So help me out here folks....when you all think of Sid which company do you associate him with?
WCW: 3 stints...…
89-91:Skyscraper, Horseman.....
93: Vader Ally, stabber of Arn and seemed to favour a squeegee as favourite choice of weapon for streetfights with Pillman.
99 til the break: Multi time world champ & Main eventer with half a brain apparently.
WWF:
91/92: As Sid Justice-featured in the 4th(?) rerun of the Hogan's friend turns on him yarn.....
95-97: HBKs bodyguard then enemy, Bounced all over as a heel/tweener then was given the World title to carry to WM13 in a time of absolute turmoil backstage. Would disappear from WWF altogether in the Summer of 1997 strangely.
Personally I tend to associate him with WCW because that's where I first seen him as part of the 4H with Flair,AA & Windham & then there was the Galoob figures of the time too.
what say you folks on this conundrum? LOL

I think wcw as well. I always wondered(and don't know if he said this in a shoot) why WWE gave him Justice as a last name?

I classify him more as a WWE guy than a WCW guy for the simple fact that he won the WWE Title before he won any titles in the WCW.
When I first seen Sid it was in 1989 as the Skyscrapers, so when he jumped to the WWE in 1991, I did feel he was a WCW guy.
So when he went back in 1993 it seemed normal for Sid to be in WCW with Vader against Sting and Bulldog.
But when he went to the WWE in 1995 and started to feud with Diesel, HBK, Bigelow and such, and continue to stay with the company off and on for the next three years, it just made Sid seem more like a WWE guy than a WCW guy.
His short run in ECW which lead back to one last WCW run was okay. But even then, to me he was still a WWE guy.

Gotta give WCW the slight edge just because I loved his squash matches more there and plus the brief team with Vader was gold.
In all honesty though it didn't matter what company he was in as I was always a big fan. He's the master and ruler of the world!!!!

For me it’s not even a question it’s WCW.

I was brought up on WWF so will forever see him associated more with them than WCW. My perception of him in WCW was he was a bit of a joke. Between his involvement in the shock master angle (albeit not his fault) and the fight with Arn to his weird promo’s (half the brain you have etc.).
But as I mentioned not a huge fan of WCW so have probably missed some classic content of his.

I voted WWF. I started watching WCW when the NWO caught fire, and lost interest around the time Goldberg was screwed out of the title. So I only ever watched him in the WWF

I have a feeling Hogan made sure that Sid wouldn't take his spot since Sid was promised the top spot. It's quite easy, working with Hogan was always a big payoff. I know there was issues about Sid like preferring to be a heel or that whole softball thing and getting injured when he should've been the one to win the title at This Tuesday in Texas etc...but come on he had the look, good on the mic at the time, was taller than Hogan, had the powerbomb which was crazy for us WWF fans....had everything going for him. No matter what, I remember clearly how over he was in 91-92.
Winning the title off of Shawn at SS96 was proof the company needed change and I'm glad he got the strap. Too bad, from what I understand he had neck problems around WM13 so that main event was poor and it just didn't work out. Would've been interesting to see him taking on babyface Austin down the road in a big match.

Interesting thoughts. I always liked Sid too. I remember being pleasantly surprised for the crowd reaction to him @ SS96 against HBK. Vince of course was horrified!! LOL

Man, good question, I really don't know. I guess it depends on the name. If I hear Psycho Sid I think of WWF, if I hear Sid Vicious I think of WCW.

I feel as if the wwf really fleshed our his character and made him into the psycho his character was, so my vote goes for wwf.

My Godson is currently running his Invasion Angle with the figs of that time(97-99)....He is wondering whether to have Sid turn on the WWF who are currently having guys being put out of action right & left by WCW attackers.....that's why Im asking!!
Austin has been ran down by a mystery attacker. Was menat to be a 3 way between Austin HBK & Bret(C). Jericho interfered & clobbered HBK with a pipe.....eye injury!!! UTs Leg was broken by the Outsiders with a cinder block Assorted WCW folk have interefered in Brets title matches leading folks to be suspicious of him Rock was given a concussion by a Harlem Heat beatdown Shamrock was arrested for attacking Jericho in the crowd and had a pull apart brawl with Vader to beat all!!! Licence to compete suspended Outsiders & Giant mauled the APA & NAO after both teams were spent in a street fight.
its quite the angle!!! WCW winning with Hogan, Macho etc yet to get involved!!! LOL

WCW, never laughed so hard in my life during that one Thunder episode they kept getting him on the phone and he was constantly claiming to be close to the arena but he was lost. also the pic they use of Sid for the on the phone graphic was hilarious.

I associate him more with WCW but WWF did better things with him. In my eyes Halloween Havoc 90 killed Sid for that time period so the WWF made him better.

WWF/E for the fact that he main evented two WMs and won the WWF/E Title twice while his WCW stints were mostly forgettable besides for some unintentionally hilarious moments during his final run.
And I’m a huge Sid mark.

Interesting question we should have more of these polls for other superstars like Angle, Jeff Hardy, Sting,Randy Savage, etc who were major stars in two companies or more.

WCW. He was a part of their golden era and his WWF stints were horrible as with almost everything else from the New Generation Era. His match with Undertaker at WM13 is one of the worst main events of all time.
