Saturday Night’s Main Event June 16, 1990 Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska Hosts: Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura
Vince: Welcome everyone to another Saturday Night’s Main Event! I’m Vince McMahon and with me is Jesse “The Body” Ventura. Boy what a show do we have a show for you tonight! Jesse: I’m excited McMahon! I can’t wait to see what our superstars have to offer tonight! And personally I can’t wait to see Mr. Perfect beat Hogan in their tag match tonight! Vince: Well that’s one of our matches here tonight, I’m excited for the main event where the Undisputed WWF Championship is on the line. Jesse: Earthquake might be the one to defeat the Warrior! Let me tell you something, this Earthquake is a monster. He crushes anyone who gets in the ring and tonight we might see the Warrior get crushed and a new champ! Vince: Speaking of Championships, the Tag Team Champions Demolition take on The Rockers! Jesse: Demolition has had the Tag Belts since Wrestlemania, and to date they are the longest reigning Tag Team Champions we had. Jake Roberts def. Virgil (w/ Ted DiBiase) via DQ Ted hits Jake with the Million Dollar belt and KIDNAPS Damien! The Texas Tornado def. Tito Santana
Demolition (Ax and Crush) (w/Smash) def. The Rockers (Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty) to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships The match ends in a controversy as the ref was knocked out leading to all three members of Demolition assaulting them before Crush pins the illegal Jannetty when the ref came to. ___________________________ Hulk Hogan and Dusty Rhodes promo
Hogan: Well let us tell ya something Perfect and Macho King, you too have attacked us and claim your better than us but the matter of fact is, you know deep down you can’t beat us! Dusty: Yeah Hulk baby, let me tell you something Perfect! You might have defeated Superfly Snuka but you can’t beat the Hulkster! This man was the Champ for 5 years daddy! Tonight that undefeated streak comes to an end! Hogan: Savage, Perfect, what’cha gonna do when Hulkamania and the American Dream run wild on you! (Flexes) ___________________________ Hulk Hogan and Dusty Rhodes (w/ Sapphire) vs. Mr Perfect and Macho King Randy Savage (w/ Queen Sherri) The heels enter first with the crowd booing them as expected and pop when Real American plays, Hogan and Dusty shake hands and climb into the ring. Hogan tears his shirts and does the “YOU!” point at Perfect before our match begins. Hogan locks Perfect in a headlock and gets some hits in before Perfect breaks out and flips Hogan over. He locks in a headlock but Hogan breaks out and traps him in the corner and clotheslines him. Hogan delivers a knee to his face before Perfect crawls out of the way and quickly makes a tag to the Macho King. Savage clotheslines Hogan and starts punching him in the face repeatedly, the ref tries to get Macho off but Savage just keeps pounding on to Hogan before Hogan pushes him off. Hulk holds his head before Macho scoops him up into a scoop slam before attempting a pin and gets a two count. Savage scrapes his boot on Hogan’s face before he signals for the elbow drop but as he goes to climb Hogan starts crawling to Dusty, Savage hops down and quickly grabs Hogan’s leg and drags him back. Hogan pushes him with his foot and knocks him down before he finally tags in Dusty who goes nuts. He clotheslines Savage and delivers an elbow to Perfect before he and Savage battle it out. Later on Savage tags in Perfect who gets Dusty with a perfect plex, Dusty’s foot is on the rope and the ref sees it, Perfect starts kicking Dusty before he delivers a fist drop to him. Hogan is desperately reaching for Dusty and finally gets a tag in which gets the crowd hot, he climbs into the ring and points at Perfect. He tells him it’s over and starts the three punches, then the big boot, and when he goes for the leg drop Sherri climbs onto the apron and hits him with her heel! Hogan holds the back of his head and is rolled up by Perfect, but the ref is too busy trying to get Sherri off the apron when Perfect lets go and suddenly he is tagged out by Savage who goes to the top rope and delivers a elbow drop! Sherri climbs down and the ref counts the pin, giving Savage a win over the Hulkster and keeping Perfect’s streak intact. Winners: Macho King Randy Savage and Mr. PerfectSavage celebrates his victory but Perfect isn’t too happy about it, he shoves the Macho King and yells it was supposed to be his victory not Savage’s. Savage tells him that his “little streak” is intact and he can shove it, which leads to Perfect PUNCHING Savage! Randy falls and can’t believe what has happened, but he pops back up and attacks Perfect! The two brawl while Hogan recovers and is helped out by Dusty Rhodes. ___________________________ We cut to McMahon and Ventura afterwards and both men are stunned. Vince: I cannot believe what we have just seen! Ladies and gentlemen if you just tuned in, Mr. Perfect has just attacked the Macho King! And the two just brawled in the ring! Jesse: I’m stunned McMahon! These two guy’s egos were too big and they collided! Luckily it was after the match and not during, I can’t imagine having to see Hogan win another match ever since his losing streak at Wrestlemania! Vince: Losing Streak? Jesse, I don’t think the Hulkster’s on a losing streak. Summerslam is two months away and who knows what will happen during those two months! ___________________________ The Ultimate Warrior (c) vs. Earthquake (w/ Jimmy Hart) for the Undisputed WWF ChampionshipEarthquake makes his way out to the ring and Jimmy Hart yells into his microphone about how he and not Bobby Heenan will manage the future Undisputed WWF Champion, however he interrupted by the Warrior’s theme as the champ runs down and slides into the ring and climbs the turnbuckle and poses for the fans. Earthquake goes to attack the Warrior but Warrior dodges it and attacks him! The match begins with Warrior removing his championship belt for the ref to quickly pick up and give to Finkel, Warrior hits Earthquake with a clothesline but he doesn’t go down! Warrior hits another, this time staggering Earthquake. The champ does it again but this time Earthquake delivers a big boot to his face and begins to choke the champ! The ref tries to stop him but Earthquake won’t let up until the Warrior overpowers him! The Warrior pushes him off and starts to shaking the ropes, he doesn’t feel Earthquake’s attack on him but when he turns around he is grabbed and is slammed down into the mat before Earthquake attempts to cover him but the Warrior kicks out and hits the shoulder tackles before lifting the big man up and slams him! He runs to the ropes and hits the splash and covers him for the pin. Winner and STILL WWF Champion: Ultimate WarriorWarrior grabs his belt and holds it up high when suddenly RICK RUDE appears at the entrance way and signals to the Warrior that the belt will be his!

Hulk Hogan shoot interview 2004Interviewer: So at Wrestlemania VI you lost to the Ultimate Warrior, who would go on to be the first ever WWF Undisputed Champion. What do you think of how it turned out? Hogan: I needed a break, Vince knew that, I knew that. So I dropped the belt to Warrior then filmed a movie before returning. At the time we all thought it was a good idea, but soon enough the fans got tired of the Warrior and I was brought back. Interviewer: Did you have any bad feelings when Warrior was given both titles? Hogan: Not really, I mean maybe the mid card guys were since they didn’t have a belt to fight for beside the tag teams. Interviewer: You went on to beat Mr. Perfect at Summerslam to break his undefeated streak, was that always the idea? Hogan: Actually Vince wanted Brutus to beat Perfect at Mania but Hennig managed to convince him to let the streak live on. Then when we started our feud we always had me breaking it. Interviewer: You would disappear yet again following Summerslam, was that because of filming? Hogan: Yes, plus Vince heard the crowd and they popped for me more than Warrior so I’m guessing they were going to have Earthquake to attack me at some point but I was already in LA when they called. Interviewer: What do you think of Warrior’s run as Champion? Hogan: Vince was experimenting with new champions at that time, he had The Rockers become Tag Champs at that Summerslam special and of course Warrior was WWF Champion. It was fine, he had the fans for awhile before they soured on him with those crazy promos and when I came back they cheered me to the moon. I think he wasn’t ready for the belt yet, plans actually were for me and Perfect to face off at Mania 6, hell even Zeus was considered at one point. Interviewer: You mean the guy from No Holds Barred? Hogan: Yes but Vince saw how bad that No Holds ppv did so instead he went with Perfect before going with Warrior.

WWF Prime Time WrestlingOctober 22, 1990Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby “The Brain” HeenanThrough out the show Heenan is teasing Hogan and Warrior about Rude and Perfect’s challenge for Survivor Series and that Demolition is joining his team but never do we see a response until we cut to both men via satellite. Hogan: Well Bobby we got your message and we accept! At the Survivor Series, the power of the Warrior and the power of Hulkamania will combine yet again and will annihilate Mr. Perfect and Rick Rude! But since it’s a Survivor Series match we’re going to need two more partners and I think I know the two men perfect for the job. Suddenly The Rockers appear behind them! Michaels: Demolition, we aren’t done with you yet! Jannetty: What you did during the title match last week was pretty bad and since your in this match, we decided we’re going to help the Warrior teach you two rip offs a lesson! Heenan: Oh, so Warrior and Hogan couldn’t find two real men to join them so they got the pretty boys to join the team? Ha ha ha! You two are only champions due to a fluke! And sooner or later you luck will run out and Demolition will be the champions again! Gorilla: Well you’ve seen it here folks, the main event teams have been formed! Who will survive? We’ll see a month away from today!

The “Ravishing” One has quit the WWF, now the main event between the team of Perfectly Rude (obviously co-captained by the previously mentioned Rude) taking on the team of WWF “Undisputed” Champion Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan may be in trouble.
Word has it that McMahon is scrambling to find a replacement and some big names have been thrown around including Earthquake who was supposed to feud with Hogan before Summerslam, the newly turned Sgt. Slaughter who is currently in a feud with Jim Duggan and Nikolai Volkoff, and even former WWF Champion The Iron Sheik who is rumored to be coming back to the company to work as Slaughter’s manager (the jury is out on that).
Who ever it will be, guaranteed the team of Perfectly Rude is finished and is now just being called the Perfect team.
In other news, Akeem has quit the company as well but the former One Man Gang had little to do come showtime.

The Ultimate Maniacs (Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, and Marty Jannetty) vs. The Perfect Team (Mr. Perfect, unknown, Smash, and Crush) (w/ Bobby Heenan and Ax)The teams enter but the mystery partner is not among them, Heenan gets on the mic and starts talking. Heenan: Don’t worry, he’ll be here. I just wanted to save it and see your faces when he enters! And now ladies and gentlemen, from Death Valley I give you The Undertaker!! The Undertaker enters and the arena is stunned, he walks slowly down to the ring and enters the ring. Heenan laughs as everyone including his own team are in disbelief, he helps Taker with his jacket and Taker takes off his hat to reveal his face. The teams decide who goes first and we start off with the Ultimate Warrior and The Undertaker. Warrior tries everything he can to knock the big man down but nothing works, Taker easily overpowers the champ and starts choking him! The ref tries to get him off but Taker ignores him and continues till Heenan orders him to stop, Taker continues to work on Warrior until the champ manages to tag in Michaels. Shawn launches himself from the top rope but Taker catches him and hits the Tombstone Piledriver and eliminates Michaels! Shawn Michaels eliminated by The UndertakerThe crowd and the commentators are in shock, Taker stares daggers into the remaining Ultimate Maniacs, Jannetty is the legal man and he decides to play it safe and try to take him down by going after the legs. Taker still doesn’t go down and grabs Jannetty by the throat and slams him down to the mat! Jannetty gets his foot on the rope when Taker pins him, the giant picks him up by his throat and slams him into the turnbuckle and hits a couple of elbows into him before tossing him down on the mat. Jannetty quickly tags in the Hulkster and the crowd pops as Hogan steps face to face with the big man and the two brawl. The Undertaker surprisingly has the edge over the former champ as he gets him to the turnbuckle and starts to walk on it! He jumps down and hits Hogan’s elbow before going to work on him by choking him which Heenan loves, eventually he’s forced to release the choke hold and Hogan seems to be a goner but as Taker approaches him he flips Taker over the top rope! But the Undertaker pulls him down and the brawl before both teams get into it! The ref is counting both men out and nearly reaches 10 when the Warrior grabs Hogan and slides him in before throwing Taker head first in the steel steps! Taker snaps back up and his eyes are blank! He goes after the Warrior as he is counted out. The Undertaker eliminated by Hulk Hogan via countoutSmash enters and works on the Hulkster, who later tags in Jannetty who works on Smash. Later Smash is elimnated by Jannetty with a flying cross body from the top rope, Jannetty would also eliminate Crush before a Perfect Plex ended his run. Hogan is being worked on by Perfect and is locked into a boston crab, but the Hulkster reaches the ropes as the crowd starts to chant for him. He hears it and starts to Hulk up when he walks into a Perfect Plex but he reverses it and hits it on Perfect for the three instead! Winners: The Ultimate Manaics with Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior as sole survivorsWarrior and the Hulkster celebrate their victory and pose for the fans when suddenly the Warrior stops and looks up into the sky, he quickly turns to Hogan who is too busy posing and looks back up before he attacks Hogan! Everyone is shocked including both Heenan and Perfect, the Warrior stands over Hogan and snatches the WWF Championship and holds it over the fallen Hulkster as Survivor Series ends with dead silence..
