The teenager in me is marking out for DX vs BoD but logical me says this should have happened in 2010 Speaking of, it could have easily been done at WM 26 with whom ever loses the fall has to retire. Taker pins Shawn planting the seeds to HHH to want revenge the next year. All 4 were still at their peaks at the time. They could have given us a great program.

I just want to yell "Is nothing sacred?!" from the rooftops. Shawn is going to be remembered as a shell of himself and the match from Mania 26 has been tainted. It's still one of the closest examples to a perfect match as you get, but it deserved to be left unstained. But god forbid money not rule everything. God forbid a legend get to age gracefully. I'm sorry, but the "gunslinger who can't die" deal doesn't fit Shawn. It's a one off payday that doesn't help business long term.

Nothing in wrestling is ever sacred, the whole business is built on lying to their audience. HBK is wrestling again because of the money. It does help business because people are paying to see him.

I learned to get over it when Flair made his TNA Wrestling debut. It's wrestling. Never say never. If you don't like it, do what I do. Turn it off. The last 4 or 5 PPVs I've watched I've turned off after AJ Styles and Becky Lynch wrestled. I didn't stay to watch my bae Bliss get manhandled by sloppy rousey, and I'm not going to watch Evolution for anything but the Becky Lynch match. At 9.99 it's not a loss to me since PPVs used to cost 49.99. I look at it as paying for the one match. Same here. All I want to see is DB vs. AJ. Once that's done, I'm turning it off. If it somehow main events, great. If it doesn't, I get to go to bed early. This is a business. IF HBK wants to go out there and wrestle, who cares about "legacy". This is not a sport. This is entertainment. The Belts are the equivalent to the Oscars. All that matters is whether I can find something that entertains me, and I always find at least 1 compelling storyline. Or 3 if I watch SDL.

Acting and fiction is based on lying to the audience so that truths may be expressed about life. And yes, some things are sacred. And it only helps HIM. You're being short sighted because it doesn't build long term returns.

As a die hard HBK fan I have mixed emotions on him wrestling again. As others have stated he had a perfect send off at WM 26 with one of the best built storylines and angle leading into his retirement match. He's kept his word for 8 1/2 years but the money is just to much to turn down.As a fan I would love to see dream match against Styles,Cole,Rollins,Ziggler...ect but in a dream match up and world both men would be in their primes which clearly at 53 HBK no longer is.Maybe he'll surprise us and be great in the ring and not a shadow of himself but again I have doubts.I wish he would have stuck to his guns and stayed retired because even in his 60's,70's,80's people will always want "One More Match" and a dream match up between a current guy and himself, which with his age and wear and tear probably can never live up to the hype our your own personal standers.
But again can't blame him for coming back, the money is just to much and pretty much everyone that's retired in pro wrestling has unretired and had more matches unless they couldn't do it for medical reason(well hell that probably not even the case with Bret's 2010 run)but atleast we still have Stone Cold as a guy who for 15 years has stuck to his retirement so you can hold onto that, well until Sweet Saudi Money III.....

Said it before but that's why I love these Saudi events. If the rumoured 2 a year for 10 years is true I'll be happy.

I can care less about Shawn "tainting his retirement." The guy chose to take a massive payday and who the hell knows, maybe we get a HBK vs. Bryan or Styles out of it all......
I'm all for it, I just wish they could dump the money at Stone Cold to come back for one last match.

If he has his match with Taker at Survivor Series and screws Michaels out of the title at the Rumble for some reason that leads to a match at Mania this will all be worth it for me. I don’t scare if it’s not brilliant, AJ took Shane McMahon to the best match of the night at Mania 2 years ago, so I’ve no major concrns with that, and this has been my #1 dream match for about 13 years.

Yeah, Saudi Arabia is one of the LAST places I want to be. This prince is turning out to be a brutal dictator in the making.

Yeah, Saudi Arabia is one of the LAST places I want to be. This prince is turning out to be a brutal dictator in the making. Looks like the greed of Vince and WWE is catching up to them with the Saudi Arabia deal catching mainstream attention after the murder of an American Journalist that was apparently overseen by the Prince. Money ain’t everything. WWE has shown you their true colors with all this. Do you wear PF Flyers? If not, I need to know what shoes you wear to make that incredible leap in logic. News broke yesterday (Or maybe the day before). The WWE had planned this months ago. If they continue, then they as a company will show their "true" colors. Booking something in advance does not. EDIT: SO it looks like news broke late Saturday night (Eastern), and Social Media picked up on it within 3 days (That's my Facebook feeds first finding of it on a WWE fan page I'm a part of (which usually is quick to post things like that). SO that would make it Tuesday Night. WWE released a one sentence statement yesterday about it after a politician in Connecticut condemned any company doing future business with the Saudi government in wake of the murder of the journalist. That was last night. Their social media pages (at least on Twitter) are devoid of any promotion of the event--aside from recaps of SDL and Raw.

I can’t see this show going through with the recent developments. It’s a damn shame if this show gets cancelled, but the safety of people is way more important. Hopefully they find a way to move the show.
