Random thought: is there an internal WWE policy that the US title should be held by a (kayfabe) non-American wrestler whenever possible?

That ending was random and yet I loved it.

Vince: "What I'm telling you AJ is I... want... ruthless aggression!"
Because that worked fifteen years ago so let's try it again.

That ending was random and yet I loved it. At first when Vince was asking who AJ was, I wondered if he knew the cameras were on lol

Vince's jab at CM Punk was nice when talking to AJ.
Also, it was funny how badly the cheers and boos were edited into Smackdown this week. The "this is awesome" chant when not one single fan on the hard camera side was chanting was priceless!

This is one of Nakamura’s better matches. Nakamura and Rusev have dumb levels of chemistry. Every match between them is a banger.

At first when Vince was asking who AJ was, I wondered if he knew the cameras were on lol Sometime I truly wonder if Vince's character is deliberately delusional. The ratings on SDLive were consistent with a small drop or rise here and there. Raw was abysmal. Yet, the segment with AJ kind of made me feel like he thinks SDLive is the show that is failing. I do like how Vince is smirking at the end of the punch. People are thinking this is a heel turn. People who think this didn't see the slap by Vince or understand that Vince was firing up AJ.

Yeah while I believed the segment was a slight toward AJ (and a kinda nod to the internet community and the belief Vince doesn't know his own company), it actually demonstrated a real supportive hand to him, giving him the greenlight to grab the reins and become an even bigger star in WWE.

I didn't view it as a slight but definitely a nod to the IWC AJ talked in interviews about WWE wanting him to change his name upon debut and fans thinking it was dumb because everyone knows him. = Vince going "What's your name?" AJ talked about how WWE wanted him to have a pitbull mentality, and fans thinking AJ couldn't carry it = Whatever those statements were about being a monster or darkness or whatever" Vince not knowing his own product = Not knowing anything about SDLive.

Basically, I took it as the minute Vince told him about the segment that Vince was basically signalling to him "I'm making you a ing MADE MAN in this company. That is true but the belief Vince had that he himself NEEDED to demonstrate his kayfabe support for Styles now, only after his Anointed One is out of the picture, lends credence to the notion AJ is merely in the right place at a point of creative upheaval, not in recognition for the past 2+ years of stellar service and tireless work ethic. It is heavily reported Vince thinks highly of Styles but that argument is out there. Still, I hope this means even bigger plans are in the works for him. A Rumble victory and a challenge issued to Lesnar is what I'm pulling for.

Really surprised that no one spoiled the Rusev win for me on Twitter or anywhere, genuinely avoided spoilers for both shows for an entire week without even trying to. Curious to see where the AJ angle goes. Weird segment, but I kinda liked it. I always like seeing Vince on TV again.
