Can’t remember the 1st match, but it was definitely a WCCW tv show, probably 1985. Maybe 84. Started watching WWF late 85/early 86. 1st live event was February 5, 1987. I know there was a Lanny Poffo match because I still have a frisbee. Blackjack Mulligan won a bunkhouse battle royal. Main event was Piper vs. Adonis. I can remember the last 30 seconds of that match like it happened yesterday. Did you get one of his poems inside it?

The first thing I remember seeing happen live was the Jake Roberts/Randy Savage cobra bite Man I remember that angle like it was yesterday. Vince screaming on commentary ''This wasn't supposed to happen!!'' was the icing on the cake.

For some reason I remember the British Bulldogs in some match in the 80's. I went with my dad to some friend's house to watch a PPV. Not sure why he even took me, wasn't a fan yet, seemed random lol. Not sure what event, or match. I think they had the tag straps.

I remember watching on my own regularly from RR92 on. However I was watching before with my brother who is 10 years older than me.
The earliest thing I vividly remember watching though, was the Wrestling Classic vhs tape.

Pretty sure the first matches I saw were the squash matches on the WWF Saturday morning shows in the late 70s/early 80s. I grew up thinking S.D. Jones and Iron Mike Sharpe were big stars because they were on every week; not the jobbers I later learned they were. I know I saw highlights of Dusty Rhodes vs Superstar Billy Graham but I can't count that since it wasn't the entire match.
The first match I distinctly remember is from a live show I went to: Piper/Orton vs Snuka/Tonga Kid in a tornado tag match. I was disappointed that Piper lost but it was a fun match. I'm sure there were matches before it on the card but I couldn't tell you what they were. All I cared about was seeing Roddy Piper wrestle.

First match I ever saw was pretty great -- Hogan/Warrior Wrestlemania 6. Family had the cheater box at the time so watched it with my dad and brother and thought it was the greatest thing I'd ever seen. For some reason, however, I didn't get fully into wrestling until early 1993 -- WM9 and that King of the Ring are when I became a huge wrestling fan.
My favorite matches overall these days largely come from NJPW (and classic AJPW) but as far as classic WWE/WCW matches go I've got to go with some of the obvious greats -- Bret/Owen WMX, Shawn/Razor WMX, Bret/Austin (either SS 96 or WM13), Taker/HBK HIAC, Flair/Steamboat Chi-Town Rumble, etc.

The only live event I ever went to was when I took my father to see the Saturday Night Main Event at the Meadowlands with Uncle Elmer’s wedding. The Main Event was Piper vs Orndorff which was the whole reason I wanted to go to the show. We had a great time.
