Ok, I had the thought of this, when I was watching some videos tonight, and it made me wonder, what are some feuds of the past, that you think don't get as much love as you think?
I have many, but the one that made me think of the topic, was Steve Austin vs. Dude Love in 98. It was relatively short, but produced two PPV main events, with Unforgiven and Over the Edge. And the whole build for OTE was great, with Vince stacking the deck against Austin, With Brisco as time keeper, Paterson as ring announcer and himself as ref, with Austin losing the belt if he touched Vince. Then at the PPV, Undertaker coming out to make sure Vince would call a fair match. At the PPV, with the hype video and the pre match build, it just had that big match feel to it. And the feud itself played so well into the ongoing Austin/McMahon feud, as well as helping re-fuel the Undertaker/Mankind feud, with Dude being fired the next night on Raw, and then Mankind returning later in the night to attack the Undertaker, and set the course for history with their Hell in a Cell match at King of the Ring.

There have been so many its kind of hard to narrow it. Especially when I look back at the 80s when I was a kid. Between all the territory stuff I got to watch thanks to cable, and the fact that most of these guys , regardless of which promotion they were in, seemed larger than life to me. So I'll try to narrow it down to the ones that impressed me as an adult. Even then there is a LOT to choose from that stick out all these years later. One that springs to mind as being truly underrated, for all it accomplished, was from WCW circa 97/98. Raven (and The Flock) vs Perry Saturn. That was well crafted enough that it managed to get both guys over. Some of you may remember, that feud got Saturn over in such a way, that he was basically the late 90s equivalent of Samoa Joe. The program had length and was booked pretty well throughout. Neither guy suffered from it either. Unfortunately a LOT of the 97/98 mid card WCW stuff that was good, got lost in the shuffle or forgotten over the years in favor of the nWo, Sting, cruiserweight division, Goldberg era or picking apart the companies demise. But ,at the time, there were several gems being booked on that mid tier level, that were entertaining and useful.

I loved how after he broke away from the Flock, it turned to Saturn trying to freak the rest of the members from Raven's control.

Some great shouts already.
Austin vs Dude Love was a phenomenal feud to get Steve rolling as champ with Vinnie in the background. Both matches were great too....think Ill watch them tonight!!!
Raven vs Saturn was also great.....I remember being really invested in that one actually.
Cant think of one myself.....hmmm

Steve Corino vs. Dusty Rhodes in ECW is another one I'll add to the list. I would say this feud was the one that really put Corino up to the next level, and took him out of the kinda joke he was prior to it. Plus the Bullrope Match they had, is one of my favorites.

Piper/Rude from the late Summer/Fall of 89. Still say it should've had the blowoff at WM VI.

Edge/Taker Hardy/Punk MHardy/Edge Hardy/Orton These were great, but I wouldn't necessarily say these are underrated. I see these alot here when people ask for some great rivalries.

Benoit vs Sullivan. These two pushed the violence limit every week on Nitro.
Patterson vs Slaughter. The Boot Camp match was one of the first hardcore matches I ever saw. Still a favorite of mine.
Strongbow vs Ladd. Just hearing Ladd's promos for any of their matches is comedy gold. Plus, it was nice to see Strongbow get his ass handed to him.

Matt Hardy vs. MVP with his quest to win the US Title off of MVP is a very underrated feud.
Undertaker vs. Goldust in 1996. They had 3 solid matches on In Your House PPVs that year.
Shawn Michaels vs. Marty Jannetty was pretty underrated too. Due to Jannetty getting fired three times from 1991 - 1994, these two never had a real great long run in their feud. I always enjoyed how in Royal Rumble 94 and in 96 that both men when confronted with each other would duke it out in the middle of the ring. Fans always popped for it too.
