First of all, kudos to Bill and his team for seeing the error in their ways with the first Ron Simmons torso choice, it was completely inappropriate and I appreciate the change - not the torso or body I would have gone with, but it's better than the original concept. But this is where the Mattel spreadsheets theory holds water for me. Ron uses the same parts choices as Stevie Ray, which makes him the same height as Stevie who is billed at 6'7" or something like that, when Ron is billed at 6'2". Medium-sized boots will fix the height issue and put him in the neightbourhood of Sting (6'3") and Road Warrior Animal (6'1"), but there is some slight calf over-hang. With the drastic reduction in height, his Batista-torso actually looks more appropriate now. If the spreadsheet didn't exist, and they weren't following it blindly, why would they make such a glaring error on his height?

Are there any fairly common figures that use the medium white boots?
That Ron Simmons figure looks so much better it's ridiculous.

That Ron Simmons figure looks so much better it's ridiculous. Cheapest option would probably be a Bo Dallas elite

Some people invest in their collections to make money, be it cars, be it houses, who is to say they are wrong for that? Its not different at all

Totally different scenarios. You invest in the stock market to make money. That's the only thing you get out of it. Some people invest in their collections to make money, be it cars, be it houses, who is to say they are wrong for that? Its not different at all Lets be honest, and we can stick to wrestling figures for this. There is no true investment in wrestling toys. The “market” fluctuates so much, that there is no possible way to pin point actual value. Lets take many peg warmers from hasbro. Before the Major Wrestling figure Podcast hit, amd before Mattel started their Hasbro inspired line, many of the Hasbro’s were cheap. I mean super cheap. Like between $10-$20 loose. Now, the ceiling has cracked and people are dropping $1,000’s on pisspoor mailaways. Why? Nostalgia and relevance. That is what resellers thrive on. The best part is, in another few years, those prices will bottom out and you will likely be able to buy most of if not all of them for half the cost of a mailaway. The same can be said for Mattel elites/basics. I got to see this happen a hand full of times in my 30 years of life. BCA was hot, certain magazine shops/early online shops were selling Diesel/Razor 2 packs and Warrior MOC figures for $60-$80 in the 90’s. TTL came along and tossed BCA’s into clearance bins and you could go on the early ebay site and pick many BCA’s up for a couple bucks. TTL hit its stride and figures went sky high like the HHH/Cactus jack set, and Brock lesnars debut figure. Then R3 hit, and TTL stayed relevant with current releases but many sold their TTL’s for R3’s cause it was the New Line. Then RA’s hit, and single hand idly crushed TTL and R3 markets. Early exclusives couldn’t be given away here, it was all RA style. The. RA had a massive run through WWE, ECW,WCW, NWA, and a short stay in TNA. Alot of them hit stupid prices. CSTT LOD 2 pack ran me $65 on ebay. You can get it now for $15. Why? Because Mattel came along, and what did it do? Crushed the RA market and the bottom fell out. Now there are some rare figures in RA, such as many from the Rocky Line, but most can be found dirt cheap, until that Nostalgia feelin hits from a podcast from the broski’s and now people want them and the market raises. My point here is, if you think your Elites are a gold mine, sell them now, cause once the MattyTrain is derailed ( I hope that never happens) your gold will be worth dust!

jayrod2009 not exactly true, there arw loads of elites that are worth more now then when new, a couple less now because of the horrible decision to rerelease some. I bet in the 90s nobody thought that a Ludvig Borga hasbro would be selling for £100, if someone invest their money in wrestlig figures then great, good luck to them, nobody should be mocked for making an investment, nothin wrong with wanting to make some money

Why are you giving their podcast so much credit for the Hasbro prices skyrocketing? This has been happening for over a year and they've only done 2 episodes.

Some Hasbro figs were going for over £100 long before they started hyping them, it has nothing to do with them at all, only a few hundred people have even heard it lol

I gave credit to both Mattel for the relaunch and the podcast. Have you seen their Twitter? Tons of people are rebuying past toys based on influence and nostalgia triggered by their podcast. I have kept an eye on Hasbros over the years and there are annual rollercoasters. SDCC and Tax season seem to be the high points each year. However, there is still proof in the fact that mattels are only truly valuable during their initial runs. After that, only a hand full will carry a high resell value over the years. So, no, there is no initial or longterm investment plan for them. In conclusion, quit ya scalpin and enjoy ya toys jabron’s!

Is the female end of the belt so long so that it will fit on Vader? That's nice attention to detail if true, but I wish they would've just made both sides a bit longer (and therefore even) instead of one extra long.

Take your profits and help everyone else Stock Market has absolutely nothing to do with someone buying up all the wanted/lower case count toys that they know they can flip for a profit. It’s TOYS, literally. There’s no strategy in knowing a case count and buying the known demanded ones ... a 3rd grader could do that. Stock Market involves risk, buying toys and flipping then requires knowing case counts in advance and browsing measage board to find out demand... pretty simple.
