You should've said "Will you stop!" Or ''Will you be serious?!?!'' Gorilla Monsoon: "Enough already." Bobby Heenan: "I got carried away." Gorilla Monsoon: "I wish you would."

97...nah. no chance of it happening & Sting wouldn't have fit with the direction Vince was going at all IMHO. Late 92 when Vince made the offer to him was when he should have jumped.
He would have been the guy then......imagine Sting in his red/white/blue turning up on the intrepid instead of Luger to slam Yoko? Man oh man.

I agree. A version of Warrior that could actually wrestle and the roster would have enjoyed being around. Sting beats Hogan for the title, work with feuds like Sting vs. Earthquake, Sting vs. Rude, Sting as the American hero beating Sgt. Slaughter at Wrestlemania 7, Sting vs. Macho King, Sting vs. the Undertaker, list goes on... Why wouldn't we have Sting v. Hogan II at Mania 7?

I think it would have been more interesting had Sting jumped anywhere between 89-92. How does that effect Warrior, Hogan, etc? Did Sting take steroids? The WCW wrestlers of late 80's/early 90's didn't look as roided up as the cartoon wrestlers of the WWF. Barry Windham, Bobby Eaton etc. Maybe Sting would have taken steroids with Bulldog and Warrior and be dead now if he would have joined the WWF. sting took heavy amounts of steroids. by the time the crow gimmick came around he was certainly on FAR less compounds than he had been in late 80s/early 90s, but make no mistake that to keep his weight on a touring schedule he had at the very least heightened testosterone. and while you may argue that steroids contributed to their deaths, there is absolutely no evidence that it killed either of those men. Dave boy smith was known for using crack cocaine and also painkillers. those drugs are directly related to heart issues. steroids aren’t all unhealthy, but the way some wrestlers abuse their bodies with them and combine them with drugs and a rough lifestyle is why we lost so many of the 80s/90s guys so fast.

Do you have proof? (Not trying to be mean, brother) Yeah quite a few guys have talked about this. Vince was in desperate need of new "top guys" after he canned Warrior & Bulldog & Machos failed 2nd title run.....Bret was unproven as 1# and of course Hogan was gone. He put out the feelers to Sting and there was talks. When Turner got wind he told whoever was in charge at the time that Sting was to be retained at all costs....that's where the term "Sting Money" came out of because of the deal Borden cut for $$$/Dates. Hall & Nash use the term Sting money all the time when they were talking about jumping ship in 96 Flair said that even though he was on his way out of WWF in late 92 he advised Sting to jump....because he was so marketable & WCW wasn't exploiting that at all. He told him "Vince will know how to sell you brother....he will know what to do. You will be on everything that can be sold for a buck sooner than you can spit"

I don't see the locker room throwing a hissy fit like with Luger

I really liked Yokozuna as a heel champ looking back, but Sting vs Bret at a Mania, wow.

I am aware. I unfortunately watched "Self Destruction of Ultimate Warrior" DVD where Bobby Heenan took shots at Warrior at every opportunity. I believe he said "everybody hated the guy" and "the reason he was from parts unknown was that no town wanted to say he was from there". Also Hogan said that "him and the boys where going to break Warrior's legs" (when Warrior held Vince at ransom).

Was that why The Ultimate Warrior made fun of him for his cancer?

Was that why The Ultimate Warrior made fun of him for his cancer? The Warrior was the worst. He's the one guy I don't think should be in the HOF. He had some repulsive views and treated everyone like shit. I never hear any one in the business day anything good about him.
