So as a change of pace from all the “What if” threads I thought I would ask what was the first match you remember watching? Also what are you favorite Classic matches?
For me the first match I remember watching was in 1975-‘76. It was a best of three Tag Team Championship Match between the Executioners (Studd and Kowalski) vs Chief Jay Strongbow and Billy White Wolf.
And my all-time favorite matches are...
1990 GAB Sting vs Flair.
‘00 Royal Rumble NYC Street Fight Triple H vs Cactus Jack.
WrestleMania IX Steiner Brothers vs Headshrinkers.

My first match I remember seeing was Savage vs DiBiase at WrestleMania IV.
My favorite matches are:
- Savage vs Warrior at WrestleMania VII
- Bret Hart vs Mr Perfect at SummerSlam
- Savage vs Flair at WrestleMania VIII

First match was steiners vs money inc cage match from summerslam spectacular 93
Favorite matches are bret vs owen cage match and bret vs austin(any of the 3)

I can't really pinpoint a single match from my youngest years. I'd begun watching back around '89, but I was still only 4, so my memory is sort of hazy, at best.
When I got back into it as the Attitude Era began heating up, the first thing I remember was Farooq cleaning house on the Nation, canning Crush, Savio, etc.
I'd tuned in at the behest of my friend Josh who swore Hogan and Sting were to be in the same ring that night, but I didn't know the difference between WCW and WWF, so I stopped on the first wrestling I found and watched that.
USA was channel 30. TNT was 42. You do the math.
I've never compiled a list of favorite matches, but off the top of my head, I often list Savage/Steamboat (WMIII), Michaels/Ramon (WMX), Bret/Owen (WMX), and HHH/Rock (SummerSlam '98). I'm sure there's more, but those are the first to sort of pop into my head.

I cant recall what the first match I saw but I do remember how I first got into wrestling was watching with my dad. Seeing the likes of Bruno,Graham, Steele, Andre, etc. I was hooked immediately.
I got a ton of favorite matches but to name a few...
Flair/Race Starrcade 83
Savage/Steamboat WM III
Bret/Perfect SSlam 91

Honestly it was so long ago I don’t remember the end of the third fall. I just vaguely remember lying on the living room floor watching it with my father, but I only remember bits and pieces of the match now. |

I can't seem to remember my very first match on TV or live for that matter, I was at MLG when I was an infant lol, that I know for sure and I was obsessed about WWF stickers in chips and those ice cream bars. I do have memory of Roddy Piper smashing the coconut on Snuka, so it had to be earlier than that...

cant remember my 1st match to well, but i remember percy pringle managing someone in 1984. i remember seeing piper attack albano/lauper too. 1st match i actually remember is hogan vs piper on mtv. was SOOO pumped when mr.t ran in the ring. i was hooked after that.
a few fav matches are:

many 87-91 team survivor series matches
wargames (super powers/warriors vs horseman)
the whole starrcade 89 event
many snme & clash of champions matches
hogan vs warrior
steamboat vs savage

First WWF match I saw was Hogan v Warrior at WM6, albeit it was a highlight show so only clips. I saw some WOS British Wrestling when I was younger but couldn’t think of my first match.
Favourite classic matches (no particular order)

Can’t remember the 1st match, but it was definitely a WCCW tv show, probably 1985. Maybe 84. Started watching WWF late 85/early 86. 1st live event was February 5, 1987. I know there was a Lanny Poffo match because I still have a frisbee. Blackjack Mulligan won a bunkhouse battle royal. Main event was Piper vs. Adonis. I can remember the last 30 seconds of that match like it happened yesterday.
