Looks like using a laundry basket as a cage for wrestling figures lmao. Apparently Impact tweeted about that too, posting that picture with : A red steel cage with a ceiling? Sounds familiar. Honestly stupid to bring attention to it, seeing as how that match was a steaming pile of hot garbage. I love how they thought it was a good idea to have a cage, with a dome ceiling, and the point was for the winner to try and climb out through the hole in it's center. It was comical and sad, watching Homicide struggle in trying to get out of that.

I like the old one better too. But I think the reason why they changed it is because the roof of the old one was a lot shorter and it was kinda harder to do spots in that small amount of space. I agree that it was likely harder to do spots but that’s what I loved about it. I remember watching the 2002 Lesnar/Taker match and Lesnar could touch the ceiling supports when on the top rope. I thought it was what made the match special because there was literally no room for these guys to run from each other. The high walls and ceiling just make it look silly to me. In all honesty when the cell got bigger it lost it's aura. It just basically became a match were 4 large cage walls surrounded the ringside with a roof high, high above. like you said when it was smaller it felt like the guys were trapped within a small space and it basically was Hell in a Cell.

You have the classic cage match that has a door and walls to climb over so why not make it more difficult with the exit only being a hole in the centre of the roof. It would've been cool if the Ambrose asylum was something like that.

They had ideas that sounded good on paper, but when it came to execution they bombed. And while I'm not one for wrestlers practicing out a match before hand, with what was required to win, maybe, before the show ever happened, have Homicide try to actually exit through that hole, to see if he could actually do it, because it made him look like a real fool, when he was continuously struggling to climb out.

Ahhh, the old Devil’s a**hole steel cage. I literally think of absolutely nothing but Homicide not being able to escape the top of that thing every time I see it.

Wasn’t the highlight of this match Jeff Hardy climbing and sitting at the top of it in the first show of 2010? lol

I honestly doubt WWE even thought of TNA's red cage when they decided to paint it red. Their concept was awful to be honest. That's EXACTLY what I thought of when I saw the pic!

Eh, it looks alright. I doubt the color of the cell is going to ruin my enjoyment of the show.

I bet if it was another company, they'll be praise for it. To me it almost feels like WWE can do nothing right. I'll admit the product is not as great as it should be with the talent they have, but not everything they do turns to s***.

They’re too busy having a G1 Climax over the newest Being The Elite to notice that WWE is putting out decent to good shows week after week since that dud of a Raw 25.

The cell being red isn't ideal... seems pretty campy, but then again WWE sets are all flashy now so it kind of makes sense. Even so, I'm mostly curious how this will look on TV. Regardless it (hopefully) shouldn't affect the quality of the matches.
