What happen to this tag team? I don't remember seeing much of them after Survivor Series 1987

I always liked The Killer Bees. They were over like rover there for a minute.

I was a big fan actually I remember seeing them live at MLG. They just ended up in singles as jobbers by 88.

Oh man, I was all about the Killer Bees... Although I was the only one I knew of, as all of my friends at school who liked wrestling were into the British Bulldogs.
Yeah, they were pretty much split up with no given reason, storyline or otherwise. I remember Brunzell wrestling Ted DiBiase while wearing longer black-with-yellow-stripes tights, and then he started wearing the red-white-and-blue tie-dye trunks that he had in the AWA.

I don't think Vince and camp were happy with them because they didn't wear "masks" to fit their bee characters.

I was never a big fan but they were a solid team during the late 80s nonetheless.
I know Brian Blair was released prior to SSeries 88 and Jim Brunzell stuck around until 1993 I believe.

They were ok. I liked Blair, but not so much Brunzell.

THE BRIAN BLAIR Nah but seriously, I'm too young to remember them and never saw any of their matches.

Even though the Bulldogs were my team at that time, I always liked the Bees. I would've rather have had them knock off the Hart Foundation for the belts instead of Strike Force.

The Fabulous Rougeaus turned heel on them and they both became jabronis afterward

lamest tag team ever IMO, give me Ding and Dong and the Conquistadores over them any time!!
i guess it's because of 2 reasons for me: 1- never saw them outside of WWF 2- not allergic to BUMBLE FRIGGIN BEES... i'm sure to those who are they seem scary!!!

I liked their style to be honest....but looking back I never felt they were going to be anything except jobbers to the stars in WWF. Their is this tale of Vince wanting them to unseat the Harts.....but according to many? that was always meant to be the Can- Am Connection (who Vince seemed to really like). Even when Zenk bailed he threw together Strike Force to get the task done...

Honestly it is weird that the Killer Bees never had at least one run with the Tag Titles.
I know if you go back and watch any Maple Leaf Garden house show in late 1985 and early 1986, you will most likely see the Hart Foundation vs. the Killer Bees, or single matches between the two teams.

Unfortunately for the Bees, it was a time period where singles or teams held belts for lengthy amounts of time. Bulldogs held the belts for almost a year, Hart Foundation held the belts for 8 or 9 months or so and Strike Force held them for about 7 months and by time Demolition came along, the Bees were way down on the card. In 1987 and 1988 newer teams were coming along (Can-Am, Stallions, Strike Force) and you still had the Bulldogs who were favorites and a top team along with the Rougeau Brothers. I can see mid 1986, Vince McMahon thinking they could get a title run but when you have the Bulldogs and Hart Foundation, it would be hard to get the belts on anyone else when you have those two teams.

The thing about The Bulldogs was that Dynamite was f*ckin crocked. The spot was wide open for the next big face team and who would dethrone the Harts....& I think Vinnie flip flopped like crazy over who that would be.
He was concentrating hard on signing Hawk & Animal from late 86 onwards too to be his BIG face team.....he may not have been all that interested in the face teams he had....

LOVED the killer Bees! as jason1980's said, just too many other top teams at the time when they were hot too. and back then they didnt just give guys belts all the time. if it was today they would get the belts for a few weeks probably at least. always wanted to see them wrestle fan friendly matches vs bulldogs, stallions, strike force.
