Motorhead is out on stage and they sing the new theme song of "The Game" for Triple H. Triple H makes his slow way out with his new shiny sledgehammer and gets in the ring. The bell rings.
Triple H looks pissed. Vince shouts "come here dammit let's fight like men, no weapons, just fists!" Triple H places his sledgehammer in a corner and charges at Vince. Vince manages to take down Triple H by swiping his feet. Triple H is back up and Vince slaps him three times! Vince works him in the corner and starts to cuss, even flipping Triple H. Vince knees him, but Triple H is just too strong for Vince and he spears him down for a beating. Triple H won't stop punching and is relentless. Mick Foley is telling Trips to take it easy. Trips tells him to shut up and lets go of Vince. Foley says that you could end up killing Vince. Trips tells him to shut it or he'll get beat. Vince goes for some object he finds underneath the ring and it's brass knuckles. Vince punches out Triple H and jumps into the ring. Trips is hurt, but rolls back in as Vince is still nearly out of it in a corner. Vince notices Trips, he jumps and actually goes for a spear! Vince now starts firing lefts and rights on the mat! Triple H however starts to choke Vince and lifts him to a corner. Triple H works on him with some elbows and chops. Irish whip to a corner and Vince goes chest first to the turnbuckle real hard. Trips waits again for Vince who sits back up and he smashes the chair once again. Vince is bleeding furiously. Trips starts landing more punches and lifts Vince who hangs in the corner. Trips for a third time slams the chair over him and Vince falls face first. Trips grabs the sledgehammer and finally Stephanie in the back can't take it anymore and runs out to stop Trips. Trips tells her to get out of the way. Stephanie begs Trips to just end it and pin her dad to finish the match. Trips puts aside the sledgehammer and shouts at Stephanie. Foley demands that Stephanie be on the outside. Trips gets Vince back up, but Vince does a desperate low blow. Trips is hurt as Vince jumps on him for a desperate pin to two. Vince tries to get to a corner. Shane leaves commentary and hands over a barbed wire bat that was underneath the ring.
Trips grabs the barbedwire bat and waits for Vince to get back up. Stephanie is pleading to end this from the outside. Trips swings the bat wacking Vince right in the gut as blood is pouring dowb from his face even more. Trips grabs Vince and lands a PEDIGREE ON THE CHAIR (that was in the ring) for the pin to three.
Winner: Triple H via pinfall. Vince McMahon is no longer WWF Chairman.
Stephanie runs in the ring to check up on her father because despite wanting to see him fall as chairman, he's still her father. Shane jumps in the ring celebrating as Vince is practically dead on the mat. Medics arrive but Shane tells them not to enter the ring. Shane tells Triple H to threaten all of them. Linda runs in and can't take it anymore. Foley finally stops Triple H and threatens him to a fight. Linda tells Shane to stop it and that he's going mad with power. Shane finally looks at his dad who is a bloody mess and feels a bit of remorse saying "what have I done" and let's the medics take him to the back. As they start to take him, Vince miraculously gets out of the stretcher. He pushes the medics aside and wants to go back in the ring shouting at Shane, but they grab him forcibly and take him to the back.
SINGLES COMPETITION: The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle

WWF CHAMPIONSHIP NO DQ: Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) vs. The Rock
Note: The match is almost exactly as it went down except the finish.
Howard Finkel announces this is now a no disqualification bout and JR is surprised by this. Austin makes his way to the ring first and gets a MASSIVE pop from the Texas crowd. Rock comes out next and as soon he starts to pose, Austin jumps him and goes right to work. Rock goes for a whip but Austin reverses it and hits the Thesz Press followed by the rights and the elbowdrop. Austin whips Rock but Rock hits a neckbreaker that draws boos from the crowd. Rock goes for the Rock Bottom already, Austin fights out and goes for the Stunner when Rock shoves him away then tries to hit his own Stunner but Austin escapes and tosses Rock over the ropes. Austin goes out and pops Rock over the barrier and brawls with him in the crowd. Rock fights back and tosses Austin over the barricade back to ringside then rams him into the announce table. Rock goes for a whip but Austin counters and hits a clothesline then grinds Rock’s face with his knee brace. Austin tosses Rock in the ring and lays the boots to him then chokes him on the middle rope and hits the straddle. Austin sets Rock on the top rope then goes up and plants him with a superplex but that only gets a two count. Austin undones a turnbuckle pad when Rock fights back again then goes for a whip and hits a flying clothesline. Rock whips Austin and hits a belly-to-belly throw that gets a near fall then clotheslines him over the ropes.
Rock goes out to the floor and rams Austin into the annouce table then repeatedly into the timekeeper’s table. Austin grabs the ringbell and clocks Rock with it, busting him open. Austin rams Rock into the steps and into the announce table then Rock crawls on the table when it collapses. Austin decks Rock back in the ring and hits several rights then hammers away at the open cut on the forehead. Austin chokes Rock on the mat then tries to ram him into the exposed bolt but Rock blocks it. Rock whips Austin but lowers the head and Austin hits a neckbreaker for a two then wails on him some more. Austin stomps Rock down in a corner but Rock comes out with a clothesline. Rock connects with another clothesline and gets in his own shots before ramming Austin into the exposed bolt. Now Austin is busted open as Rock brings the bell in and clocks Austin in the face with it but only gets a two. Rock hammers away on Austin all around the ring then drapes him on the apron and elbows him in the chest. Austin soon fights back and drops Rock on the barricade then catapults him face-first into the ringpost. Austin bashes Rock in the face with a monitor then tosses him back in the ring and covers him for a two count. Austin flips Rock the double bird and goes for the Stunner but Rock blocks it then puts him in the Sharpshooter! Austin gets in the rope break. Rock goes for the Sharpshooter again but stops to flip Austin off first and Austin rakes his face to escape it. Austin takes Rock down by the legs and puts him in his own Sharpshooter but Rock manages to power out of it. Austin slams Rock’s knee into the mat and stomps him in the chest before putting him back in the Sharpshooter, only for the Rock to get the rope break. Austin gets in the old school Million Dollar Dream! Rock begins to fade, but his arm is up near three. Rock then kicks off the turnbuckles into a pin to two.
Austin pounds away on Rock and goes for a whip but Rock counters and drops Austin with his own Stunner! However Rock can’t cover Austin immediately and only gets two. Both men get to their feet and Rock gets in some shots but Austin plants him with a spinebuster for a near fall. Austin goes for a whip but Rock reverses and hits his own spinerbuster followed by the People’s Elbow! Rock covers Austin 1..2..KICKOUT!
Suddenly Vince McMahon who is in a lot of pain, patched up, and nearly limping rushes out with Stephanie trying to follow him around, is out. JR believes he might be out here to help out Austin as Vince watches closely.
The Rock goes for the Rock Bottom, Austin elbows him twice and STUNNER! 1...2..KICKOUT! Austin is in total disbelief. He hangs to the ropes looking at the crowd and is almost in tears for the first time. JR talks about how if he can't beat the Rock AUSTIN MIGHT RETIRE. Vince McMahon is in the ring (since it's No DQ) with a steel chair. He tells Austin that he's here to help. Austin doesn't know what to do he tries to grab the Rock back up.
Suddenly Vince SMASHES THE CHAIR OVER AUSTIN's BACK! Austin (who is still bleeding) shouts to huge heat from the crowd and turns to look at Vince straight into the eye with horror as if he is trying to say "why?" Vince says "I'm sorry" and angrily smashes the chair over Austin's forehead as he falls. Vince rolls out leaving to massive heat from the crowd and Stephanie trying to help him leave.
The Rock is up, has no idea what happened. He looks at Stone Cold laying flat and once again goes for the People's Elbow for the pin and win.
Winner: The Rock via pinfall to become the NEW WWF Champion
The Rock celebrates with the WWF title, without having any idea of how he won, despite a mixed reaction from the crowd. Vince leaves the stage with Stephanie. JR wonders if this is the end of Stone Cold Steve Austin, as the PPV goes off air.

Aw, I still wanted Austin to win! Oh well at least he’s not a heel. But with Vince no longer chairman how does the WWF look like? Will the scratch logo be changed back into the 80’s one? Will Raw go back to the old style? Are Jim Ross and Paul Hayman out of a job?

RAW is WAR
April 2nd, 2001
Host: Jim Ross and Paul Heyman
Champion Roll Call:
WWF World Heavyweight Champion: The Rock (4/1/2001)
WWF Intercontinental Champion: Chris Jericho (1/21/2001)
WWF World Tag Team Champions: Edge & Christian (4/1/2001)
WWF European Champion: William Regal (4/1/2001)
WWF Hardcore Champion: Big Show (4/1/2001)
WWF Women’s Champion: Chyna (4/1/2000)
WWF Light Heavyweight Champion: Dean Malenko (2/26/2001)
Wrestlemania still recaps are shown to start the show.
Shane McMahon comes out to open the show in the ring.
"I have a few things to say, to get off my chest. Last night I was made Acting Chairman of the World Wrestling Federation. As a man of my word, the APA last night won fair and square, and so I will not end WWF Attitude and to show that I am a man of my word, not only will the Right to Censor not be by my side, but I've kept the name of the program tonight as RAW is WAR. However, this doesn't mean everything will be the same, no way, because we are entering a new era. An era where competition is irrelevant, where things will be better than ever and that's the Shane McMahon Era (gets heat).
You see last night, I saw my father fall. I saw him beaten into a bloody pulp by Triple H. It's the thing I've wanted ever since I was a little kid, to take over the WWF from my father, just like Vince McMahon took the WWF from his father. As much as I wanted to see Vince McMahon hospitalized, Stephanie came to me after the match and made me a deal. She tried to talk some sense into me, told me I should have Vince by my side as an ally. I told her she was crazy, why in the world would I do that. So my father, who was full of adrenaline and morphine, was crazy enough to rush into my office as I was celebrating and asked me, "son...what will it take to be by your side?" I was touched, for the first time I admit, it's nice to see a father practically kneel to their son for a change. And so I told him "you know what you have to do". And I was proud of him, because last night he SCREWED Stone Cold Steve Austin out of the title. It was exactly what I wanted, I want Stone Cold to retire, and I've invited Stone Cold tonight to give his retirement speech (huge heat). Last night, my father proved that he can be by my side. So ladies and gentlemen, after discussions with the Board this morning, the new Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors, my father Vince McMahon!"
Vince comes out still selling his beat down last night, and hugs Shane in the ring.
Shane: Vince, as the Acting Chairman, as my "Right Hand", you will be getting a hefty multi-million dollar salary and bonus, a great severance package and retirement plan that no one sitting out here could ever dream of having.
Vince: Thank you so much son. I know everyone is wondering why. Why did I screw Stone Cold? Yes I was Stone Cold's biggest fan, he knows that. But Austin, I had no choice. When I lost to Triple H, right there I knew it was over. Everything I built, everything I struggled for, all gone. Stephanie did the right thing to mediate for me and I did what I had to do dammit, I got my son back, and I have a job. (looks to the fans) Trust me if you all knew you were going to lose your job, you would do anything to get it back! You would screw fellow co-workers if you had too! You would grovel to your bosses and get down on your knees and beg. So Austin that's why I screwed you and I am proud of it.
Suddenly the Rock is out to a big pop with the WWF title on his shoulder on stage.
Rock: You talk about screwing Stone Cold. You talk about the Shane McMahon Era. Well I would like to call this the Era of the Rock. You see, last night, as I beat Stone Cold Steve Austin in the middle of the ring, I thought it was the greatest moment of my life. The Rock finally has done it, the Rock finally beat Stone Cold at a Wrestlemania. I was proud, but the boos, all the fans booing me out of the arena didn't make sense, who boos the Rock? The People's Champion? And so the Rock went back and saw the video tapes and the Rock knew, the Rock didn't win. The Rock didn't beat Stone Cold. The Rock doesn't deserve to have the WWF Championship. So the Rock has come out here for one reason and one reason only, the challenge Stone Cold Steve Austin TONIGHT ON RAW for the WWF Championship!
Shane: No you can't do that Rock...(talks to Vince)...look it's not happening. I think...
Rock: It doesn't matter what you think so why don't you know your role and shut your mouth because if you don't give Austin a second chance tonight, if you don't give the Rock the chance to beat Stone Cold clean, the Rock and the whole WWF will walk out and just like that other company, the WWF will go out of business.
Shane: What the heck are you talking about?
Rock: Everyone is sick and tired of screwjobs and your threats Shane, so if you don't accept, we walk out.
The APA come out, Taker, Jericho and the Dudleys stand beside the Rock.
Shane: Fine (talks to Vince)...you know what fine, you got your match tonight, but it won't just be any match. I will make sure no one interferes, because it will be in a 15-foot high STEEL CAGE. And Rock...because of this rebellion of yours, if you LOSE, I'm going to FIRE YOU (gets huge heat).
JR goes nuts as Heyman says he's more concerned about the controversial finish between the WWF vs. ECW at Wrestlemania and wants answers.
_____________________________________________________________ Dean Malenko (c) def. Justin Credible via submission with the Texas Cloverleaf finisher to retain the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship.
Backstage WWF Commissioner William Regal is talking on the phone with his mother of how proud he is as the European Champion. Vince and Shane walk in talking about Austin and the Rock. Shane tells Regal to get off his desk. Regal hangs up the phone and Shane sits there with Vince sitting on the sofa. Vince wants to take out a beer, but Shane tells him he can't drink in front of the boss because it's unprofessional. Vince nods and puts it away.
Meanwhile, Michael Cole runs into a pissed off Triple H. Triple H wonders why he wasn't invited to the after party. Triple H wonders why Shane McMahon would accept Vince as his right hand man, the man who cost Triple H the title and so much more. The man who Triple H had to destroy and still is beside Shane. Triple H says it's all politics, Shane wanted power and nothing more and he has maneuvered against Stephanie. He preferred the McMahon-Helmsley Era, and says that he doesn't look forward to Shane being the boss.
Rhyno def. Eddie Guerrero via pinfall after a big spear and superplex + jackhammer from the top for the win. Heyman says this is justice for ECW.
Backstage Trish Stratus joins the office in a suit. Shane says now it's professional. Vince says eye candy is always good, but it's his choice and he needs a break as Vince leaves the office. Regal talks to Shane about keeping the Rock if he losses and he's always good for business. Shane tells him there is no way he's going to keep the Rock if he loses.
Chyna (c) def. Molly Holly (w/Crash) via submission in a Whipping Match for the WWF Women's Championship.
Backstage Kevin Kelly interviews Debra. Debra says that Stone Cold is on his way but they came to the arena separately because he was too upset last night. Debra says that he was actually considering on retiring, but she called him on his cell phone just a few minutes ago about the Rock issuing out a challenge. Debra hopes he can regain the WWF Championship, but if he doesn't, it's okay.
The Big Show (c) def. Val Venis (w/Richards) via pinfall with the Chokeslam on a trashcan to retain the WWF Hardcore Championship. After the match, Goodfather and Buchanan run in to beat up on the Big Show. Show manages to clean house as the Right to Censor run off in fear.
Triple H backstage is on his way to Shane's office. He gets in and only William Regal is there on the phone. Triple H demands to see Shane, and Regal said Shane and Trish went out for a bit but they should be back. Triple H goes nuts and turns over the sofa and desk demanding to see Shane. Regal says he'll suspend Triple H if he's touched. Triple H says he won't waste his energy on him.
After a commercial break, Triple H finds Vince McMahon secretly drinking a beer and hiding it as soon as Triple H shows up.
Vince: What do you want.
Triple H: Why? Why are you still here? Why are you working for Shane?
Vince: I don't have to answer to you, you got a problem go ask Shane.
Triple H: Where is he?
Vince: How would I know?
Triple H storms off.
Chris Jericho (c) def. The "One" Billy Gunn via pinfall per the lionsault to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship
Stone Cold arrives to the building. After a commercial break, Triple H finds Shane and Trish making out in a private room. Trish storms out.
Shane: How dare you?
Triple H: You told me how badly you wanted to see Vince McMahon destroyed, to see him fall. And what, now he's your right hand man? I need answers dammit.
Shane: Look you may be my brother-in-law, but the fact is you can't talk to me this way. I'm the Acting Chairman now and I can fire you right now.
Triple H: You and your threats, I'd like to see you try.
Shane: Piss off...
Triple H grabs Shane!
Triple H: For the sake of my wife, I won't kick your a$$. Consider this mercy, because the next time you pull anything, you'll be sorry you messed with the Game.
Meanwhile, Steven Richards is addressing the Right to Censor. He says that they may not have Shane's ear, but maybe they need to get to Linda's ear and convince her to change WWF Attitude because they never lost their convictions.
Backstage Kevin Kelly approaches Stone Cold and asks him about this match tonight. Austin says he came out here to make a speech, but maybe he won't, he has to do this and he respects the Rock for giving him the opportunity.
The Rock (c) vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin in a STEEL CAGE Match for the WWF Championship
Note: This Steel Cage match can be won by pinfall or submission as well.
The Rock is out first awaiting Austin in the cage. Austin makes it out and gets in the ring all ready up. Austin quickly pounds away on the Rock as the bell rings. Rock fights back and hammers away at Austin’s patched up skull as it starts to bleed again, then tosses him into the cage wall and grinds his face across the mesh. Rock stomps Austin down when Austin fights back and whips him but Rock comes back with a clothesline. Rock goes for a whip but Austin hits a knee then takes him down by the legs and catapults him into the buckles. Austin plants Rock with a spinebuster for a two count then unloads on him and stomps him in the groin. Shane McMahon and Vince make there way out. They don't like what there seeing.
Austin goes for the Stunner, Rock counters, Rock stuns Austin for the pin to two. Rock takes him down by the legs and puts him in the Sharpshooter. Shane looks like he's about to call for the bell for a "screwjob" till Triple H storms out to a huge pop from the crowd!
Shane looks afraid as Triple H pushes Vince aside and punches Shane outcold! Triple H chases Vince up the aisle.
Austin crawls for the ropes but Rock pulls him back, Austin won't tap out. The Rock finally releases Austin to tell the referee to do his job then catches Austin coming with a spinebuster. Rock follows up with the Peoples Elbow and covers for the pin to two. Rock is shocked and readies for Austin to set up the Rock Bottom. The Rock goes for it, Austin counters with some elbows and Stunner! Austin is too hurt to go for the pin. The Rock tries to get back up, Austin desperately lands a second Stunner! 1...2...3!
Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin via pinfall to become the NEW WWF Champion
Austin does it as JR goes nuts on commentary. Austin falls into the corner as the Rock lays flat. The referee grabs the belt and hands it over to Austin who celebrates to the Texas crowd who are on their feet. The Rock is up and Austin SHAKES his hand out of respect. Shane on the outside is back up and gets on the mic.
Shane: Dammit Rock, you forced me to do this! Rock...YOU'RE FIRED!
The Rock leaves the cage and chases Shane to the back as Austin celebrates his win for RAW to go off air.

April 5th, 2001
Host: Michael Cole and Tazz
Post-RAW clip is shown where the Rock is pissed off in the back that he was fired, chasing after Shane. Shane orders security after him. The Rock starts laying the smackdown on all security members till the cops show up and arrest the Rock. Shane looks happy. (In reality the Rock left to go shoot the Scorpion King film).
Paul Heyman opens Smackdown as he walks down the aisle and gets in the ring.
Paul: My name is Paul Heyman, and I am out here to talk about ECW. ECW was screwed by the WWF at Wrestlemania X-Seven. Everyone knows that Tazz, who is sitting out here on commentary, had made Eddie Guerrero tap out in the middle of the ring. But no, the new Acting Chairman, Shane McMahon decided that Chris Benoit pinned Rhyno backstage before the Tazmission was locked on Eddie. Here is the thing, there is no footage of this. All we saw was a gang of WWF Superstars beating up on Rhyno. Where is the footage Shane? I don't see it so I am out here demanding that the WWF show footage or I will take legal action...
Shane McMahon walks out on stage.
Shane: I don't know what you're complaining about, in fact I would've never allowed the ECW to be in the WWF in the first place and that's my father's fault for making a binding contract with you people. However, as the new Acting Chairman, I'm a fair man. I know for a fact that Chris Benoit made Rhyno tap out in the back....
Paul: What! What! What! Rhyno never tapped out? You're referees claimed it was by pinfall!
Shane: Was it? (Tazz laughs on commentary, Cole says he probably has other things on mind) I can't remember I've been too busy, but I know it happened before Tazz got in the submission and I have WWF Officials and witnesses who can prove it. So if you want to take legal action you can, however as a fair man, I can give the ECW another chance to prove themselves. That's right at Backlash on April 29th, the ECW can pick one of their best members to take on one of our very best to finally determine who really won at Wrestlemania, the WWF or ECW.
Paul: (has a smirk) Are you sure Shane you want to go there? Because the WWF will be humiliated.
Shane: I have full confidence in our stars.
Paul: Then it's a deal.
The Undertaker & Kane def. Steven Richards, Bull Buchanan & The Goofather via pinfall after Taker lands the Last Ride on Richards.
Triple H makes his way to the arena and Coachman approaches him to tell him that Stephanie wants to see him as they didn't come in together. After a commercial break, Triple H meets with Stephanie.
Steph: Triple H, I'm so glad your here. You have no idea how pissed off my brother Shane is after how you interfered in the main event on RAW and he wants to see you...
Trips: Interfered? Do you call that an interference, or justice?
Steph: Come on, it was Stone Cold Steve Austin. You helped him win. The same Stone Cold who we both hate. And now he's WWF Champion again!
Trips: The whole WWF was ready to walk out on Shane on RAW, why? Because they had enough of screwjobs and what was Shane about to do, try to screw Stone Cold when he was in that sharpshooter. Your brother should be thanking me for saving the WWF.
Steph: Is that what you think? You saved the WWF?
Trips: I don't need this right now...(leaves)
Cole and Tazz talk about new champions being crowned at Wrestlemania as we get stills.
Chyna is in the back being interviewed by Coachman about how WMX7 was an inspiring moment, and that she's proud to be the Women's Champion again.
Backstage William Regal is meeting with the Hardys. He says since they lost, he wants to see as WWF Commissioner, how they could do in singles matches and wants Jeff Hardy in a match tonight.
Jim Ross has arrived (Smackdown is in his hometown) and Lilian Garcia asks him what he's doing at Smackdown. JR says that it's obvious that he would show up at his hometown, but he has another reason because he is going to interview the new WWF Champion later tonight.
Meanwhile, Kurt Angle is doing situps and William Regal meets with him talking about how proud he is of Kurt's performance at Wrestlemania, but is disappointed who couldn't defeat the Undertaker. Angle says he wants a piece of Taker again, but Regal says that he has better things for Angle to do and wants him to think about regaining the WWF Championship again. Kurt smiles and likes the idea and Regal says that he wants to be out with him for his match later tonight.
Rhyno def. K-Kwik via pinfall with the Gore finisher.
Clips of Edge & Christian celebrating in a backstage party after their win at Wrestlemania is shown.
Kurt Angle (w/Regal) def. Test via submission with the ankle lock at a little over two minutes in. Angle won't let go of the ankle lock and Regal even tells the referee to not break the hold. Angle finally does as Test is shouting in excruciating pain. After a commercial break, Angle is in the back after his match with Regal. Regal says he's very impressed at how quickly he conquered Test and that Angle is the best he's ever seen. Regal says he will put in a good word with Shane McMahon because it's time for Angle to get back what belongs to him.
Backstage Kevin Kelly interviews Debra who says that she's proud of Stone Cold who is here tonight, but also says that she's upset that her friend the Rock, who was the one to introduce her to Austin, was fired on RAW.
Jeff Hardy (w/Lita & Matt) def. The Big Show (c) via pinfall to become the NEW WWF Hardcore Champion after Matt Hardy hits a senton, Lita lands the moonsault, and Jeff hitting the swanton bomb for the pin and win!
Backstage Jeff is celebrating and he hugs and thanks only Lita as she gives him a peck on the cheek. Matt doesn't look to happy about and may be jealous.
X-Pac & Grandmaster Sexay def. Billy Gunn and Steve Blackman via pinfall after X-Pac gets in his x-factor finisher on Gunn.
Backstage, Triple H is on his way to see Shane till he sees Stone Cold. Austin and Triple H are face to face, but they don't exchange any words and walk away from each other. Back from break, Triple H asks Shane what he wants in his office where Trish and two security guards are with him.
Shane: I was expecting to see you Triple H, because after talking to my sister, I want to give you a chance to apologize.
Trips: (laughs) You want me to apologize?
Trips: Know this Shane you were the one who brought back Vince, you were ready for another screwjob where guys in the back would've walked out if they saw it happened. So you need to be the one to apologize to me, you need to be the one who should be thanking me.
Shane: Are you kidding? I should fire your a$$ right now heck I don't need any of those guys I can replace them with a whole load of talent that are on unemployment as we speak (aka. WCW).
Trips: You brought this all on yourself. Remember this, the game isn't over, it is just beginning....
Triple H storms out slamming the door hard it breaks apart! Shane looks pissed off.
JR is out to a pop from the crowd and in the ring he is on the mic. He calls out Austin, and Stone Cold makes his way out to a huge pop with the WWF title.
JR: Stone Cold, there have been many questions that I have been meaning to ask. After all it was at No Way Out when you won the WWF title, and it was at Wrestlemania X-7 when you lost the title to the Rock. However, in a rematch on RAW, you regained the WWF title so how does it feel to become the WWF Champion for the sixth time?
Austin: It doesn't feel any different than being champion before, but I have to say it feels great as always. The WWF Championship is what it's all about, if you get into this business, and you don't want the title, you might as well quit.
JR: No question about that, but Austin, you had confided in me about the possibility of retiring if you didn't beat the Rock.
Austin: Now that I beat the Rock, fair and square on RAW, I know I got what it takes. After being paralyzed in the ring, and being run over by a car, after all the beating I took in the ring, I know now I can still hold unto the WWF title.
JR: I saw such great sportsmanship on RAW. Two long-time rivals who for the first time shook hands, how do you feel about the Rock now?
Austin: The Rock is a tough sob and earned my respect, professionally and personally. I hope he comes back one day and that's the bottom line.
JR: Vince McMahon, who claimed to be your biggest fan, betrayed you at Wrestlemania and cost you the title in the first place.
Austin: The bottom line is he ain't the Chairman anymore and the next time I see that sob I'm going to stun his a$$. As for Shane McMahon, if he thinks he can try to screw me over, he needs to realize that just like his father, he won't be able put Stone Cold out of business...
Shane makes his way out to stage.
JR: Shane, I'm in the middle of this interview.
Shane: Like I care. Austin, you're a real piece of work. Yeah I tried to screw you, and I would do it again and again because there is nothing more I want to see than to see you retired from the ring. Heck you still have knee braces on. You don't belong anymore in this new era, the Shane McMahon Era. So Austin, I'm going to make it a living hell for you. I'm going to put you in matches that you never thought possible, I'm going to put you in stipulations you've never faced before and trust me you'll wish you retired at Wrestlemania Austin, remember this...I'm not Vince McMahon.
Austin: That's true you're not because you're a bigger jacka$$ than he ever was.
Kurt Angle and William Regal show up running into the ring. Austin starts landing rights and lefts on Angle. Regal jumps JR and knocks him down! Austin fires back at Regal and clotheslines him on the outside. JR starts to fire back on Angle! Angle gets pissed and gets in the ANGLE SLAM on JR! JR rolls out hurt badly in his hometown as Austin gets pissed, he goes for the stunner, but Angle grabs on Austin's foot and locks in the Ankle lock! He won't let go! WWF Officials try to come out, but Shane stops them. Austin is shouting in a lot of pain as Smackdown goes off air!

RAW is WAR
April 9th, 2001
Host: Michael Cole and Paul Heyman
Cole says that JR is off for the night after that vicious attack by Kurt Angle on Smackdown. Cole asks Heyman if he has chosen someone to represent ECW, and Heyman says that all his ECW guys want to take the lead, but he wants to see who the WWF presents first.
Shane McMahon with Trish Stratus makes their way out to the ring to much heat and gets on the mic.
"On Smackdown, everyone saw how Stone Cold Steve Austin was literally crying and shouting his guts out, begging for Kurt Angle to let go of the Ankle Lock. But you know, I told Stone Cold, I told him that I would make it hard for him, I would create stipulations and put him in matches he's never dreamed of and I will give him a sample at Backlash, as Stone Cold Steve Austin will be defending his WWF title up against Kurt Angle, and boy o boy do I have a special stipulation that's going to make him weep. In fact tonight on RAW, Stone Cold Steve Austin will be defending his WWF title against the Dudley Boys, ALL THREE MEMBERS in a TLC Match (Cole is in utter shock).
But I'm not out here to talk about Austin. I have another problem to address. That problem is Triple H. Triple H thinks he can threaten me, he thinks I'm afraid of him. The fact is, Triple H the only reason why you can walk around in the back thinking you're all that is because you're married to my sister Stephanie. You know Triple H you could've been by my side, just like everyone else in the family. And family is everything to me, but I think my father has it right about you. You're the weakest link in the family Triple H and we can't have weakness. So Stephanie, why don't you come out right this instant."
Stephanie walks out looking confused and on stage.
Shane: Good good, I'm glad you're out here. Stephanie, you know how much I love you as my little sister, but the thing is Steph, I think we have a problem. You swore loyalty to me, you begged me to save Vince McMahon to keep him by my side and I did. I have listened to you at every turn, so in many ways you owe me.
Steph: What are you talking about?
Shane: As your older brother, as the new head of the family (Cole says "what is the mafia?), as Acting Chairman of the WWF, I order you to separate from Triple H.
Steph: (looks shocked) You can't do that?
Shane: Try me sis, I can, you've known dad's wrath, you have yet to see my wrath. I can end your influence in the WWF. I'll buy back all your stock for a discounted price and get the board to go along with it. Heck I'll make you so poor you won't even believe it.
Steph: No...you can't do this to me Shane! I won't do it. I love him.
Shane: Eventually you will, in fact as a fair man, I'll give you till Backlash to make the decision, but in the meantime, I'm going to show you how serious I am.
After a commercial break, Stephanie is in the back upset as she tries to open the Helmsley room. It appears to be locked. She starts shouting at some WWF crewmembers till one of them tell Stephanie that it was locked by order of Shane McMahon.
Kane def. Jeff Hardy (c) (w/Lita) via pinfall with the tombstone piledriver to become the NEW WWF Hardcore Champion.
Backstage Vince McMahon is in Shane's office talking to William Regal about Kurt Angle getting a title shot. Shane enters the office and tells Regal that he needs Kurt Angle to be in prime shape for Backlash and that tonight he wants Angle in a match against the Big Show. Regal says it won't be a problem.
Rhyno def. Crash & Molly Holly via pinfall with the Gore finisher on Crash in a handicap-intergender tag match. After the match Molly jumps on Rhyno's back, he drops her and lands the Gore on her! Heyman says that is what ECW is all about and is so proud of Rhyno.
Backstage Stephanie rushes into Shane's office and asks for her door to be unlocked. Shane asks if she's going to leave Triple H. She says he's crazy and wants her room, she asks Vince to convince Shane. Vince says he wants nothing to do with this and agrees with whatever Shane wants. Stephanie threatens to go to mom, Shane says he isn't afraid because he's momma's favorite and she'll always side with him. Stephanie storms out.
Triple H arrives at the arena. After a commercial break, Triple H tries to enter the Helmsley room and it's locked. Triple H gets so pissed he kicks it open.
Stephanie finds Triple H and tells him that Shane is forcing them to separate. Triple H throws his bag aside and says he's going to destroy Shane. Steph begs him not to do anything because she has to talk to mom first. Triple H says he can't make promises.
Kevin Kelly in the back interviews the Dudleys and Spike with them. The Dudley's still want a chance to regain the WWF Tag titles, but that they're troubled about the match tonight with Austin. Austin has never been in a TLC match before and it looks like one of the Dudley's could become the WWF Champion.
Kurt Angle (w/Regal) def. The Big Show via Submission with the Ankle Lock. Show knocked down Angle early on, but Angle connects with several knees and works on the legs to bring him down. Angle got in the Angle slam and locks in his submission finisher for the win at 1 minute and 33 second sin.
Stephanie is in the back on the phone with Linda. She begs Linda to intervene and thinks that Shane is looking to eliminate family members instead of preserving the family. Linda responds to Stephanie that she can't interfere and this is between Steph and Shane. Triple H sits up and says he's going to confront Shane.
Backstage Stone Cold arrives with Debra to the arena with his ankle looking to be wrapped up after what happened at Smackdown.
Triple H storms into Shane's office. Shane is by himself. Triple H shoves Shane to a wall till suddenly from behind...the Undertaker attacks Triple H! He grabs his hair and brings him out of the office, slamming him to several walls and finally chokeslams Trips on a wooden platform that breaks apart! Cole is in utter shock at the attack as Shane fixes his suit and looks thrilled.
Chris Jericho (c) def. X-Pac via pinfall with the lionsault finisher to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship
Backstage Kevin Kelly tries to interview Austin and asks him about facing the Dudleys. Austin asks, "What the hell is a TLC match?" Kelly tries to explain it to Austin, Austin asks is it is a Ladder match because he's done that before, Kelly says not exactly and tries to further example it as Austin says he doesn't give a rats a$$ what it is and Shane can try whatever he wants because he won't give up the title.
Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) vs. D'Von, Bubba, and Spike Dudley in a Handicap TLC Match for the WWF Championship.
The Dudley's are in the ring they bring in chairs, place two tables in a corner and have ladders ready on the outside. This TLC match is by submission or pinfall so the belt is with Austin. Austin makes his way out and looks confused about the match. He rushes in and starts beating down on all three of the Dudleys! However they start to get the advantage and work on Austin. D'Von gets a chair and swings to Austin, Austin kicks him and STUNNER! Bubba attacks Austin from behind and goes for the irish whip, but Austin reverses and whips Bubba into a table, breaking it apart! Spike tries to take out Austin, Austin looks at Spike like he's a weak little piece of trash and stuns him so hard that Spike literally falls to the outside after the stunner! Austin grabs a chair and smashes D'Von and Bubba in the head! Spike tries to get back in. Austin laughs at him and grabs his head tossing him back in the ring. He flips him off and gives him a hard enough stunner that Spike flies into the second table and breaks it!!! Bubba and D'Von try to get back up as Austin takes another chair and smashes Bubba and stuns D'Von for the pin to three!
Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin via pinfall to retain the WWF Championship
Austin: If that's the best you can do Shane, than I want you to do better.
Shane: (out on stage) Well Austin you got lucky this time because at Backlash, you're going to be put into a 30-minute Ultimate Submission Match with Kurt Angle, that's right, whoever has the most submissions in that time period wins.
Austin is in disbelief, as Cole wonders how Austin isn't much of a submission performer, but a brawler. RAW goes off air.

April 12th, 2001
Host: Michael Cole and Tazz
Smackdown opens with WWF Tag Champs Edge & Christian backstage rewatching footage from RAW of how Stone Cold Steve Austin beat up all three of the Dudleys and laughing about it. Edge says that Spike's scrawny bones probably collapsed from that table. Christian says that they don't even deserve a title shot because of how embarrassing it was.
Edge: Can you imagine, maybe I should've taken that handicap match.
Christian: Heck I could beat all three up probably faster than Stone Cold did. (laughs)
Suddenly Stone Cold Steve Austin shows up behind them with a cold stare. Edge and Christian both slowly turn back in fear.
Edge: Mr. Austin, ummm look I just wanted to say what you did to the Dudleys was impressive.
Austin: O you thought that was impressive?
Christian: Yeah it's hilarious I mean three guys against one (laughs)
Austin: (laughs and stops, in a serious tone) What do you mean one?
Edge: Well three against one...(laughs)
Austin: O you think it was funny? You think the Dudleys were piece of cake?
Christian: Well ya I mean look at the match they were so easy...
Austin: They were piece of cake for Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Stone Cold alone.
Edge: What's your problem man?
Austin suddenly attacks Edge and throws him to the monitor. Christian strikes at Austin's back, Austin tosses him into the wall.
Spike Dudley (w/The Dudley Boyz) def. Albert via pinfall with the bicycle kick and a little help from the Dudleys on the outside.
After a commercial break, the Dudleys are interviewed by Coachman and they say fighting Stone Cold Steve Austin was like fighting fifty guys in the ring at once and tonight they needed this win and are proud of Spike who after crashing into a table after a stunner like that on RAW could come out winning on Smackdown. Suddenly Paul Heyman shows up. Heyman says that he liked what he saw with Spike, and agrees that Austin was no picnic, though if they had the right manager, they would've been able to use strategy to defeat Stone Cold. The Dudleys disagree and say they're not interested, but Paul reminds them of their ECW days and how they were once loyal. Spike says "You didn't pay us man" and they leave with Paul having a grin on his face.
Backstage, Edge & Christian enter Shane McMahon's office and finds Shane flirting with Trish on a sofa.
Shane: Have you ever heard of knocking?
Edge: Did you see what Austin did to us?
Shane: Yeah I did, and I'm glad you're both here because tonight I'll give you guys Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Christian: Excellent! This was great (they both sit on the sofa beside Shane and Trish to watch the monitor) What are you guys watching?
Shane: What the...you know something it's not going to be a handicap match in fact I'm partnering up Stone Cold with Kurt Angle to face you both for the Tag Team Championships.
Edge: (laughs) Are you being serious?
Shane: (shouts) Now get out of my office!
Meanwhile, Lilian Garcia interviews Crash Holly. Crash wants the Hardcore title back. Kane shows up from behind. Crash jumps and pushes Molly infront of him. Kane shakes his head and leaves.
Chyna (c) def. Ivory (w/Richards) via pinfall with the gorilla press slam to retain the WWF Women's Championship
Backstage, the APA are playing poker. WWF Commissioner William Regal shows up and tells them that he doesn't like that gambling is happening backstage. The APA are about to get pissed off, but Jacqueline asks if he wants to join in. Regal starts to think about it and decides to do so. Meanwhile, Kurt Angle arrives to the building.
After a commercial break, Shane McMahon meets with the Radicalz. He says he was impressed with how they did a good job at Wrestlemania against ECW and wants to find out who is the best among them, so he wants them out there tonight in a Fatal-4-Way to determine who is the best Radical to represent the WWF at Backlash against the best of ECW.
Rhyno def. Hardcore Holly via pinfall with the Gore finisher.
After the match, William Regal is all excited as he's winning in poker. Kurt Angle rushes out and asks what the heck he's doing and that he's pissed that Shane would put him in as a partner with Austin tonight. Regal suddenly loses all of his winnings (was hustled) and is upset. Kurt says he needs him. Regal tells Kurt that he should think of it as a reward because he can do whatever he wants with Austin in that tag match.
Chris Benoit def. Eddie Guerrero vs. Perry Saturn vs. Dean Malenko (c) via submission in a non-title match. Chris Benoit to represent the WWF at Backlash. Despite being best friends, all four beat the living hell out of each other. Benoit got in the crossface on Saturn for the win.
Kane (c) def. Kai-En-Tai via pinfall in a handicap match with the tombstone on Taka to retain the WWF Hardcore Championship. During the match, the Big Show was watching on the monitor and expressed his interest in regaining the title.
Backstage Coachman interviews Stone Cold with Debra about tonight's match. Austin says he isn't worried about Kurt Angle and wouldn't mind regaining the WWF Tag Team Championship.
Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) & Kurt Angle (w/William Regal) vs. Edge & Christian (c) for the WWF Tag Team Championship
Edge and Christian are in the ring. Kurt Angle comes out first with Regal. Austin comes out next with the WWF title. Austin flips off all four of them and wants to go first. Regal tells Kurt to let him have it. Austin and Christian go at it, Austin stuns him early on. He drags Christian to Edge for the tag. Edge looks frightened and counters a kick from Austin, he starts landing in a few punches, but Austin gets in the stunner and goes for the pinfall, but Angle kicks Austin for the break. Cole talks about how they could've been Tag Champs right there. Austin gets pissed and starts a fist fight with Angle! The both end up going to the outside till they're counted out!
Winner: Edge & Christian via Countout to retain the WWF Tag Team titles
Austin whips Angle into the ringpost till William Regal jumps Austin. Austin counters Regal and whips him into the railings up the aisle. Angle jumps Austin, but Austin gets in the stunner till WWF Officials finally run out to break them apart for Smackdown to go off air with Edge & Christian jumping for joy in the ring and the Dudleys watching in the monitor in the back; furious that the tag champs won the match.

RAW is WAR
April 16th, 2001
Host: Jim Ross and Paul Heyman
A short clip is shown from Sunday Night Heat where the Radicalz and ECW guys went to war. Benoit is chosen as the WWF star, while Rhyno is chosen as ECW's star to face each other at Backlash.
Heyman welcomes back JR who was injured from Kurt Angle's vicious attack two weeks ago. JR says there is hell to pay and he believes Austin is going to face his biggest challenge yet against Kurt Angle at Backlash in an Ultimate Submission Match. However tonight WWF Commissioner William Regal has ordered both brothers in a match, Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy, to determine a No. 1 contender for the WWF IC title at Backlash. Also in action, Stone Cold will be defending the WWF title against the European Champion and WWF Commissioner himself, William Regal.
Triple H makes his way out to open RAW and is on the mic.
Trips: Last week, the Undertaker tried to take me out of the game. He forgets that I am the Game, and I am that damn good...but I'm not out here to address the Undertaker, I'm out here to address my brother-in-law Shane McMahon. Shane wants me to separate from Stephanie, my own wife, well Shane there is no way in hell that I'm going to leave Stephanie. So you've given her till Backlash to make a decision? You can forget about it because I know Stephanie, she'll never agree to your demands. Bring on your threats, because...(Shane walks out on stage)
Shane: You know something Triple H, I have no idea who gave you the time to be out here, because let's face it these idiotic fans out here don't give a crap about you. The fact is, you need to leave my sister. You've been a bad influence on her from the start. You took away her innocence, made her get implants, heck the only reason why you married her was for power. Everyone out here knows that!
Trips: Why don't you do me a favour Shane, and do the one thing you never seem to be able to do and shut the hell up.
Shane: You can't tell me to shut up I am the Acting Chairman and as Acting Chairman, I'm putting you in a match against the Undertaker at Backlash. And to give you a sample of what's to come, later tonight you'll be taking on Kane.
Trips: Bring it on, because it doesn't matter who it is, Stephanie will be by my side and you can be rest assured that this isn't over Shane till when I say...it's over.
Backstage Stone Cold is with Debra and Debra is concerned about the Ultimate Submission Match and that he could really get hurt. She says she's glad that Kurt Angle has the day off. Austin shouts at her and says that he doesn't give a damn what kind of stipulation it is and that at Backlash he'll walk away as the WWF Champion. He ain't afraid of Angle either.
Edge & Christian (c) def. Crash & Hardcore Holly (w/Molly) via pinfall to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships after Edge rolls Crash by grabbing unto the tights to steal the win.
Backstage the Hardy's just arrived with Lita and Michael Cole interviews them about their match tonight. Jeff and Matt would love the opportunity at a shot for the WWF IC title and they're in shock that they have to face each other for it. Lita doesn't like the idea and believes that Regal wants them to split.
Bubba Ray Dudley (w/D’Von Dudley) def. Justin Credible (w/Raven) via pinfall with the top rope "wassup" headbutt finisher.
Backstage Shane McMahon is flirting with Trish Stratus. JR still thinks it's disgusting that Shane is with the woman who was with his own dad. Vince shows up and "apologises" for interupting them. Shane says he's glad he made it to his office because he needs Vince to convince Stephanie to leave Triple H. Vince says "yes sir" and Heyman laughs saying that Vince McMahon is an embarrassment to the WWF. After a commercial break, Stephanie is talking to William Regal for some reason. Vince tells her nicely to break up with Triple H because it's the "right thing to do". Stephanie says he doesn't want to talk to Vince about this at all as she leaves the area. Regal tells Vince not to worry and that she'll come around by Backlash.
Jeff Hardy def. Matt Hardy via forfeit to become the No. 1 contender for the WWF IC title with Lita in a neutral corner. Matt agrees with Jeff to let him have it and gives him the win. Shane comes out on stage and says this is bs, and people wanted to see two brothers beat each other to death and instead they got something that "other company" would do. So just for that, he's bringing out the Right to Censor to face them right now.
The Hardy Boyz (w/Lita) def. Right to Censor (Buchanan and Goodfather) (w/Richards) via pinfall with Jeff getting in the swanton on Buchanan.
After a commercial break Coachman interviews Steven Richards who tells him that he's so sick of tired of the Right to Censor losing and that he is looking for new recruits.
Michael Cole is in the back interviewing William Regal who is getting ready for his match tonight. Regal tells Cole that it doesn't matter what happens tonight, he is going to weaken Austin for Angle at Backlash. Cole asks him as to why he isn't putting the European title on the line since he has yet to defend it at all. Regal tells him to shut his mouth because he's been defending it in "Europe". Cole wonders where, and Regal says to mind his own business.
Chris Jericho (c) def. Raven via submission to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship with the walls of jericho submission.
Backstage, Stephanie is talking to Triple H who is getting ready for his next match. She tries to convince him to make amends with Shane and that the whole thing is just simply crazy. Triple H says no way, Stephanie asks him if the only reason he married her was for power in the WWF. Triple H says that's crazy and he does love her and right now he doesn't need this because he's got a match.
Triple H def. Kane (c) via DQ in a non-title match. Before the match started, Kane was on his way out till he was attacked by the Big Show who smashes him to a wall. After a commercial break, Kane is really angry, but Triple H now runs into him and they fight it out to the ring. Triple H nearly got in the pedigree late in the match till the Undertaker appears with his harley and drives it to the ring.
He starts fighting Triple H and lands a big chokeslam on him for the referee to call the bell. The Big Show runs out and saves Triple H from a double chokeslam attempt. Show fights off Kane, Taker goes after Show, Triple H is up and all hell breaks loose till they're taken out.
Backstage, Trish is loosening up her suit to show some cleavage (since this is what Shane wants). Regal walks in to the office and asks her where Shane is. She says that he's in a meeting with Stephanie. Regal says he just wants to make sure he knows he has his next match.
Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) def. William Regal (c) via pinfall to retain the WWF Championship.
European title wasn't on the line. It was a quick squash for Austin to get in the stunner two and a half minutes in for the win. After the match, Austin starts to assault Regal into a corner and shoves a referee and gets on the mic.
Austin: I don't give a rats a$$ about Kurt Angle getting the day off because I want him out here right now and open up a can of whoop a$$. Hell give me anybody, I need to kick some a$$.
Shane: (walks out to stage) You know something Austin, you want another match you got it because this Thursday on Smackdown Austin, you'll be in a rematch with William Regal, but this time, it'll be a Lumberjack match with men...ha...chosen by me.
Austin: I've been in lumberjack matches before you sob...
Shane: It's not going to be like any lumberjack match, because the stipulation will be that if you touch any one of the lumberjacks you'll lose the match and the WWF title (gets heat).
Suddenly from behind Austin, a hooded Kurt Angle knocks him down and gets in the ankle lock! Austin breaks the hold kicking him down and gets in a huge stunner and a pop from the crowd! Austin notices it's NOT Kurt Angle, but his brother Eric who roles on out. Austin looks pissed and shouts he wants Angle, but Shane laughs it off as RAW goes off air.
