I think there’s a lot of overreacting to this. I think his intent was to give his opinion on why he doesn’t like her/Iconics currently on the main roster, and it kind of went into a weird place. I think he meant that in his opinion the bigger boobs have affected her in ring performance. Talking about thinking she was more attractive in NXT made it more awkward and wasn’t intended to have anything to do with why he doesn’t like them on the main roster. Is he in the wrong for what happened? Of course. But, since it’s Meltzer and the year 2018 the Internet is gonna go nuts.

Why do people still give this guy attention? He’s the Vince Russo of dirt sheets. Quite the opposite actually. He is the Vince McMahon of wrestling journalism. That’s even worse.

She hasn’t learned how to carry the new weight and it has thrown off her balance. He is absolutely right.

I think he was referring to the implants. Much ado about nothing. An apology was expected and probably needed, but I kind of wish Meltzer had stood up for himself a bit more since I think his comment was taken out of context or misunderstood a bit. Plus, you cant ride the high horse of "anti body shaming" if you yourself were apparently either unhappy with your own body, or felt pressured by your employer, and got surgery to augment your appearance.

Where did he say that she got bigger? I heard the audio clip and he didn’t say anything about her being bigger(gained weight) he said he liked her better in NXT when she was And I quote "lighter" not saying that's why he liked her more in NXT but he definitely said she was lighter and that means she's bigger now. If he didn't say anything along those lines he wouldn't have apologized. I thought he meant lighter in skin tone lmao

He's supposed to be a wrestling journalist, not playing "hot or not."

I'm not surprised. IMO there's no redeeming qualities to this guy. I'm just surprised he didn't make a random guess and then say, "well plans can change" to cover his butt.

What? Someone who felt pressured by their employer to alter their appearance for the sake of their line of work can't be anti-body shaming? On what planet does that make even a lick of sense?

Hell even a broken clock is right twice a day. I just never understood how people can take him or any other dirt sheet seriously. What did JBL always say to Cole when Cole would talk about a rumor as facts? Something along the lines of “You can’t quote yourself and call it a source” That’s what I think about guys like him. lol

I personally think he's 99% full of crap.

What? Someone who felt pressured by their employer to alter their appearance for the sake of their line of work can't be anti-body shaming? On what planet does that make even a lick of sense? I guess what I meant, and didnt do a good job of wording it, is that if you dont call out your own employer for body shaming, and not only do you not call them out on it but also conform to their pressures, and then while working for said company you call out someone else for their comments or viewpoints, it comes off as disingenuous and trying to take aim at an easy, low risk target in my opinion. Sending the social media mob after Meltzer is a lot easier than taking a stand against a company like WWE, which would make a real stand and a real difference if you ask me. Im in no way advocating for belittling people or their appearance, but I get tired of the hypocrisy and mob mentality on social media in cases like this. I also think Peyton obviously took the comment as a comment on her weight when that was not the case. You got a boob job to get/keep a job, and then blast someone for taking notice of it and asserting that they think it has effected your ring work, or their opinion is they simply preferred your look more before the surgery. I dont see the cause for media outrage here.

Not the first time he's criticized a woman wrestlers body. I remember reading on reddit archives of his newsletter where he comments on Sables plastic surgeries in a bit of a brutal way (10 thousandth boob job). Oh well, Meltzers not that important to me outside of when Russo and Prichard bash him. Thats when i find him entertaining.

It was absolutely about the boob job. Dave hates fake boobs. It was just worded terribly and blown out of proportion.
He apologized, very thoroughly, so I really couldn't give a crap.

Why wasn't there any outcry when Cornette and others talked about Kevin Owen's weight?
Oh right, we live in a world of hypocrisy and white knights.
