I'm rarely surprised or excited to watch WWE these days, but seeing the Shield return was absolutely amazing. The impression I got was now that Reigns is the king, the Shield will protect the crown which is something they never did since none of them had the primary championship while they were active as the Shield before. If plotted well, this could lead to some interesting storylines. If the Shield dominates over the roster like they did before, perhaps a certain Club will rise to meet them?

So Strowman goes from being the true heel in a feud with Owens while being portrayed as the face and vice versa in a feud with The Shield?
Think Vince has finally won the Reigns experiment as well.

It’s MITB. We’ve been watching this game for over a decade. Kayfabe-wise they know the game. And it’s not like Strowman tried cashing in behind Romans back. He literally warned him before his match that he’d be cashing in. Heel move by The Shield 100% unless you follow the ridiculous commentary. They also were quite honest to the fact that the crowd tonight was firmly behind Balor, but I guess people only people pick out the parts they wanna hear. Corey Graves during Roman’s entrance at SummerSlam during silence... “Listen to the roar of this crowd when Roman comes out.” Michael Cole with a blatant lie while promoting Roman/Balor... “Roman is the first world champ to defend the title the night after winning it.” Austin, HHH, Batista, Cena, etc... say hi. I hear every ridiculous statement they make. They use to acknowledge the boos by calling every town they were in “bizarro-world.” They then acknowledged them by trying to turn it around like fans were “booing with approval” because that’s how they express themselves. Now they aparently just say the crowd is “roaring” for Roman Reigns.

The lengths they are going to protect Reigns and get him cheered is sad. Because pretty soon the fans aren't going to give two craps about Strowman and it's going to be another wasted opportunity The lengths?? They aren’t even trying. Blame the audience. It’s too easy. The crowd will be into the Shield. They know they can get Reigns cheered. They want people to believe that they’re trying everything with him and it’s not working. They’re just trolling anymore with him. And it’s funny as f*** because AJ is the longest reigning WWE champ in smackdown history and people couldn’t give 2 s***’s because they want to know what’s going to happen with Roman Not true at all, run the lame ass story of him being "uncrowded champion." Then they literally threw Braun out there at SS to make sure people didn't leave and keep them from booing. They put the Shield around him to get cheers because they know he cannot get them on his own. He "gives" Finn Balor a shot so the people like him.

When in wrestling storyline history has a babyface faction beat people up in thug-like fashion to defend one of their guys with a belt? Please correct me if I'm wrong here.
The Horsemen defended Flair The nWo defended Hogan The Hart Foundation defended Bret (they were faces in Canada yes, but heels everywhere else) DX defended Trips Evolution defended Trips
Shield beating up Braun is not traditional face tactics. What ticks me off more is that Rollins and Dean are money in this group and they have relegated themselves to defend Roman.

I just hope this doesn’t fizzle Rollins out. He’s been red hot for months now. This is my worry. Seth should have been the one to take down Brock with the year he’s had. Dean also needs a heel turn to help break his “Shield little-brother” schitck that he’s been stuck with for years. Instead they’ll be used to protect Roman because he’s the Big Dawg and aparently only one who can lead the group.

That really shouldn’t matter anymore, because for the last few months Braun has been doing nothing but heel/bullying tactics while being a baby face. As for Seth and Dean I have a feeling it will be they continue to do their own things, but whenever Braun comes out to cash in after a Roman match they’ll come out to prevent it probably until Hell in the Cell.

Well I guess you're right since Roman tried to murder Braun with an ambulance, and he's a face. PJ we both know the money is always greater when the face is chasing the belt. Roman now has the belt, I don't know how these incompetent writers are going to delicately balance Rollins/Dean as faces against Ziggler/McIntyre and as "tweeners" defending Roman whenever Braun tries to cash in. Braun is super over with the audience, but may have gotten a bit of backlash here because he's been dominating our internet darling Kevin Owens. The way I see it, these three guys: Braun, Seth, and Dean are in Roman's vortex and it's not looking good for any of them.

So, one week after seeing that Ambrose returned looking shredded to an unreal pop, I see he's back to being Roman's lackey. That killed any excitement I had over his return. I thought it was great he was getting a reboot with a chance to freshen up, but as usual, everything has to revolve around Roman.

I think Seth will still shine with the Intercontinental Championship and be the best of the three like he’s been. Ambrose as long as he doesn’t go back to his old move set will also be fine. Maybe at HitC Ambrose will have the heel turn everyone wants on either Seth or Roman? But even without a heel turn as long as Dean doesn’t go back to his old ways with that weak move set I feel both he and Seth will still excel as singles competitors even if they continue to help Roman. As for Roman and Braun neither are the traditional face and until we get a one on one matchup with how both are booked now I will keep an open mind as to which way the wwe goes. But that said I can see them having Roman lose to Braun and then try to have us believe Roman is the “underdog” chasing him for months. lol

It's amazing that Ronda is finally a legitimate foil for Stephanie McMahon. It's taken like 15 years for her to find someone outside of Rock or Jericho who, as a character, doesn't have to listen to a word she says, but I'm happy it's finally happened. I think they could march Stephanie out there once a month and I would be down to watch Ronda put her in an armbar.
I guess that was Balor's rematch for the title... coming off the hottest night Balor has had since he won that title and he loses to Roman. I hope that was a match to prove he still belongs on that level because otherwise I can't help but feel like that was a useless payoff to something they had tucked in their back pocket for 2 years.
The Shield reunion was awesome as long as you don't think about the semantics of it for too long.

Coming off a Summerslam that I really enjoyed, I thought that show was, by and large, hot garbage.

Everyone here is obsessed with whatever the big dog is up to, so kudos to WWE for catering to us. We will all continue to watch every week, even if we say we don’t. Vinnie Mac has each and every one of us in the palm of his hand.

Rumor is they gave Kurt some weeks off because RAW is headed to Canada. And due to his legal issues, Kurt is not allowed the cross the border.

They should have done something like that for AOP when they were having trouble with their work VISAs.

They got some cheers. Club attacking Roman while AJ chased the title. They got some cheers. Authority attacking Roman. They got... ...Oh I see the common denominator there.

When they reformed late last year, he was more energized and motivated than he had been in a long time.

Well and as I said a few pages back, if they still plan to turn Ambrose eventually, it makes more sense to show how strong their bound is again. Least for a lil while.

I love Randy and Jeff but damn it's sad seeing them move so slow
Must be like how some of you older fans felt watching Hogan/Savage/Flair stuff in WCW
Like yeah it's great to see two of my idols wrestling in 2018, but it's also kinda sad to see how slow they are
