After his performance tonight, it's hard to believe that Shogun dominated Rampage and won the 05 GP belt. And for a PPV named Knockout, there hasn't been one yet.

Not really. Liddell was way too cautious this fight. That's understandable, coming off a loss, but when your only offensive ability is in reckless striking, you have to do that to win. Chuck Liddell was protected in his title reign by not fighting one decent striker. As soon as he does, he loses two straight fights.

I've never considered myself emo.... But I'm actually ing, like, down over Chuck losing. I don't know why. I was angry when Rampage caught him. I don't even know what to say right now. But no, Jardine was not lucky. Jardine did exactly what he said he was going to, besides finish Chuck, which he wasn't far from. I was praying for Chuck to come back like he did on Guy Mezger in PRIDE, knocking Guy out after being floored by a high kick. But it didn't happen. Chuck is 37 years old. He needs to sit back, and think about what's going on. Is he older now, and not what he once was? Did he look past Keith, and just see Wanderlei's face in the background? I don't know. He doesn't either. you Keith Jardine. Congrats on the great performance and win, but you because I wanted Chuck to win. You magnificent bunghole.

Man, what a great PPV from start to finish. Forrest beat another Pride guy Shogun by rear-naked choke in the 3rd round. That was an awesome fight. Forrest was my pick from the start. Man, aside from Rampage, I don't think I'll EVER pick or bet on another guy from Pride again in my life.
Seriously, if I would've picked the last few Pride guys to win their fights, I would've been burnt how many times already?? Cro-Cop loses two fights back to back, Dan Henderson loses his UFC debut fight, and now Shogun loses his debut fight.
These Pride guys should stay over in Pride because once they make the change to UFC, it just doesn't work in their favor and they end up losing and getting their asses kicked.
As for Jardine, I don't argue that decision at all. I felt that he was the more aggressive and dominant on the feet. He deserved to win that fight for sure.
Now, where Chuck goes from here, I have no idea. Is his fight with Wanderlei Silva still on or not?? I don't believe it is because they said IF he wins his fight he would fight Wanderlei in December and I'm assuming those plans are scrapped now.
Anyways, just an awesome PPV tonight. Puts anything WWE has offered this year to shame. No question about it.

YES YES YES YES YES!!!!! PRIDE IS DEAD!!!!! Sorry...I feel a lot better now!! If you didn't have a picture of New Jack in your signature, I'd insult your intelligence. But either way, PRIDE is dead. The company is dead. But where do you think the UFC Light Heavyweight champion is from? And where do you think the No. 1 fighter in the world is from? Yeah. Just stop it.

This was an amazing PPV. Jon Fitch looked great. I was very impressed with Jardine and Forrest, as well. And Tyson Griffin had another very good fight. I loved this event - worth every dime.

Apparently Quentin "Rampage" Jackson is not from Pride.
Didnt see tonights fight, but was kind of shocked and sad that Chuck lost. If anyone can hook me up with a tape or something, let me know.

Seriously, if I were Dana White I'd be pretty pissed off because these guys from Pride haven't lived up to their hype and have been disappointing since coming over to UFC. I mean, whatever he paid for them, I think he got ripped.
So far, Rampage is the only exception to the rule for Pride guys doing well in the UFC. The rest of them have been a major let-down.
I have no idea who the next Pride guy to come over to UFC will be, but I'll tell ya this right now, I won't pick him in the fight. I'll be picking the other guy from UFC because he will win.
Like I said, Pride guys are awesome over there and that's where they should stay. Once they make the transition to UFC, it completely backfires on them and they end up losing, aside from Rampage of course.
That Shogun guy put on a tremendous fight with Forrest last night, but he ended up losing in the end in a way that he hasn't lost up until that point, by rear-naked choke and Forrest made him tap. I don't believe he ever lost that way over in Pride. Same goes for Cro-Cop. I don't believe he ever got knocked the hell out like he did in his fight with Gonzaga.
Bottom line, with the exception of Rampage Jackson, all these Pride guys are all hype and in the end, they simply don't live up to it once they come over to The UFC.

Boy, you guys are so right about Pride being dead and a let down, but really, what did you expect? Pride guys to hold two of UFC's titles? Oh, wait... Please. CroCop has been terrrrrrible. Shogun lost (which I didn't see, so I can't judge how badly). But other than that, they've turned out just fine. - Anderson Silva - Came to UFC and was miles BETTER than in Pride. Currently holding and commandingly defending his belt.
- Quentin Jackson - Top of his game, obviously
- Dan Henderson - OK, just because he lost, you are all lumping him in with, well, basically, CroCop. It was a completely different situation. It was a TITLE SHOT against the #1 light heavyweight in the world, who is a Pride guy. In a fight that was WELL fought and could probably have gone either way. And in 10 fights, he probably would have won 5 times.
- Nog won his first fight, but nobody is talking about that.
- Insert requisite Fedor-will-beat-all-comers-in-UFC comment here
Look, I see how, with all of the hype Pride fans have spouted, it seems like they were a major disappointment, but if you look at the big picture, and not just how incredibly bad CroCop has been, they are not a huge disappointment. And for all of you idiots who say they should, "stay over in Pride," THEY CAN'T, it doesn't exist anymore.
