring or 2 more figures, glad i chose the ring. That whole trip in general was one of my favourite moments in my life. It was my first wrestling show, first time at TRU as a wrestling fan, the hotel i stayed at was good and though sad news, i still remember every news channel reporting on the death of Michael Jackson.
- Same place a year later in 2010, went to TRU and this time it wasn't so good, got there and they had almost nothing and i remember being so sad about it. The only good thing they had (that i wanted) was the TNA Deluxe Impact 1 Sting, they also had the Kurt Angle but i never liked the look of that figure so i never got it (Regret it now because it would've been cool to have an Angle in my fed back then). So just had Sting and felt a bit gutted that's all they had until on the way to the checkout i saw an old Jakks Money In The Bank ring, not the Scale one but the plastic ring one (i remember that ring being slightly bigger than a spring ring but not as big as an offical scale ring). So i got that which made it a bit better.
- An old one, back in 2007 i went to Target and saw the Deluxe 3-pack with Rey Mysterio, Finlay and Undertaker. At the time Mum put it on laybuy for me which i was fine with but we ended up forgetting about it and so i never ended up getting it and it got put back on the shelves. That sucked at the time because i really wanted that red Rey attire.

I've only been collecting for about 2 years, so I've missed out on a lot, in particular CM Punk. I looked up online and saw that pretty much all of his figures fetch a high price so I figured that would be one to elude me. Well, about a month ago I made a trip to a local flea market where I know they have a couple of shops with tons of figures. I check those places out and they are all pretty overpriced for just about everything(one guy's lowest price on Basics was $25, for example). Disappointed, I stroll around the rest of the market. I see a shop that isn't opened yet that sells a little bit of everything and I see the CM Punk Global Superstars Basic MOC hanging from a ceiling beam, but I couldn't make out the price(I thought it said $32). So then the wait was on until the store opened. I don't know how many times I walked around the flea market but I think I walked close to 5 miles that day, lol. Eventually, the store opens and I'm able to go in and see the price clearly, $12! I ask the guy to get it down for me, paid and got out of there like I just stole something, lol.

2016: Had some extra cash and decided to head to the next town over, and check figures. Head to Walmart first and find the new Owens and Bayley basics. Head to Target and pull the new Sasha Banks as well. Hit the second Walmart of the area. As I'm walking down the aisle I see new figures on the shelf. There's also a kid with his grandma(I'm assuming), he's got 6 battle packs, another six elites and about ten basics in her cart. As I walk past, the grandmother is trying to get him to downscale a bit. I see that he's got E40 IRS, Rude, and Zayn. After twenty minutes, he leaves, and I see that he left those three, scooped them up. Later that summer, bagged the Heenan 4 pack on vacation.
Last year, was dying to get E47 for Owens, Styles, and Asuka. One weekend, I took a three hour trip to hunt, and came home empty handed. Next day, did my shopping for the week at home and realized I'd forgotten something. Didn't want to go back, so I stopped at Kmart. Went down the toy aisle and I can see a Styles figure. Then Asuka. Look up, there's Owens on the top shelf. Couldn't believe it.
This year, had a couple fun ones. First, checked Brickseek when the flashbacks were starting to hit, and they showed stock in the next town over. Drove there after work, fresh cases on the shelf. Next day, same thing with the elites. I go, nothing. Check a few others in the area also showing, nothing. Stop back at the first store and see the box sitting on the floor waiting to be shelved. It's on the bottom, but a few minutes later some gal knocks over a lamp and shatters it. Worker comes to sweep it up,and asks if I need anything off the pallet. Pointed out the figures, he breaks it open for me right there. Recently in vacation, managed to snag Elias, E59 Angle and EG Roode at GameStop. Was talked into a Mario bag, which knocked the total down to 60 bucks. Later that week when I get back home, I stop at a Target and find NXT Gargano. I'm happy, but irritated as I'd passed on Ciampa a few weeks earlier when I didn't see Gargano then. Grabbed Gargano, and stopped at another Target down the road. Found the last remaining Ciampa there along with Almas. All three were clearanced to 6.48.

I found all of Elite 12 at a Target in 2011 or 2012. Made sure I grabbed Kane & Papa Shango first.
Went looking all over for Elite 8 because it was a really good set and the first set with belts. Edge, Taker, & Bourne were everywhere but Sheamus & Drew were so hard to find and Regal was shortpacked. Had to go all the way to Lancaster during the Vince build a figure promotion to find Sheamus & Drew, and didn’t find Regal for like another three months at a Walmart in Hanover.
Found E16 Punk & Nash at a Target in York. Looked for that wave harder than any other figures ever.
I found all of E17 at Sears. That was a good set too.
Just got E59 Angle for $15 at GameStop. Got the Hardyz two pack at FYE for $21 as well.
My grandfather, who is probably the most important person in my life, got me the first four RSC exclusives for Christmas 2011. Flash Rey, 2003 Kane, SES Punk, & 1989 Macho King was like one of the best Christmas gifts ever.

Not Mattel but 8 years ago I was a kid so it counts for me <3 One time my dad took me to a flea market and he did the usual which was give me some money and let me wander off on my own. I was walking through the outside part of it but didn't find anything I liked so I went to the inside part of it. After looking through ALL the rows and only had one left I doubt there was going to be anything that catches my attention but then I came across a booth FILLED with WWE Jakks figures. It was so big and they had a lot cool figures. I was a huge diva fan and they had almost all of them such as Mickie James, Melina, Michelle McCool, Jillian, Victoria, Maria etc. I was so happy so I bought some.
